On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new. On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp. Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

As we drove up from the city, the urban hustle and bustle slowly faded, replaced by lush greenery and the sound of pine trees swaying in the wind. 🌄 **The Rooftop is Pure Soul:** I was absolutely stunned the moment I stepped onto the rooftop – the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stood behind me like a majestic screen, with the entire Erhai Lake and scattered Bai ethnic villages stretching out below. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨. 🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. The natural wood-toned room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making it feel like sleeping right in the forest 🌲. There were also three resident cats, each with their own unique personality, taking turns on patrol. Banyan Tree Lijiang is absolutely beautiful! Even though it rained both days of our stay, the traditional Chinese courtyard felt perfectly in tune with the weather, offering a unique charm. Before booking, I was a little worried after seeing the hotel's pictures – I'm not sure how they took those promotional shots, because in person, the scenery far exceeded my expectations. All my photos were taken with a phone, so they're quite authentic. The service was also excellent; when my child wanted to sleep alone, they even set up an extra bed for them. The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, and there are small animals and many fruit trees on the property. The osmanthus flowers were already blooming during our visit, filling the air with their fragrant scent. On our last day, they even arranged a travel photoshoot for us. All in all, it was definitely worth it!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They confirmed my check-in details and the hotel's location in advance. Upon arrival, they immediately offered to help with my luggage and even assisted with purchasing tickets for the Song Dynasty City show (I didn't realize discounted tickets needed to be bought a day in advance, but the hotel managed to get them for me). They were consistently warm and welcoming whenever I saw them. The breakfast was plentiful and, more importantly, delicious, with a fantastic view from the restaurant. The room was spacious and modern, featuring a double vanity and a large dressing mirror, perfect for two women to get ready simultaneously. My friend was extremely pleased. Initially, I was a bit worried based on some user-uploaded photos on Amap, but thankfully, the hotel's photos on Trip.com were accurate and trustworthy, not misleading. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This guesthouse was hands down the best accommodation experience of my entire trip. All that time I spent choosing it definitely paid off! The host contacted me beforehand to confirm check-in details, created a group chat, shared all the activity information there, and pre-arranged our usage times. The service was absolutely top-notch. The hotel offers a travel photoshoot, and they even give you 3 free photos. Of course, we ended up buying a few more because the shots were just stunning. They provided a delicious afternoon tea, and the bedding was super comfortable. The living room offered direct views of the scenery, though the only downside was a bit of rain, which meant we couldn't take pictures on the terrace as the mirror was covered in water. I recommend everyone stay in the cabins on the first floor; they might be a bit smaller, but you can step right out onto the grassland and play with the animals. If you prefer the main building, I'd suggest sticking to the 2nd or 3rd floor at most – the stairs to the 4th floor are a killer! There's a coffee shop nearby that offers discounts to guests, and their food is delicious. If I ever get the chance to visit Shangri-La again, I would definitely choose this place. Highly recommended!

Choosing the Bolang Hotel for my Lijiang trip was an amazing surprise! Tucked away in the ancient town, the hotel's Naxi-style courtyard design is incredibly tasteful, with a huge garden blooming with hydrangeas. You might even spot alpacas and peacocks – the ambiance is just perfect. The popular infinity pool, perched on a cliff, faces Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly, making for fantastic photos. The rooms are exceptionally well-equipped, featuring underfloor heating throughout, Dyson hairdryers, and scenic bathtubs, all complemented by soft, comfortable bedding. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, with welcome fruits and complimentary afternoon tea upon arrival. It's also very convenient for exploring the ancient town. This was a perfect vacation experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Lijiang.

Back in Dali, I decided to revisit the Xianyun 360-degree Cliff Seaview Hot Spring B&B, and it truly lived up to expectations! The front desk staff were incredibly polite and attentive. I later found out that the humble and helpful manager, who was always ready to assist, was also from Beijing, which made me feel right at home. The B&B's environment is serene and immaculate. The private hot spring pool in the room is definitely the highlight. Soaking in the hot spring, you're directly facing the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake – it's like a landscape painting come to life. During my downtime, I loved sitting on the balcony, gazing at Cangshan and Erhai, which was incredibly therapeutic after a long journey. The restaurant's dishes were delicious and flavorful. My experience was as excellent as ever, truly a hidden gem of a seaview B&B. Choosing to stay here twice speaks volumes about its reliable quality. The staff were very enthusiastic; not only did they offer a complimentary welcome afternoon tea, but they also upgraded our room for free, which was such a pleasant surprise! Room View: From the soaking tub, we had an unbeatable view of the lake and distant mountains – absolutely stunning. Thoughtful Service: They provide a free shuttle service to and from Lijiang Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town, making transportation incredibly convenient. Breakfast: The breakfast was an exquisite, aesthetically pleasing brunch plate, paired with fragrant coffee, making for a truly ritualistic experience. Design & Ambiance: The art space is filled with natural wood and woven bamboo elements, and there's a cozy tea room that's perfect for photos. Courtyard Environment: The outdoor garden is quiet and pleasant, surrounded by nature, ideal for relaxation. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Lijiang!

For my 4-day, 3-night stay in Kunming, I chose the Sheraton, as I've always been a fan of the brand for my travels. The location of the Sheraton Kunming City Center is truly excellent. Right outside the door, you'll find a snack and shopping area, with the old street all around. You don't even need to go to other attractions; you can spend several days just eating, drinking, and exploring the immediate area. 👍 Secondly, the check-in experience was fantastic. From the front desk staff when I first walked in to the cleaning staff and restaurant servers, everyone was warm, polite, and helpful. I didn't encounter a single unenthusiastic person, which is definitely something to praise! 👍 Each floor had plenty of bottled water available for guests to take as needed, which I really appreciated. 👍 On the 8th floor, the breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, with different hot options each day, and everything tasted great! 👍 I've already recommended this hotel to my family and friends! 😄

We had a pleasant stay overall, with several things that really stood out. The room was extremely spacious, with two king-sized beds and plenty of room to move around. It was comfortable and gave us ample space to relax. The dining area also offered gorgeous scenery, making meals much more enjoyable. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. When we discovered some hair caught in the hair trap in the bathroom when we checked in, we reported it to the front desk. They immediately arranged for housekeeping to come and clean it. We were also pleasantly surprised when the front desk later delivered a dessert to our room as a gesture of goodwill. This was a nice example of prompt and thoughtful service recovery. Another small but memorable example of the front desk team's helpfulness happened after midnight. I had an issue with the dryer and needed to open it in the middle of its cycle, but could not figure out how to do so. Although it was already past midnight, the front desk staff patiently helped me troubleshoot the problem and guided me on how to open it. Her assistance quickly resolved the issue, and I really appreciated her willingness to help despite the late hour. Another lovely touch was the warm milk delivered to our room daily. We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea, especially the beautiful dessert designed in the shape of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. These little touches made the stay feel special. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience at the hotel was a weak point. We went for dinner at around 9pm. After the staff seated us, they disappeared, and despite the restaurant being very large, there were no other wait staff in sight. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I eventually had to go looking for someone and tell him that we wanted to order. When we asked whether using DianPing or the hotel guest discount would offer better value for a particular meal we wanted to order, the staff member was unable to advise us. We had to work out the best option ourselves. While this may seem like a small matter, I would expect restaurant staff in a hotel to be familiar with the promotions and benefits available to guests and to be able to provide basic guidance. Things did not improve much after our mushroom hotpot was served. We were essentially left to figure out how to prepare and eat the hotpot ourselves, without any explanation or assistance from the restaurant staff. Based on our experience, they appeared to lack some basic training in customer service, attentiveness and product knowledge. The issue was not that they were unfriendly; rather, they seemed somewhat clueless and undertrained, which made the dining experience unnecessarily difficult. Overall, the hotel has many strengths — a wonderfully spacious room, beautiful scenery, friendly front desk staff and thoughtful guest amenities. The service recovery from the front desk was also impressive and showed that the hotel genuinely cares about its guests. However, the restaurant service needs significant improvement. Better staff training, stronger attentiveness and greater familiarity with the menu and hotel promotions would make a big difference. With those improvements, this could be a much more enjoyable and polished hotel experience.
