The hotel environment is comfortable, the bedding is soft, and it's very clean. The front desk service is super enthusiastic; check-in and check-out are quick, and they process invoices very fast too. The hotel is located right by Shuangqiao Road Night Market, with lots of snacks, which is incredibly convenient.

Highly recommend as This hotel has the best service! Everyone is so nice and goes the extra mile to help. Shoutout to Afei who gave us useful advice and helped to arrange transportation for us to travel from dali to here and then on to shangrila. We were served welcome drinks and snacks and a great hot breakfast. So many convenience stores nearby and 5-8mins walking for halal food options. Hotel has a cafe in the lobby where you can get delicious coffee. We loved our stay and the garden was beautiful. Free usage of their washer dryer too which helped greatly. Hotel can arrange trips to JDSM for you which is highly recommended. Afei was always available on wechat to help us navigate Lijiang as foreigners! Thank you so much for everything and we will be back again soon!

I arrived quite late, and the hotel proactively upgraded my room, so a big thank you to the lovely lady at the front desk – I forgot to ask her name! The location is absolutely fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere. The security guard at the entrance was also very friendly, recommending local specialty restaurants and always greeting us warmly, which was a nice touch. I do suggest improving the breakfast service a bit. On holidays, it gets crowded, and we had to sit in the outer bar area, which meant walking a long way every time to get food. On the second day, I asked for a large mug, but they said none were clean yet, only small ones. Having to keep refilling a tiny cup for coffee by walking back and forth several times was quite tiring…

Beautiful views - the rooms are simple but great for a trip to the rice terraces. We had a problem with the restaurant food on the first night but the problem was promptly resolved by the manager which was much appreciated. The goat hotpot did not come with slice d meat for cooking as expected. Instead all meat was already in the pot (quantity not enough for 2 people as mainly fat and bones which I did not enjoy eating). However the manager offered to remedy this problem by presenting a plate of sliced meat. This show good attitude in resolving problems. Highly recommended.The following evening he made good recommendations for dinner and we enjoyed the food very much.

Tonight, I made a last-minute check-in at the 'Cuihu Hotel', designed by I.M. Pei. It was unplanned, but a delightful surprise. In my opinion, a hotel isn't a museum; its 'sense of history' should be elegant, not heavy, and its 'vintage feel' should be classic, not dated. Before arriving, I was very worried this 69-year-old hotel would feel stuffy and decayed. To my surprise, Cuihu Hotel strikes the perfect balance and shows great wisdom. For example, the public area ceilings are adorned with 24K gold leaf, and the murals feature maple wood relief carvings with gold accents – aesthetics that are certainly a product of their time [tears of joy emoji]. However, they've now added many art pieces to temper this 'bling' and enhance the elegance and scholarly vibe. Even the subtle classical jazz music and the light, delicate fragrance filling the air inject a fresh, youthful spirit into the overall ambiance. Yet, the common issues of older hotels persist: outdated facilities, bathtub design, and those unsightly large pillars… This leaves me feeling conflicted, both loving and hating it, and hesitant about whether I'd stay here again (especially with kids). What truly stood out was the check-in experience: the front desk gifted us fresh roses, a succulent potted plant, and a postcard as souvenirs. In the room, there was a handwritten card, red-billed gull biscuits, Yunnan small-bean coffee powder with a Moka pot. They even pre-arranged a bedtime dessert and a crib bumper. For welcome fruits, the housekeeping auntie knocked on our door with a basket, letting us choose our own! 😄 These interactions significantly elevated the stay, even adding a wonderful touch to my overall impression of this Yunnan trip. In summary, it has history but struggles with modernity; thankfully, the details, service, and quality are all excellent 👍. P.S. The room upgrade was successful, and my 'begging' for it went very smoothly.

The service was excellent; the butler contacted us a day in advance. The surroundings are beautiful, just a 15-minute drive from Haigang Dam, so you can enjoy walks along Dianchi Lake, feed the seagulls, and watch the sunrise and sunset every morning and evening. The hotel facilities are clean and hygienic, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was decent and looked abundant, but it lacked many local Yunnan specialties like Ersi, Erkuai, and Shuipaoli. Additionally, the hotel's design is grand and open, making the lobby quite cold in winter. Walking from Building 5, first floor, directly to the Black Pearl restaurant, it's clear the air conditioning struggles to cover the entire hotel. We often felt chilly, even needing extra layers when dining in the restaurant.

This is a great hotel that's not only well-designed but also provides excellent service. The hotel offers a convenient buggy service from the lobby to all the rooms, and the concierge staff are very responsible and polite. The bedding is comfortable and clean. The bathroom design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully provides privacy. We were a party of three, so we requested an extra bed, which was already set up for us before we even arrived. The private hot spring pool was sanitized, making it comfortable and reassuring to use. We could even enjoy views of Dongfengyun directly from our room's hot spring – absolutely fantastic! My only minor suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of dining options. **Dongfengyun Characteristic Town Tickets and Sightseeing Car Tickets:** The hotel's sightseeing car offers direct pick-up and drop-off to the scenic area, which is very convenient. **5 Retouched Digital Photos for Travel Photography (advance booking required):** The photo quality was excellent, and the photographer was very professional 👍. The composition and pose guidance were spot-on. I loved them so much that I paid to purchase additional unedited photos.

Overall, the hotel offered a great experience. For those nitpickers complaining about outdated facilities, it's a 10-year-old hotel that's been maintained exceptionally well. If you want new, go stay in a formaldehyde-ridden room! The lobby is quite unique and grand. Check-in was smooth with a butler who made communication and problem-solving easy. I forgot to close the screen window when I went out, worried about bugs, and it was sorted instantly via WeChat. The room size is ample, and the balcony view is nice. The bedding is good, and the pillows are comfortable. They even provide bed rails for those with kids. Beyond that, it's a standard, excellent star-rated hotel. There's a courtyard in front of the lobby for relaxing. My wife wanted to try local specialties like Xidoufen and Barener Si, so we skipped breakfast, thus no comment on that. This is also one of only two Tesla Supercharging stations built at hotels in Dali (the other being Junfa Pullman). Tesla isn't stupid, they choose their locations wisely. The location is good, at the foot of a hillside, very quiet. It's very close to the three cableways for Cangshan. For exploring the western route (Dali Ancient City, Xizhou Ancient Town, Hai She Park), this is the best place to stay.

The location of Lijiang Jinmao Hyatt Hotel is excellent, with a pleasant surrounding environment and a park nearby, along with some local specialty snack shops. The hotel itself is also great. As soon as I entered, staff came over to help with my luggage. Bella at the front desk was patient and enthusiastic during check-in, diligently explaining all the hotel activities. Crucially, the hotel lobby design is very unique, situated right by the lake with views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The lobby's aromatherapy also smelled wonderful. There are shuttle buses to take guests to and from their rooms, and beautiful garden views can be enjoyed along the way. The room size is generous, making for a very comfortable stay, and the balcony view is also excellent. The facilities and amenities are comprehensive, and there are plenty of activities, ensuring a great experience. There are even small animals to interact with. Guests can also enjoy Yunnan Pu'er tea within the hotel. Staying here is truly delightful!

The biggest highlight of this trip was definitely this guesthouse! The location is unbeatable – tucked away in a quiet alley, offering peace and tranquility, yet just a pleasant 5-minute walk to the north gate of Shuhe, making it incredibly convenient for getting around by taxi. On the afternoon of my arrival, the sunlight streaming through the leaves into the glass house was absolutely breathtaking, truly a sight to behold. A white cat rubbed against me, and the guesthouse even puts peanuts on the outdoor tables, so if you're lucky, you might spot some sneaky squirrels. What I want to praise most are the staff. They added me on WeChat beforehand and recommended some great activities. Everyone seemed genuinely passionate about their work. They even gave me a tour of their meticulously cultivated herb garden, and the salads made with their freshly picked, home-grown vegetables truly lived up to their reputation. Since it's an old house, I didn't have high expectations for the room, but the bathroom was impressively clean, and the amenities were excellent. The only minor drawback is that the bathroom door doesn't seal perfectly, so after a long shower, a small puddle of water would form near the sink area. However, it didn't affect the bedroom area, and it was cleaned thoroughly every morning.
