Ah Fei the host contacted me weeks before I arrive and ensure I get picked up and my travel plans are arranged . The homestay is perfect for families couples and friends. Absolutely no mosquitos. We were served tea and Ah Fei patiently explained why tea is good for health. I cancelled my pre arranged trips cos Ah Fei had better and more value for money package. Just book a stay here and let him plan your trip. No need to worry. Even if you are thinking of Bao-Cher he can have it arranged for you . He even arranged for the best flower pastry to be delivered on the morning of my departure to ensure they are freshly baked. While I was planning for the trip , I was anxious about where the tour bus will pick us but this location is perfect - it is just a few steps from the north entrance - if u need to go for early morning trip and their breakfast is not ready there are plentiful eating stalls m, some open as early as 4 am .

Our stay at Shangri-La was truly unforgettable and exceeded all expectations! Before sharing details about our stay, we would like to give special recognition to several team members whose outstanding service made such a positive impact on our experience: 麦克, 小钢, Alan, 小罗, and 小雨. Each of them demonstrated exceptional professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. We are writing this review in large part because we hope management is aware of their incredible efforts, as they truly represent the very best of the hotel’s hospitality. Even before we arrived, the team created a WeChat group and warmly welcomed us, making us feel cared for from the very beginning. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Upon arrival, the staff helped carry our very heavy luggage to our room and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time at the hotel. After check-in, 麦克 gave us a detailed tour of the room and thoughtfully explained how to use the oxygen supply, which immediately put us at ease. He was also incredibly helpful in recommending places to visit and things to do in the area. His advice, including reminding us not to shower on our first night due to the high altitude, helped us acclimatize comfortably and avoid altitude-related discomfort. We also had the opportunity to make flower candles during our stay, which was a wonderful experience. A special thank you to 小钢, who patiently guided us through the activity and even carefully packed our finished candles so beautifully that all we had to do was pick them up and bring them home the next day. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful example of the attention to detail that made our stay so special. One of the highlights was the beautiful property and the adorable animals on-site. Alan even took the time to cut fresh carrots for us to feed the goats, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. The hospitality never stopped, no matter how late it was. We returned to the hotel around 11pm one evening after a long day of exploring, and 麦克 prepared comforting hot dessert soup for us (despite it being past the time for dessert soup). It was exactly what we needed and such a memorable gesture that made us feel truly cared for. Another moment that stood out was late one night when we realized we needed extra towels and pillows. 小罗 responded quickly and kindly helped us get everything we needed despite the late hour. His willingness to assist us so promptly made us feel incredibly well looked after and was yet another example of the outstanding service we experienced throughout our stay. We were also especially grateful to 小雨 for helping us navigate a Taobao return during our stay, which could have been quite complicated without her assistance. Several other staff members also kindly helped with collecting my package. Their teamwork and willingness to assist with something beyond the usual scope of hotel services truly impressed us. As our trip came to an end, Alan kindly drove us to the train station early in the morning and gave us a warm send-off. It was the perfect ending to an already wonderful stay and reflected the genuine care and hospitality we experienced throughout our time at the hotel. The warmth, attentiveness, and sincerity shown by every member of the team made our experience in Shangri-La truly wonderful. Every interaction reflected a level of hospitality that is increasingly rare to find, and their genuine care played a significant role in making this trip so memorable. We are incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-La. We will definitely be back!

I booked a taxi from the airport with Trip. The driver had to leave me at the entrance to the Night Market rather than to my hotel as he had no other choice. Took a while to work out where the hotel was as traders blocked the entrance. Fortunately and unexpectedly my data from Mongolia worked so I could use AMap and Google translate to get to the right place. Accessed through an entrance with 2 elephant statues. Easy to see in the daytime, tricky for first time at night. Each receptionist I met over the days were very helpful and friendly( via Google translate and WeChat). Lift to the room. Very lovely room with round bed and private bathroom. Very clean and comfie. Kettle and tea provided. Air con which I actually used, from the cold of Mongolia to the heat of Kunming. Reception area had seating so one could enjoy tea there (free) and meet others if one felt like it.

Had a really pleasant stay at YIYUN Hotel in Lijiang. The host was extremely helpful and spoke English very well, which made communication very easy throughout the stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the hotel’s architecture perfectly matched the vibes of Lijiang Ancient Town . Very aesthetic and authentic ! The location is also very convenient, right in front of the entrance to the old town. Although bags still need to be carried for a short distance because of the old town pathways, the hotel staff kindly helped us with the luggage which made everything smooth. Another plus point is that there are a few halal restaurants nearby, which was very convenient for us. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Lijiang!

The hotel was not perfect, but I still rated 5/5 mainly due to the staff's super helpfulness. I highly recommend communicating with the hotel via Wechat beforehand. Taxis cannot reach the hotel's front gate, so you should ask the hotel to provide you with the address where taxis can drop you off. For us, we asked the hotel to help us book a pickup service from the railway station (40 CNY). While on the train, I chatted with the driver via Wechat and asked him to wait for us at the exit. It was very worth it as we didn't have to struggle with finding taxis outside the train station. Also, since the hotel knew what time we arrived, they also came in time to pick us up from the taxi drop off point and helped us with our luggage. It's about 200 meters' walk from the hotel. The hotel's gate is called Reading is Boutique (see my photo). I would have never found it had I not booked the pick up service. What I like about the hotel's location is that although it's a bit far from the main attractions (400m from the main square and 800m from the water wheel), it's very quiet. If I had booked a hotel in the center of the old town, I'd have suffered from immense noise from the nightclubs there. The hotel owner / staff (I'm not sure who he was) was super kind and helpful. He didn't speak English so we mostly communicated via Wechat where I could use the built-in translation tool. He gave me all information I needed and responded to my questions very quickly. Their breakfast was tasty - a bowl of noodles with 2 eggs per person. I ate the same breakfast for 3 mornings and didn't even get bored. On the second floor, there's a balcony where you could sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the old town. Our room was located on the ground floor. To be honest, it's a bit outdated already. The bed was not very comfy, and there was no door between the sleeping area and the toilet (only a curtain). However, it was fair enough with such a good price. It seems there's only one lady who does all the cleaning and housekeeping. She prepared breakfasts for us and helped us clean the room. However, we found a half-open bag of food from one of the drawers in our bedside cabinet - perhaps from a previous guest. Not sure how long it has been there though. I think rooms need better cleaning. Overall, if I had to choose again, I would still stay at this hotel. I appreciate all the transparency in communication, the location, and the vibe of this hotel. Highly recommend it!

Spirited Silky Inn truly made our stay in Dali unforgettable. The hotel's design is beautiful and thoughtfully crafted, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. A special thank you to Xiao Hui and Xiao Deng, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. The hotel kindly provided vouchers for Hanfu costume experiences. While the complimentary package did not include makeup and photography, these services were available upon request, so I would recommend asking the staff if you're interested. We also want to thank Huan Huan and her team for taking such great care of our family during the photoshoot. The experience was enjoyable, professional, and completely free of any hard selling. As we were leaving for Kunming, Xiao Deng even helped us with our heavy luggage and surprised us with a thoughtful goodie bag filled with local treats from the hotel. Such gestures made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Thank you to the entire team at Spirited Silky Inn for the wonderful hospitality, excellent service, and great value. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali.

Kunming. A long name. A great location for a five-diamond hotel 😊 -----Definitely a great choice, given it's a Ctrip 5-diamond hotel. -----Four Points by Sheraton Kunming, City Center 🌈 👍1. Location. It's truly in the absolute center of Kunming. Downstairs is a pedestrian street, and the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway is right next door (within a 5-minute walk). It's a paradise for food and snacks, with several local internet-famous spots (like roasted pancake, braised dishes, and Qiaoxiangyuan Rice Noodles). ❤️2. Service. Their service, from the front desk to housekeeping, is excellent. We booked different room types this time, and they specially upgraded our rooms to ensure we were all on the same floor. Thank you! ☕3. Breakfast. The hotel's breakfast offers a good variety, generally meeting our needs. There's still room for improvement. 👏4. On the third morning, some of our family members had to catch a train, and the hotel specially packed breakfast for us and left it at the front desk. Five-star service! 🙏5. We left some old clothes in the room that we didn't want, and the hotel specifically came to confirm whether we had forgotten them or if we intended to discard them. Very conscientious and responsible! 👏 👌6. The lobby is a bit small. The guest rooms seem to be on floors 23-28, offering fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area. Truly excellent. 🤝Suggestion: The garment steamer provided releases steam very quickly once turned on, which could easily cause burns. I've already shared this feedback with the hotel. Summary: The price is a bit high during peak season, but it's a worthwhile choice during off-peak season. If I had to give a score, I'd give it a 90.

Sun and Gold Mountain Pasture Hotel Lijiang 📍 Right next to Baisha Ancient Town Just a 5-minute walk to the ancient town, and the inn offers a free shuttle service to Baisha Old City. The location is peaceful yet convenient, close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, making it easy to get anywhere. 🏡 The room is absolutely divine! Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows! Unobstructed views of the snow-capped mountains. You can lie in bed and wait for the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunshine' (sunlight hitting the snow-capped peak). No need to wake up early or fight for a spot, it's amazing! 😭 The hot tub also faces the snow mountain. Soaking in the tub while admiring the snowy peaks is the ultimate luxury. (The hot tub is huge, two people can easily fit with plenty of space left! [chuckle]) This is what a vacation should be. The whole room is smart-enabled and has a sound system. Every detail is perfect. The hotel even has its own 10-acre pasture, so you can take a leisurely stroll – super relaxing. 🍵 The butler service is incredibly thoughtful. Complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea are provided. For a two-night stay, airport pick-up and drop-off are included. You can just spend your time gazing at the mountains in peace and quiet, completely undisturbed. If you want to relax, unwind, and take beautiful photos in Lijiang, this is the place to go!

This hotel rather new. I'm impressed by the designer in utilising the limited footprint very well. Simple, nice and comfortable both at the lobby and room. We felt very welcomed since the day we checked in. Room is very clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. We rested very well after back from outings. The location is also great. Just a few minutes walk to a nearby lake 黑龙潭 (great place to have a stroll in the late afternoon before sunset). It is also very near to 丽江古城, a vibrant evening place where many tour agencies will bring the tour groups. Further down is a night market called 忠义夜市 which is vibrant in another way (FOOD). These are the place you should not miss if you are staying here. The lady owner is very capable and friendly. She makes you feel at home providing necessary assistance you need.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent. However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.
