Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Location is superb just 2-3mins walk to the main train station hakata station where you can easily accessible to around in Fukuoka.
Room is quite small consider most hotel rooms in Japan are small. We had breakfast at the hotel nice ambience but choice of varieties so so. You can consider your breakfast by going to the train station to eat as you can find many shops around in the station and shopping around for food, clothing, skincare and souvenirs are so convenient.

This is officially my favorite hotel ever! I finally got to redeem a voucher I'd been saving from a previous promotion, and it was also my first time staying at a luxury hotel in Japan. Being right next to Parco was incredibly convenient for serious shoppers like me. What's more, Tenjin Station is right downstairs, making subway travel incredibly easy. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the breathtaking window view was a huge bonus. I was pleasantly surprised by the three-fixture bathroom layout, and three sinks in the vanity area – amazing! They also offer a scenic afternoon tea starting at 2 PM; the treats were delicious and clearly not an afterthought. My only minor critiques are that the service was fairly standard, and the minibar was empty. However, these small issues don't overshadow the fantastic experience, and it's definitely a hotel to snag if you find a good price!

A taxi ride from Fukuoka Airport to the hotel takes about 15 minutes and costs around 2200 JPY, which is quite convenient. When checking out for your return trip to the airport, you can ask the front desk to arrange a taxi. They'll write the license plate number on a card for you, and the taxi will be waiting downstairs by the time you head down.
While it's a bit of a walk from Hakata Station (about 10 minutes), luckily we didn't encounter any rainy weather. However, walking that distance in the summer heat felt quite tiring.
The popular cafe 'Bread, Espresso &...' located downstairs has long queues in the morning, but you won't need to queue at all in the afternoon or evening. Canal City and Kushida Shrine are both within walking distance (you'll pass by the Full Full bakery on the way).
Regarding the tatami room, the tatami area is quite substantial and takes up a large portion of the space, but consequently, the bathroom and shower are quite small. It's highly recommended if you're traveling with children. However, if you don't have kids, I personally found the deluxe twin room I stayed in previously to be quieter and more spacious.
The hotel doesn't offer full room cleaning every day; on the second and third days of our stay, they only replaced toiletries and emptied the trash bins. This was acceptable to me, as the overall cleanliness remained good. If you require daily full cleaning, you can always inform the front desk.

After spending a week in Kyushu, I re-booked this hotel upon my return. This time, I opted for a different room type. The room was incredibly spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the station. I was finally satisfied, and thankfully, there were no unpleasant odors. 👌
Location of hotel is very good, Level 2 has a sheltered walkway linked to Kokura station. When exit from the door, turn right to take the route towards stadium, this is faster as it has a travellator. It’s less walking than walking towards Lawson and pass the anime building to the same kokura station entrance. From kokura, can access many malls such as Vierra, AMU plaza, Saintcity and etc. If the tower floor has discount, highly recommend to take it as the amenities are good and refilled each day of the stay. Free access to Tower library which is a quiet and cozy area to chill and enjoy the free drinks with a nice view. There are hot and iced coffee, tea, calpis, Minute Maid etc. Breakfast set menu for tower room only is good, had a special fish dish on the both days I went, service is top notch. Buffet spread at level 1 is good too, has many tasty selections. After the buffet, can even takeaway a cup of coffee from the entrance coffee machine.
The Watanabe-dori Itchome bus stop is right at the hotel's doorstep, and the subway station is just a couple of hundred meters away. Getting to the hotel from the train station is very convenient. Tenjin commercial district is less than 2km away on foot. The breakfast buffet was incredibly generous and tasted much better than those offered at four-star hotels in my home country. The rooms are over 20 square meters, which is significantly larger than similarly priced hotels in Japan. The only minor inconvenience was the bathroom; being a unit bathroom, the step up into it was quite high. Highly recommended!
I had a reservation mix up with a hotel I had originally booked to stay in, and so I hurriedly found Lyf with an empty room and booked it on my day of arrival at the hotel

Well located hotel with uncomfortably tiny, but clean room. Is it worth the price? 🤷🏻♀️
Fantastic location, and the service was excellent.
I didn't have any meal in the restaurant, but breakfast is always excellent, and the atmosphere and service are great.
Spotless room and bathroom. The lounge area is spacious and beautiful as well.
I highly recommend this hotel, and it's the one I always stay at when I'm in the Tenjin area. Highly recommended for a female solo stay as well.

Very classy and comfortable hotel. Building quality was excellent. The service is definitely a highlight and there was a concierge to help with your needs such as booking of restaurant if you do not speak Japanese. The hotel was built back in 1989 but it was so well maintained! Everything is classic. Parking is convenient as you only pay 1500 yen (in this central location right next to Hakata station) for two days one night. You can drive out before 2400 on the checkout day. Will come back when visiting Fukuoka next time!
Excellent service, location, cleanliness in the room, delicious breakfast. The only thing was, it was my birthday, but there were no amenities from the hotel. Perhaps it's not so easy here as in European five-star chain hotels, so it didn't spoil the impression.

WWAI MANStaff is nice and friendly!
Though it is not super close to the station but it's still a comparative convenient location to me.
There're also many good place to eat nearby, highly recommend REC coffee, breakfast is great!
Soundproofing is just so-so, the Korean family stayed next to us is so noisy and banged the door all the time..
GGuest UserI was randomly booking a place to stay for over 1 night in Fukuoka, urgently right that evening, due to my bus cancellation because of the weather. Even though it was a bit expensive due to the urgent reservation, I got a great experience here!!! The place is private and comfortable enough to heal after an exhausting snowy day, just returned from a long trip overseas on an overseas flight. There is almost everything you need, but even if there is a lack of anything, you can also easily buy it at the drug store or convenience stores around there (very close, only takes you around 3 minutes walking!!!). For meals, I didn’t experience breakfast or anything there. However, you can have various options since there are some shops, convenience stores, and local restaurants like Japanese branches (reasonable prices like Matsuya with 24/7 opening, for example)!!! Talking about convenience, the nearest subway stop is also very close to the accommodation, so you can have more options if you move to other places easily!!! Back to the place, one of my favorite things here is the smart-pod, which you can use to control the bed component in the shape you want (change it to sofa or bed-sofa)!! You can also set the alarm clock, and the bed will wake you up gently by using a gentle sound that automatically folds itself into a sofa (effectively waking you up and not disturbing others)!!! I love this place and I'm gonna be back this June!!
Highly recommend for you all!!

GGuest UserStaying on a high floor was wonderfully quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The location offers incredibly convenient transport links and is very close to the Tenjin shopping district, with all your shopping and dining needs within walking distance. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a trip to Fukuoka.
KK Hoffman (Canada)Ver easy to get to from Hakata Station. Take the Airport Metro Line to Ohori Park Station and go out via Exit 4. The hostel is round the corner on the side street after the variety store.
They send you an email on how to get into the building and your room if the reception is closed after 23:00. Just make sure you hit the UNLOCK button after the numbers.
Big lounge and kitchen on the fifth floor! Nice lounge on main floor for breakfast and bar.

AAlbina LiubitskaiaFirst and foremost, we chose this hotel because of the dinosaurs—of course! And it was absolutely amazing. We were two friends traveling together, and the room was spacious enough for us. We had a medium-sized suitcase and a duffel bag, and we managed to store everything comfortably.
In the hotel lobby, we picked up robes and all the necessary toiletries, which was very convenient. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We'd read that one of Fukuoka’s local delicacies is Mentaiko (spicy cod roe), but we hadn’t had a chance to try it at any cafes—so getting to taste it at breakfast was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you for that!
The location of the hotel is great—close to pedestrian-friendly streets, the sea, and not far from the central park. There’s even a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you directly to the park.
The window in our room opened, so we could get some fresh air, and it was very quiet at night. Just next door is the original Ichiran—the birthplace of Futaba Ramen. The lines can be long, but it's definitely worth visiting. We went at 7 a.m. and there was no queue at all.
