We had a great stay at this hotel. The check in process was smooth, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were polite, professional, always ready to help and the location was very convenient. Highly recommended.

I usually don't leave reviews, but for this place, I have to speak up.
1. The first room they gave me looked exactly like the pictures, but the radiator wasn't working. After a long discussion, they moved me to another room, which was about a third smaller than what I originally booked.
2. The paint smell in the room was overpoweringly strong.
3. The bathroom in the second room had a huge pillar right in it – quite something.
Seriously, try to avoid this hotel if you can.

This is a chain-operated youth hostel with various room types available. The facilities are basic; apart from towels, nothing else is provided. The breakfast is simple for 11 Euros, with no hot options besides coffee. The pipes in the room were noisy all day. It's not far from the train station, and there are plenty of dining options nearby.

Right across from the train station, it feels very safe. Once you check in and drop off your luggage, it's unlikely you'll get robbed. There were a lot of Koreans though, so at first glance, it looked like a sea of Asian faces. The breakfast was quite good, and while the room was a bit old, a really patient Caucasian staff member helped us store our bags. A Black guy helped us retrieve them later, and he had a rather poker face. What's up, bro!

This hotel near Venezia Mestre station (5-6 min walk) is a fantastic find. The rooms are super clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and strong heating. The staff are friendly and provide free luggage storage. While the design is basic, the thoughtful amenities (the shower room has a handy chair for your clothes, and single-use cups are provided) make it very practical. Don't miss the Chinese food on the street behind it—'Panda Fly' comes highly recommended!
The hotel is not far away from the train station, which is a plus. However, there is no electrical kettle in the room. This is very inconvenient! We could not even get a loaner! My husband was quite dissatisfied with the shower water. When he reported to the receptionist, he was told that they were aware of the issue.

Great stay! 🙌🏻 The check-in was smooth and quick, ✅ breakfast was rich and delicious 🥐, and the hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful🛎️. I would happily stay here again!
It's a good location to go to Venice. I stayed here while looking for a place with free parking.
The best thing about this place is the rich breakfast.
The room condition is recommended for short stays or when you have little luggage.
The location is good because it's a 10-15 minute walk from the train station to the main island of Venice. There's a large mart nearby, so it's convenient. The staff and staff are friendly.
Great service! The breakfast was really good, and at 9 euros per person, it was quite substantial. The front desk upgraded us to a room with a king-size bed and a twin bed. Since it was winter and raining, it was lovely to walk into a room with the air conditioning already making it toasty warm. The bathroom was also large and very comfortable.
Very Good

Great
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.

GGuest UserThe hotel location is excellent. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the train and bus stations that go to Venice and the airport. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and clean, and reception service was okay. But one thing really annoyed me: I don’t understand why a 4-star hotel doesn’t provide a kettle in the room. I drink tea, and there was only a coffee machine available. The reception told me to get hot water from the bar, which is fine, but the hot water looked dirty and didn’t seem clean. Also, the curtains never fully closed, there was always a gap, so it didn’t feel fully private.
GGuest UserI received a message from the store in advance, explaining the route in detail. Take bus No. 2 from the train station and get off at the stop before the Riya Tow Bridge. After getting off the bus, follow the instructions and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. Go to the second floor to complete the check-in formalities and then work. Staff took 10 minutes to walk to the apartment. Our room is on the second floor, with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and a washing machine. The apartment is not in a busy area and is very quiet. It's a few minutes' walk to the river, very convenient. There is a market by the river in the morning where you can buy ingredients, and the seafood is fresh and cheap. Although prices are high in Venice, it is very cheap to buy water and food from supermarkets and markets.
GGuest UserThe room was great, and the hotel staff (the lady at the front desk) was incredibly helpful! My password-protected lock suddenly broke, and I was panicking. I went to the front desk, and she immediately came with pliers and helped me pry it open. She was amazing!
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
PPranav Patil PHu Venezia Camping Hotel – A Practical & Surprising Base for Venice
My grate stay at the Hu Venezia Camping Hotel. It offers incredible value and fantastic facilities, making it a great choice for travelers on a budget.
The Accommodation: Think of the rooms as clean, modern wooden cabins. They are compact and very basic – essentially a ”wooden box” as described, but they have the essential: a comfortable bed, a roof, and a powerful air conditioner. The cleaning is provided once a week, which is perfect for longer stays.
The Resort & USP: The Amazing Pool Complex This is where the hotel truly shines. The property is massive and feels like a resort. The centrepiece is the huge, fantastic swimming pool, which is easily the hotel's Unique Selling Point (USP). It’s a major plus for families, as there's a dedicated area for children, and for adults looking to cool off and relax after a long day of sightseeing in crowded Venice.
The overall atmosphere and interior landscaping of the hotel are really beautiful. It's green, well-maintained, and has a great vibe that makes you forget you're just outside a major city.
Food & Drink There is an on-site restaurant where you can buy affordable meals, snacks, and drinks. A key point to note: there is no room service. The practical approach is to grab your food and take it back to enjoy on your patio or in your room. Also, be aware that coffee sachets are not provided in the room. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend bringing your own or buying some at the reception/restaurant.
Location & Connectivity The location is practical for accessing Venice without paying premium prices.
· Shuttle Service: The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle bus to Tronchetto (the gateway to Venice's water transport) every 30 minutes for a reasonable €5 return trip.
· Walking to Venice Mestre: A major discovery was that the Venezia Mestre train station is absolutely within walking distance (about 1.9km or 20-25 minutes). The walk is very safe, even early in the morning (we walked at 5 AM without any issues). This is a huge money-saver for getting trains to Venice Santa Lucia or other cities.
Overall, the Hu Venezia Camping Hotel offers outstanding value for money. Get access to a fantastic resort-style pool and easy connections to Venice.

RRock geThe room is quite small, so it's not ideal for those with many activities planned. The best part is its location right next to the water taxi pier, which is very convenient. There's a small restaurant by the pier, but no other facilities or convenience stores on the island. You can only buy drinks and snacks at the hotel's bar. Strangely, Uber taxis can't stop directly at the hotel entrance; you have to walk about 10 to 15 minutes to catch one, which is quite unreasonable. The hotel doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to refill your own at the water dispenser. Breakfast was just average, but it filled you up.
