Family Hotels in Guizhou, China

During the Qingming Festival, I took my parents out for a trip and checked in at the Longtang Mountain House, which I had been interested in for a long time. The hotel is hidden in the mountains. Going up the rugged mountain road, passing by the traditional Chinese village Longtang Village, and then going up the mountain for a while, you can see a group of hotels built on the top of a mountain, which is very ”secluded”. Because it keeps a certain distance from the ancient village and is outside the style coordination area, the style of the hotel and the traditional village are not affected by each other. The hotel lobby and restaurant are also the best areas for bird's-eye view of the Miao village and terraced fields. The hotel itself is also a poverty alleviation project, and staying here is also very meaningful. The exterior design of the hotel echoes the architectural form of the stilt house. The roof is completely made of tile roofs and traditional masonry methods. The interior uses height differences to form two functional spaces, bedrooms and living rooms, forming a contrast between virtual and real. Each house has a natural landscape facing it, and they do not interfere with each other. The hotel's service is also thoughtful, with rich breakfasts and supper arrangements. I especially like the activities of visiting the Longtang Ancient Village and doing batik in the intangible cultural heritage experience hall transformed from a pigpen. I am very happy. The only drawback is that you have to walk up and down a flight of stone stairs to reach the hotel rooms, which is a good experience for young and middle-aged people, but is definitely not friendly enough for the elderly.

What a great experience at this hotel. The room set up, perks offered (costume rental, cocktail and dying handcraft) are all carefully thought through to ensure patrons have a wonderful Miao holiday experience. The location is superb to view the valley. I enjoyed soaking in the balcony bathtub whilst enjoying the day and night views of the valley. The staffs are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the place and I will definitely be back.

As a tourist, I must say the location is absolutely superb, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. There are plenty of fantastic dining and entertainment options nearby. The facilities, however, are quite dated. The decor feels old-fashioned; surprisingly, there was even a red velvet sofa which really emphasized the vintage vibe. Room cleanliness was generally decent, with no noticeable water stains on the faucet fixtures. However, I did encounter an issue with the linens. Upon unfolding a bath towel, I found a clump of hair inside (not sure what kind). This specific towel also felt noticeably different to the touch compared to the other clean ones, which was concerning. On the positive side, the front desk service was excellent, and check-in was very fast.

The hotel service is excellent, very attentive, friendly and always with a small. The quality of the amenities are very high quality. The location is in the middle of the town and easy to walk around.  The room is very big. The night show is very good with high quality. Even better than the show we pay. The only minor thing is the singing in nearby pub. They put the amplifier outside the pub and sang till after 11 pm which is very disturbing. This happened to most of the pub. The village manager should stop them.

It happened to be snowing here when I came here, and the hot spring hotel is so beautiful. The price/performance ratio of this place is really good, because it has only been open for half a year, and the promotion here is not enough. So I am really satisfied with coming here now. The hot springs are very slippery and not cold at all. As for the hardware facilities here, they are okay since they are newly opened. There is a little story, that is, when I went to a restaurant to eat, after finishing the meal, the waiter would ask me how my meal was, and then gave me a fruit plate. These little details are very nice, and I will I feel very touched, the service is very good.

A truly satisfying experience! The guesthouse is conveniently located near the drop-off/pick-up point at Bridge No. 1, making transportation very easy. A short walk uphill from the guesthouse leads to ”Pigsty Coffee” and ”Cow Shed Campsite,” where we enjoyed a very chill time sipping coffee and unwinding. We stayed in a scenic view room, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Miao village and its terraced fields. We could capture beautiful photos right from our room without needing to step outside. Complimentary batik dyeing and Miao costume experiences were also provided. We tried both and they were fantastic! And finally, the highlight of our stay! Huanhuan, the guesthouse's host, met us as soon as we arrived in the Miao village and even helped us with our luggage all the way. She provided the same excellent service when we left. While transferring between vehicles can be a bit of a hassle, and there's a long walk from the drop-off point to the ticket gate, Huanhuan's assistance made our arrival and departure completely stress-free.

The service on the hotel provided is superb excellent, I would like to specially thanks to ”Yang Yang” as she helped me a lot on my needs and enquiries. The breakfast, teatime refreshment and night dessert are nice too, especially for the night dessert, its warmth my heart and stomach after long day trip back to hotel at night. The hotel is very new, clean and well equipped too! I'm happy with the stay here and highly recommend on this hotel when you travel to Kaili.

Nestled within the Longgong Scenic Area, this guesthouse offers a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. It was very convenient to reach by car, with clear signposts throughout and dedicated parking right at the entrance. Staff were already waiting and warmly assisted us with our luggage to the front desk for check-in, creating a truly welcoming, 'home away from home' feeling. We opted for the 'Courtyard King Room,' a charming detached villa featuring its own private courtyard. The room was fully equipped with all amenities, and the bathroom boasted a separate wet and dry area, along with a bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak in the evening to unwind after a day of exploration. The guesthouse's common areas include a swimming pool, ideal for children to enjoy during the summer months. The dining area is conveniently located just a short walk from the parking lot, and the chef's culinary skills are truly outstanding! We ordered several stir-fried dishes – including tomato and scrambled eggs, minced pork with eggplant, twice-cooked pork, and cold preserved eggs – and we thoroughly cleaned our plates! The owner's dog, Maodou, is incredibly cute and well-behaved. We spent ages cuddling him and really didn't want to let go! We hope to visit again and see him.

There are two resort hotels in Qingyan Ancient Town, one is Holiday Inn and the other is Holiday Inn Express. When traveling, I always give priority to Holiday Inn, after all, the quality is there. I have stayed in Holiday Inn and Express in other cities, and generally there is only Express in second-tier cities. This time I stayed in Holiday Inn, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel environment and service quality still meet the Holiday Inn standards, including the parking lot downstairs, which is still relatively bright. However, the shortcomings are also obvious. 1. The room is very small, and the bathroom is also very small. The size of the room is about the same level as the Holiday Inn Express I stayed in before (the supporting balcony occupies too much area). In the bathroom, two people can't turn around at all. One person blows his hair, and the other person has a narrow path to pass! 2. The shower water is super small! ! Originally in Xijiang Hotel, the water was big and not too hot. I wanted to stay in Holiday Inn to take a good shower and relax. The bath water is really unimaginable, and it is comparable to a solar water heater. 3. The breakfast is not good. One feature of Holiday Inn is that there will be one or more local delicacies for breakfast. Qingyan Holiday, breakfast is marked as ”Ciba Porridge (I think this is the name)”, but I asked the restaurant staff and they confirmed that there is no such thing! After walking around, the dishes are also available, but there are only a few varieties, which are slightly better than the Express. The price is 100+, which is actually not worth it. If I come to Qingyan next time, I may stay at the Express. The price difference of 400 is obviously not much improvement.

The hotel location is great . Just minutues away from the Bus station to take us to Anshun waterfall site, where we spend a great day. However, I had feedback to the hotel that the hotel should at least have a power socket adaptor for International travellers . My laptop which had a UK power cord cannot be plugged into any socket to charge my laptop ! It is not a hotel for the local , but an international hotel .
