This is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

Hygiene: We booked a family room that can accommodate four people, perfect for families with two children. The room was clean. Facilities: There's a good range of dining and entertainment options, and you can even get up close with sika deer. We were pleasantly surprised to find Pingjie Hotpot here. Environment: The room offers a direct view of the mountains, with fresh air and a top-notch environment. Service: We checked in at 10 PM. The front desk service was good; there was a minor hiccup, but it was quickly resolved. Nanshan Afternoon Tea: You can enjoy 'big bowl tea' and snacks in the lobby of Building C. Single Coffee: Our room came with two complimentary coffees, which can be picked up on the first floor of Building D. Children's Souvenir (dolls, etc.): Small dolls were provided for the children. A minor drawback was that the bag they came in had a bit of an unpleasant smell, which could be improved.

Traveling solo, I chose The Landy Hotel, and it perfectly matched my aesthetic. The overall design features a simple, natural wood style with no excessive decoration. The room layout felt relaxed and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling window framed the garden view like a painting. The outdoor garden is meticulously maintained, with plants thoughtfully arranged and winding paths that make for a wonderfully quiet stroll, far from the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and tidy, the amenities felt high-quality, and the staff were very friendly. I felt incredibly peaceful staying here all day – it’s a great place to unwind and recharge alone. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Aranya.

My stay at Ximei Wuzhou Hotel was such a delightful surprise and incredibly rejuvenating! The attention to detail in their service was absolutely top-notch, I just have to rave about it! The room was beautifully adorned with fresh flowers, which really set a wonderful ambiance. But the most heartwarming touch was the lovely little elephant crafted from towels by the housekeeping staff – it was so cute and had such a sweet meaning. This truly felt like genuine, thoughtful service. I'll definitely choose Ximei Wuzhou for my next visit and will be recommending it to all my friends! 👍

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

Environment: The room's balcony faces the Thaiwoo ski slopes, and waking up to that view every day is incredibly therapeutic. The hotel is only a 2-3 minute walk from the ski rental hall, which is quite convenient for ski enthusiasts. However, it would be even better if there was an internal passage leading directly there. Cleanliness: This is a pet-friendly hotel, yet the cleanliness was still excellent. There were no strange odors, and everything was spotless, with the exception of slightly low water pressure in the shower. Service: The service was exceptional. The front desk staff were always accommodating and went above and beyond to help with any requests. When checking in, guests receive complimentary movie or hot spring tickets, and the front desk is happy to assist with reservations. Facilities: The hotel has a few on-site restaurants, which are perfect if the weather is too cold to venture out – they meet all basic needs. Personally, I think it would be even more convenient if the hotel had its own hot springs or more public facilities in the lobby.

During the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

Returned to Thaiwoo Hyatt Place for another ski vacation, and it was fantastic! The stay-and-ski package is incredibly convenient. You can pick up your ski pass and activate your benefits directly at the front desk when checking in, no extra queues or hassle, which is super friendly for skiers. The hotel's location is excellent; the ski rental hall is right across the street, making ski-in/ski-out incredibly effortless. The room was clean, tidy, and well soundproofed, with ample heating, so it was very comfortable to relax in after skiing. The breakfast selection was rich, and the service was warm and attentive!

I timed it once, and it took only 5 minutes to sink my feet into the soft sand . No long drives or shuttle waits—perfect for spontaneous morning dips or evening sunset strolls. The sea view experience is exactly what you’d hope for. Every room comes with a large viewing balcony , and the east-facing orientation means unobstructed sunrise views. Waking up, pulling back the curtains, and watching the sun paint the Bohai Sea pink while still in bed? Pure magic. At night, the sound of waves becomes a natural lullaby—total relaxation. The hotel’s little perks add up too. They offer free bicycle rentals, which let me cruise along the coastline and soak in the sea breeze . Pet owners will love that it’s pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind. There’s also free private parking , a big plus if you’re driving. The Chinese-style buffet breakfast (served 7:00-10:00 ) hits the spot, and kids under 1.2m eat free—great for families. The only minor downside is the decor, which feels a bit outdated , but it’s easily overlooked for the value. The rooms are clean, with essential amenities like cable TV, showers, slippers, and toiletries , so comfort isn’t compromised. For a 100+ yuan price point , Giranchy Sea View Hotel delivers far more than expected. If you’re after convenience, stunning sunrises, and a laid-back coastal vibe in Qinhuangdao, this is a no-brainer. I’d absolutely book again!
