XinbuzaiyanyaThis is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

Chongli is absolutely perfect for a summer escape! Even though rain was forecast, we managed to avoid it almost entirely, making for a perfectly smooth trip. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the facilities were comprehensive. If you're looking to just relax, you basically don't need to leave the building for any of your daily needs. There's a park downstairs where you can feed deer, which is a great way to keep the kids entertained and free up the parents. The shuttle bus stop is right at the hotel entrance, so you can usually hop on as soon as you step out. The recreational facilities in the town are also great; the cable car and the views from the mountaintop were much better than I expected.

This time I came during the start of the seafood season, but it wasn't peak season yet, so there were far fewer people. The lower floors were cheaper, while the higher-floor sea view rooms were more expensive. Standard rooms were affordable, but those with family-friendly tents or designs cost more. Currently, the first and second canteens are not open, but they will be during peak season. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the beach. Inside the resort, there are individually-owned electric vehicles available for one, two, three, or four people, with different models. The price is a bit high at 69 yuan per hour. However, these are not affiliated with the hotel, so if there are any issues or disputes, the hotel will not intervene. The hotel's front desk and housekeeping staff were very professional; they immediately provided room service even when called late at night. Many thanks!

MuzisanshengTraveling solo, I chose The Landy Hotel, and it perfectly matched my aesthetic. The overall design features a simple, natural wood style with no excessive decoration. The room layout felt relaxed and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling window framed the garden view like a painting. The outdoor garden is meticulously maintained, with plants thoughtfully arranged and winding paths that make for a wonderfully quiet stroll, far from the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and tidy, the amenities felt high-quality, and the staff were very friendly. I felt incredibly peaceful staying here all day – it’s a great place to unwind and recharge alone. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Aranya.

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

Guest UserHuge shoutout and a perfect score for Manager Qin! Our summer getaway to Thaiwoo was completely stress-free and delightful, all thanks to her. Whether it was changing room types, asking about cable car, hot spring, or hiking routes, or even minor issues during check-in, Manager Qin was always there to patiently coordinate and resolve things immediately. She's incredibly kind and gentle, very organized, empathetic, and always puts guests first. Under her dedicated management, all the staff are warm and enthusiastic, the rooms are spotless, and the complimentary activity tickets offer amazing value. Having such a responsible manager truly elevated our travel experience. Next time we're in Chongli, we're definitely choosing this hotel again, specifically because of Manager Qin!

During the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

PangyangmamaPros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a variety of restaurants right outside the back door. During my stay, I enjoyed Korean BBQ, regular BBQ, hot pot, and iron pot stew – all delicious! The only minor downsides were the limited vegetable selection and prices being a bit higher than Beijing, but that's typical for mountain areas. The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive: air conditioning, hot water, and soundproofing were all perfect. The pool, gym, and reading room were great spots to pass the time on rainy days. The pool has separate sections for adults and children, and the water isn't too deep. If you go, make sure to bring all your gear!
Cons: The breakfast menu remained largely the same for the entire week. The Western options were decent, but the Chinese breakfast was too monotonous. Lunch and dinner were essentially just rebranded breakfast items. Laundry requires purchasing tokens at the front desk, and washing and drying are charged separately at 50 yuan each.
Suggestions: Without significantly increasing costs, the menu could definitely be diversified. Given the number of seniors with children staying at the hotel, easy-to-store and transport vegetables like bean sprouts, shredded potatoes, tofu, and tomato with egg could be rotated more often. The sauces for noodles and the porridge options could also be varied. Please, please don't serve the fruits and drinks so cold – my stomach can't handle it!

Guest UserFor a hotel of this caliber, I'd say it's pretty good. The location is excellent, right next to the beach. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was prompt. Zhao Ying at the front desk was very helpful, answering all my questions patiently and thoroughly.
However, there were quite a few issues with the details:
When we booked the table tennis club, we assumed it was part of the hotel's facilities. To our surprise, after the 'person in charge' arrived, they asked us to switch to another table with noticeable damage. That wouldn't have been a big deal, but then the 'person in charge' and three teammates started playing on the table we had just vacated. My family then started using a robot practice machine, but we were stopped and told that we had only rented one table. With just one minute left on our time slot, we were 'precisely' reminded that our time was up. To keep my family happy, I didn't say anything, but I have to wonder: if both tables were the same, why were we made to switch? And if they weren't the same, why wasn't the price different? This is the first time I've encountered such a situation at a hotel, and I'm not even sure if this is under hotel management's purview.
The overall room hygiene was acceptable, but there was always a urine smell in the toilet cubicle. The hot spring pool in the small courtyard was full of fallen leaves, clearly not cleaned for a long time. The door to the courtyard was warped, making it difficult to open and close, and the sensor light kept turning on by itself, so we had to block it.
There are many steps throughout the hotel, and some of them lack accessible ramps. Even where ramps exist, they are so steep that they wouldn't be practical for people with disabilities.
I hope the hotel can improve on these points and continue to get better.
