5-Star Hotels in Alajuela, Costa Rica

Very nice and beautiful hotel, built with high-quality materials and a great design. However, my biggest disappointment was that a 5-star hotel did not provide complimentary water in the room, instead selling it for $4.50 per bottle. This is especially surprising in Costa Rica, considering that the room costs over $1000 per night. It feels quite disappointing and even greedy that they are unwilling to meet basic international standards of service. In my opinion, the management should take inspiration from hotels in Asia and the Middle East, where guest service is often much more thoughtful and complete. I felt that instead of providing small essentials as part of the service, they were trying to charge extra for everything, which negatively affected the overall experience.

Absolutely loved this place. The grounds were beautiful and you felt like you were really in the middle of the jungle, but with all your creature comforts. Breakfast each morning was great, with a good choice of local and western options. Would definitely stay again.

Booked a rainforest room, you can hear the chirping of insects and birds outside the terrace at night, natural white noise to help you sleep. The hot spring is great, free to stay, and you can pay to enter if you don't stay. The hot spring is natural and very large, I personally feel it is the size of several rivers.

They were very strict about having a person added to the room and there was a dead frog in one of the hot tubs late at night- but it was afterhours lol. It is a natural hot spring and I am not really a nature-nature person. My friends didn't care as it is surrounded by the rainforest. Overall, I loved it and would consider coming back for a romantic weekend with my husband. More for couples or relaxing than a party group.

It is not bad, such as the room is large, the restaurant is delicious, and the location is convenient. Mini bar is free. Disadvantages: The hotel is very big and it is all up and down, it is really tired. The swimming pool is super crowded and the atmosphere is not too casual. And this hotel has no hot springs, I want to go to a special hotel to wash hot springs.
