The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.

Shangri-La Hotel, Lhasa

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

Drepung Monastery/Jinzhu West Road
I have stayed at Phuntsok Youth Hostel by bicycle more than ten years ago, and I have also stayed in Phuntsok in different areas. It is certain that the service is good. He also understands the hearts of travelers very well. He has been coming here every year for more than ten years. I come to Lhasa several times a year, and I always stay in Phuntsok. I ask myself whether I like Lhasa or Phuntsok.

Hotels in Songzan Basong Tsorinka

It has been a long time since I stayed in such a favorite hotel. I just regretted staying for only one night. The moment I entered Songtsen, all the fatigue and discomfort during the journey were swept away. The hardware and software are good. There is an oxygen concentrator in the room and the scenery is pleasant. There is a lake in the hotel, and there are various activities to experience. There is also an Arc'teryx. The hotel's own boutique is also good. There are various souvenirs suitable for giving, as well as yak wool scarves, clothing, etc., which are all very exquisite. Breakfast and dinner are solved in the hotel, and the taste and price are good. Songtsen is really the biggest surprise of this trip to Tibet.
Hilton Shigatse
4.6/5880 Reviews
After driving for more than 900 km, I arrived in Shigatse and checked into Hilton again. My luggage was so much and messy, and the hotel staff kept waiting for me to pack and move it to the room. The hotel's breakfast has always been great, I especially like the beef noodles, which are very filling. The restaurant has moved from the original 7th floor to downstairs, which is much more spacious and brighter!

City Hall and Surroundings
Great hotel, large room (was upgraded for free to Suite), clean. Marshal at reception was friendly and attentive. Large variety at breakfast, although the western options are still slightly limited. Would be nice to have greek yoghurt and more cereal choices. Chinese options are great. Joy (waitress at breakfast) was very good and deserves a mention!
Songtsam Lhasa Linka

Princess Wencheng Live Theater
I brought my children to Lhasa and chose to stay in Songtsam ******* Cultural Hotel. The service experience from check-in to check-out exceeded that of some domestic five-star hotels. I stayed in a twin room with a balcony on the third floor of a three-story ******* building. I could see part of the Potala Palace. The bedroom was equipped with an oxygen diffuser and the washlet in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. I moved to St. Regis a few days later and there was no such condition. The whole hotel is full of strong ******* culture. The service staff are all handsome and beautiful ******* girls and boys, and they are all very polite. You can see the night view of the Potala Palace when dining on the outdoor platform of the Chinese restaurant. The stone pot matsutake chicken soup and yak hot pot are also very delicious. I moved to St. Regis after 2 nights because I sprained my foot and had difficulty walking when I went to the Potala Palace. In comparison, the service gap is huge. As a Marriott member, St. Regis Tibet should be the Marriott hotel with the worst service in the country. There is no harm without comparison. The only drawback of Songtsam Hotel is that there is no stone slab for sitting bath in the shower room. After all, this is a plateau and some guests may feel more comfortable sitting down to take a shower. I have become a Songtsam member this time and will continue to stay here to experience the culture of Songtsam Hotel next time. I came to Tibet 20 years ago and have been longing to return to Lhasa and Namtso. I wish the ******* people a better life!
林芝貢布花園酒店

Nyingchi Downtown Area
The room was very clean and the service was very good, especially yesterday night I was not familiar with Nyingchi. I repeatedly called the front desk. The Tibetan waiter Awang Lazhen explained very thoughtfully, very patiently and liked it. Breakfast is also good, you can also drink tea on the balcony, and the scenery is not bad. Very satisfied.
