Guest UserThe location is very near to main station. Twin sharing room with friend was a bliss as both of us have our own tv, like our own private resting place. The only thing need to highlight is the signage to locate our room number. We couldn’t find our room (which is at one of the corner) at the beginning as it is not within the range of the signage. Overall room stay is okay.

Irene 887So far so good, room was comfy enough. Good area, walk just 3minutes away from shillin night market and 6minutes to metro station. The problem is there is no elevator to our room, meanwhile we got 3 big luggages 😕
Please mention if no elevator access to the room, thanks

Guest UserI had a fantastic stay this time around! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and my room was spotless, bright, and well-equipped. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they were quick to help whenever I had a question or an issue. The location was super convenient, with plenty of amenities nearby. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. Overall, the quality of my stay exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance, and I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family!

Guest UserOverall is acceptable.
Good location, there are shops and restaurants nearby, is convenient to go attractive places.
The only thing is the hotel is old, seems like lack of maintenance and upgrades.

I stayed at Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station primarily for its excellent location. It's only a few minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or taking trains to other destinations.
The room itself was reasonably clean and comfortable, but the hallways and common areas were a different story. They looked quite worn, with stained carpets and an unpleasant smell, which left a poor first impression.
The hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors of a commercial building. One concern I had was that the elevators are shared with the rest of the building and are not restricted to hotel guests, so security didn't feel as reassuring as it could be.
The staff were generally helpful whenever assistance was needed, although they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, having complimentary washers and dryers on the same floor was very convenient for travelers.
Overall, this hotel is a practical choice if your priority is location and value, but improvements to the common areas and guest security would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Overall, it was a good stay, but there are a few drawbacks to consider:
1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression.
2. The check-in time was a bit odd.

ShuxiaThe location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Joe Nathanael ChowA Scenic Stay with a Convenient Catch
My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment.
Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of.
The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic.
Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility.
On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch.
The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future.
Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.

Guest UserThis is a very convenient location with plenty of food and entertainment options nearby. The young men and women at the front desk were incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and attentive. They helped us plan our itinerary and transportation for our trip to Hualien Yilan, and also shared recommendations for delicious food and fun activities there. The room was also quite neat and clean, overall everything was excellent. Definitely recommend!

amar07A very good option overall, especially for budget travelers. I would rate the hotel 5 out of 5 for cleanliness, location, and service.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms and common areas were tidy and comfortable, which makes a big difference when you are staying at a budget property.
The location is excellent. It is situated very close to a metro station, which makes getting around Taipei very convenient. For travelers planning to explore the city using public transport, the location works very well.
Service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
In terms of amenities, travelers should manage expectations. The hotel provides the basics but not everything you might find in a full-service hotel. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries as only minimal items are provided in the room.
Breakfast is simple and delivered as a packed option, typically something like a sandwich or a burger-style item. It is basic but perfectly adequate. One nice touch is that the hotel offers free coffee throughout the day from a coffee machine and complimentary snacks such as chips and crackers at the reception area. They also provide bottled water upon request.
Overall, this is not a luxury or fancy hotel, but for budget travelers it is a very practical and comfortable choice. If you are looking for an affordable place that is clean, well located, and run by friendly staff, Tai Hope Hotel is a solid option.
