The best part of this hotel is the location itself. It's infront the Taipei Main Station, so its easy to ride the subway and airport MRT. The check in is at 4PM Taiwan time. It's inside the building in the 7th floor. There is a family mart downstairs and has many restaurants and Mcdonalds nearby. The room we had doesn't have window. I don't like the yellow lights in the room and the toilet seems dark. They didn't clean the room when we requested to make up room. We also used their laundry room but the dryer didn't dried our clothes eventhough we dried it so many times. It's a budget hotel so don't expect too much. It's only good for sleeping since we will just out whole day in exploring Taipei.

If check-in process becomes fully automated, the personal touch for service will deem to be as cold as a robot, and may spoilt the mood for traveller whenever we wish to ask questions about travel activities. Next, after office hours, the shutter roller of the front counter is closed, hence there will be no access to water dispenser. Maybe hotel should consider to install a water dispenser for stayers to refill water, etc

The room was clean and well maintained. They have a high tech toilet with cleaning function. It was near the Taipei main station, which is convenient. Sound proofing wise it was okay, as my room is deep inside and my neighbours were generally okay. You can easily hear other people in the corridors outside or if you have inconsiderate neighbours.

It is a very nice little hotel and good location with easy walk to MRT. Hotel is very clean and has everything a traveller needs. Price is excellent. It is much better than I expected. Breakfast could be better. It is take out food and it is cold. We will definitely be back next time when we are in Taipei!

We spent a comfortable 5 nights in this hotel. Rooms are a nice size, warmly furnished and comfortable double bed! Bathroom is spacious with separate bathtub and shower. No meal options but many food places or convenience stores very near. A nice thing was the water dispenser and a coffee machine for guests downstairs.

I think this hostel is good backpacker, good value, good location, but you might need that extra luck to make it a comfortable stay. I stayed in this hostel for two times, one in November 2024, and this time in February 2025. The last one was a good one, very good value for money, so I decided to stay in this hostel again, which turned out to be a less enjoyable one.  During my second stay, there are roommates who turned off the Air-conditioner and close the windows. I tried to turn on the air conditioner, and the roommate turned it off afterwards, and because I got problem inhaling fresh air so I woke up in the night and turned the AC back on, the roommate turned it off again… so this situation repeated for 3 times. I gave up and go to bed anyway, trying to avoid potential conflict. I reported to the hostel and requested for a change of room, but there were no room available for change, the hostel replied they will talk to the roommate and put a note to settle the situation. I ended up leaving the hostel that day and moved to another proper hotel, hotel papa whale. I originally paid for 3 nights in Meander Taipei, but I only spent one night and didn’t want to experience another night switching on and off for the air con.  I also stayed in Meander 1948 in 2025 January, it was a very comfortable stay and the Air Conditioner was always on. I hope there will be some sort of arrangement to settle, not just leaving the roommates to decide whether to turn on or off by personal choice, as there are 4 people in one room, it gotta be different opinions. I understand the price is cheap, but there is also a reason, and this time I just happened to experience.

It is the first time we are staying at CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II and it is conveniently located nearby the Taipei Main Station and Bus Station. On the first day when check in, we receive warm and genuine greetings from the service staff stationed at the reception counter. My friends and I were impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff (led by Lilian and her team mates Nancy and Aria) who provided as a insightful introduction to the premises and amenities available in the hotel. They helped to look after our luggage before the check in timing at 3pm and recommended us to some of the popular food spots around the vicinity. Afterwhich, we collected the room cards from them timely at check in counter without any delay. The room was sparkling clean and room amenities were all avaliable for us. There were also a self service pantry area where you can choose your drinks (coffee or tea and water dispenser) and light snacks such as biscuits and bowl noodles (after 10pm) were provided free of charge. Kitchen utensils as well as Freezer, Microwave and Oven were also made available for in house guest to use 24/7. We were also delighted to know that there is a on-site laundry room where we can wash our laundry which is especially user friendly and helpful as we were on a long trip with soiled clothings. They even provided both the washing machines and dryers as well as the detergent powder. It was so convenient and homely for our 3 days 2 nights at the hotel. Special shout out to Debby (night shift staff) who advised us on the aircon issue we had on first night on how to adjust the right temperature and also Aria assisting us with getting the engineering team to fix the air con on the next morning. Debby thank you for also doing the night shift and maintaining the cleanliness of the pantry in the morning. Lastly, we will like to thank the service team for their excellent service and great hospitality. We are deeply touched by the genuine service and surprise little gift for our friend's birthday. (Thank you Lilian and Kenny and team) Keep up the great work and stay passionate in what you do.

The location is quite close to Tiehua Village, and it is convenient to eat out. It's a pity that the soundproofing inside the hotel is not good. The children next door were too noisy on the night of my stay, and the sound of cars passing by on the road could also be heard, which affected my sleep quality. However, the breakfast has vegetarian and meat flavors, which makes people feel warm!
