3-Star Hotels in Taiwan, China

It’s a bit difficult to find the hotel because it’s located in the high book building. The noise insulation is poor. You can easily hear people next door talking. Some residents also speak loudly in the corridor and constantly bang the doors. These are all uncontrollable but I can’t believe I heard the staff playing music loudly while cleaning other rooms. The hotel itself is noisy enough. Really disappointing. The upside is it provides clean drinking water so I don’t have to buy bottled water.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close walk to Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport MRT station for transportation (just need to figure out the right exit to enter or exit the station), walking distance to Ximenting for shopping, there are lots of eateries nearby, Chengzhong Market (城中市场 translate to Market in the city), a local market, is walking distance with lots of local food stalls. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby area is quite spacious with some longish siting area. There is no common area to work though. We booked 2 types of room for our group. Share Studio and Classic Twin. The Share Studio comes with 4 single beds, no window, but spacious. However, the toilet ergonomics not so good as there is no space to place toiletries in the shower cubicle except on the floor. 1 bit towel and a small towel are provided for, together with 2 paper cups for each bed. Each bed has a luggage storage area under the bed, a lockable drawer, and a small compartment for storing things. Each bed comes with a small retractable desk with its own light at the foot of the bed. The Classic Twin has better ergonomics in the toilet, and has windows to get ventilation (if needed). This room is considered more premium than the Share Studio, it comes with tea and coffee, and ceramic cups. In each room a water jug is provided for, and at least 2 water stations are available on each floor. Will I stay here again? Definitely.

I had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious and offered a lovely view from the 13th floor. The hotel's location is just a 5-minute walk to the metro, making it super convenient for exploring the area. There are also two handy convenience stores nearby, which made grabbing snacks and essentials a breeze. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were attentive. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location!

The hotel is not located close to the city, but is close to the high-speed rail station. The facilities in the room are new and the same as the photos on the official website. There are many storage spaces and plugs, which are quite suitable for long-term guests. It is equipped with an IH stove, an International brand steam oven, and a washing machine. However, after searching through all the cupboards, pots, pans, and laundry detergent, there is no distribution. I want to heat up a takeaway meal but I don’t know how to serve it. It’s a pity to waste these facilities. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the water volume is strong and super comfortable, the temperature-controlled faucet does not fluctuate in temperature, which is very considerate, and the drainage hole is also designed in a long strip shape so that no water accumulates. There are two pillows, one soft and one hard, for each person. The underground parking lot is bright and spacious. The cleanliness could be improved a bit. There is dust in the corners of the table and behind the TV. There are some stains on the bath towels, but it does not affect the use. The breakfast is indeed not very varied. The meal time is Sunday and Monday. For two consecutive days, I could clearly feel that there were some missing items in the meal preparation. The coffee machine provided milk one day and not the other day. However, meal boxes are provided for passengers who are unable to come down for meals. Breakfast has been divided into three periods, but the dining seats obviously cannot accommodate all the passengers. On Sunday, there were many people waiting in line for meals. But overall, you can still see the care put into it, and I will still recommend it to friends or stay here again.

Budget hotel with great location. 7-11 is right below.  Less than 5min walk to the mrt n located in the heart of ximending. Easy access to shopping n street food like my favorite fried chicken. This hotel would have earned my 5 stars if they included eggs cooked in any way for their daily breakfast.

Nice hotel. Booked a room for 4 people it was jot very spacious but could just fit us in. Convenient as it was next to taichung train station. Do not be confused with the high speed rail. The high speed rail is another station.

Very nice hotel located in Tainan. Very central, close to all the places by walking. Hotel safe and receptionnists are very professional. Room is ok, but very cheap for the area.

Very nice room and good service from the cleaning auntie and the counter receptionist. My first room has a sewage smell and after the first night, told the receptionist and they immediately let me change to another room.

Palmer hotel's location is very central, near taroko mall, Taichung park, Taichung train station and miyahahara ice cream shop. Palmer hotel offers buffet breakfast and also has a self laundry - coin operated same floor with the buffet. Room is big, 2 elevators working and quick checkin and check-out process. An average 3 star hotel with decent service and a decent location. Room was weirdly arranged (I suppose to accommodate 4 persons). Door has a 1 inch clearance below it, which means you hear everything happening on the floor. They provide ear plugs presumably because some guests must have complained about the noise. Good place if you're looking for a cheap place to sleep at night in this area. We have been to much worse 3 star hotels so we appreciated it for what it is. (Also, saw this sign outside the hotel... I think it means they charge hourly rates but it might be the neighboring place... 😅)

Location is alright, walking distance from train stations. Room is small but we had a great view overlooking the TAIPEI 101 Building. Checking in is with the use of a machine and the staffs are barely around.

The location is hard to track using the google maps, so better to use “amba ximending” then, you go to opposite building of amba. It’s in the same building of world gym. The right elevator stinks, so better to use the elevator with mirror inside. Amenities inside the room like the laundry and vault are out of service, but the rest are just normal for budget hotel. It’s in ximending so everything is accessible, like the convenience store, metro station and known shops in ximending. Staff are nice but can speak limited English. But they will still try their best to help you.

Very close to the MRT Zhongxiao Danhua station. There’s starbuck, ZARA, 7-11, ATM on the ground floor. The room was nice and specious. The bed was very comfortable just A little bit noisy from the club and room next door when having sex or closing the door but it’s not a big deal. The hotel provides earplugs and basic amenities such as hand and body lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap, drinking water, coffee and tea. The staffs were very nice, friendly and professional. I’ll definitely stay here again next time.

Nice hotel. Booked a room for 4 people it was jot very spacious but could just fit us in. Convenient as it was next to taichung train station. Do not be confused with the high speed rail. The high speed rail is another station.

Palmer hotel's location is very central, near taroko mall, Taichung park, Taichung train station and miyahahara ice cream shop. Palmer hotel offers buffet breakfast and also has a self laundry - coin operated same floor with the buffet. Room is big, 2 elevators working and quick checkin and check-out process. Good service people are nice and it's really near at the train station and bus station so it's so convenient to stay there and recommended I just hope that it's a little cheaper during weekend like for me as solo traveler I pay more than 2000 Taiwan dollar for overnight stay while weekdays they have a price of less than 1000 Taiwan dollar

Very nice room, i booked the capsule type but they upgraded to a single room instead, it was very nice. Location is very good, near taichung main station, Bus stop, and miyahara.

Although the space is small, it is very clean. The wood veneer on the table surface peeled off a bit and scratched my hands. The bathroom is large, semi-dry and wet, and water will splash into the dry area outside when taking a shower. The small refrigerator can be refrigerated but not frozen. The sound insulation is very good or the tenant next door is very quiet. There is a USB charging socket. The overall experience is very good, I will stay here again if necessary.

Decent hotel located in a very good location that is walkable from the Taichung TRA Station. Miyahara, a popular store, is reachable as well, and Zhongxiao Road Night Market is further down. The hotel staff are also friendly and helpful.

The environment decoration is not bad. The fixed base of the blackout curtain on the window of the room is loose. There is no projection light beside the bed. It is too dark at night. Everything else is great.

The room is spacious and clean. Location is very good and the night market is just 10 minutes walk away. The room gets very quiet at night as well.

The hotel has an excellent location, close to the night market and surrounded by great food options, with live evening performances adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the bed is clean and comfortable—though you’ll need to lay the bedsheet and pillowcase yourself. There’s also a budget-friendly food stall nearby serving generous portions. It’s a fantastic choice for solo travelers like me, and the cozy lounge on the second floor is a lovely bonus.

The hotel is near Cianjin (orange line) and the famous Liuhe night market. There are also a lot of breakfast restaurants and Family Mart near the hotel. Carrefour is also walking distance!

Overall, I would give it full marks because it is perfect in every aspect! The location is close to Sanduo MRT Station, very close to Formosa Boulevard and the airport! Although the lobby is small, it is well-equipped with a water dispenser, various coffee and milk tea bags, and three types of snacks that are available for you to take at will. A microwave is also provided for heating up lunch boxes. The room is on a high floor, big enough, new enough and simple enough, giving people a very comfortable feeling. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide very good lighting! The only drawback is that I found a lot of hair on the floor when I checked in. The service staff helped to clean it up. Their attitude and service were very good. I would recommend this! ! !

The place is very affordable, accessible and easy to find. The staffs are very friendly and approachable. I love the cozy vibes and the swimming pool at rooftop is lit🔥. Slay✨! There is a nearby tourist night market and the train station is just a few minutes walk away. I also love the vegetable salad and other food served at the hotel’s free breakfast. I would highly recommend this place and definitely wanna come back 😉

WORTH EVERY MONEY! The location is great just in front of Kaohsiung main station. All facilities were magnificent! Including 24/7 free ice cream, coffee, snacks and even laundry service. You can also get a bottle of house brew beer as a complimentary everyday.

Good: very good location, only 5 mins from Formosa Boulevard station, interchange of 2 lines. Clean and spacious triple room. Helpful frontdesk staff. Tea time with drinks and snacks. Bad: no chair, luggage rack or large mirror in the room, hair dryer is too weak, breakfast choices are very limited and too local taste.

The place is ok. The staff is just ok, I can't say they are too good either. They have a non-sense pedantic rule that you must collect your dishes and put them in a tray place. I felt like I am in McDonalds or in a trashy human factory. Meanwhile the staff are sitting doing nothing. As a guest, when I go to a hotel I want to relax, I have enough with tidying up and cleaning things at home, the least thing I want at a hotel is doing the same. Breakfast itself is ok but milk tea is EXTREMELY sweet and no milk tea option without sugar so if you do not wanna get diabetes type B you won't be able to enjoy breakfast. The rest is mostly very high carbs suggary or fried fatty stuff except a small salad buffet and scrambled eggs. There was no coffee during my stay as coffee machine was broken so cannot rate it. Checkin should be conveniently done with a kiosk downstairs but when I came it was broken too. The place feels comfortable and private. Water has only BOILING HOT water. So it does not have a mixer so you can shower for the first minute, then water is boiling super hot and there is no way to mix it up with cold water or make temperature cold down. It is funny cause travelling around the world I found some countries where it is difficult to get hot water but first time in my life finding a hotel where it is difficult to get cold water. Location is just ok, it is a bit far from MRT but most staff is nearby.

Kindness hotel, the name says it all. Great hospitality from the staff, was greeted each time when entering the hotel. Able to do your laundry for free with washing machine and dryer and detergent is provided as well. Free snacks/drinks/ice cream after 6pm at breakfast venue. Nice xmas decorations as well. Only one male young staff was quite weird when he came to our room to deliver extra pillows (pillows too thin to sleep), he wanted to come inside our room to check why we needed the extra pillows and we're quite uncomfortable with that action.

I came to Kaohsiung during the annual vacation and looked at a lot of accommodations. The reason why I finally chose this one ~ The appearance of the building looks very stable (there have been frequent earthquakes recently) 😂 In addition, the accommodation requirements met our needs: family room, parking lot, breakfast included, and the price was affordable! When I checked in at the counter, I felt that they were very kind, not because they helped me upgrade to a deluxe family room! The men and women are really kind and friendly. Snacks were provided before 21 o'clock, and the counter staff called in advance to inform us, but we still missed it. Although we tasted a variety of fresh biscuits, they didn't taste as good as they had been for a long time. I was even more satisfied when I entered the room. It was comfortable, clean, and really a space where you can relax and rest. The breakfast is really rich. I almost thought I was in a buffet in a large restaurant. The taste, variety, and freshness. Looking at the people dining around, they should all be as satisfied as me! When it was time to leave at the end, because there were so many guests, there were not enough parking spaces. Kangqiao Hotel also fully absorbed the parking fee. All you had to do was give the receipt to the counter. This is really good news for drivers. Based on the above sharing, the best accommodation choice in Kaohsiung ~ Kindness Hotel - Juemin Hotel!
