Anonymous UserThe room was spacious enough and the bed quite comfortable. The no window situation did not work for me, as I then have trouble to get up, but it was in the room description, so that's OK.
What I liked a lot, was the shower. Very good water pressure and proper ventilation.
What was lacking is tea bags. Kettle and some instant coffee was provided. Tea bags would've been awesome!
Overall, if you can forgive the no window thing, I can definitely recommend this hotel. The location is superb and the style quite fun.

This stay was in the Pine View room, located in the newer annex. The facilities were new and clean, and the hot spring water quality was excellent. The overall lighting and environment were good. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken. The double bed was made of two single beds pushed together, and the mattresses felt quite old, with a noticeable bump where they joined but a dip in the middle, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. The breakfast offered a decent variety of Chinese and Western options. The staff were friendly and had a good attitude. I'd suggest they pay more attention to the quality control of the bamboo shoots served with the congee; they had a strong rancid smell, as if they'd been sitting for a long time.

Anonymous UserThe location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!

The Plaza Hotel is actually an older, well-established brand in Taichung. Its location is quite good, and the entire hotel has been recently renovated, so it's still very spacious and clean. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get to Fengjia Night Market, the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the new Hanshin Department Store, or Shinkong Mitsukoshi in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. There's parking available on-site. The hotel also offers breakfast, but you can choose a room-only option if you prefer not to have it. Definitely recommended!

Guest UserGreat hotel ever! Room is very clean, big, and good smell. Good location of hotel. Very near MRT Ximen exit 5 and Ximending. The staffs are very great, polite, and helpful. Many types of room (2-3-4 beds) with reasonable price. This hotel will the one and only one that I will choose and book for the next Taipei trip.

Highly recommended even for solo travelers! Although having two breakfasts by myself was a bit of a dilemma, upgrading one to the teppanyaki business lunch was incredibly delicious and well worth it. The only downside is that eating breakfast and then lunch right after can be a bit too much... The complimentary tofu pudding in the evening was also amazing; I couldn't help but have several bowls 🤤. The fried snacks at the rooftop bar were also excellent. It's a hotel I'd love to visit again! Not only do you eat until you're full, but you also get to enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content ❤️. While it's a bit of a 10+ minute walk to the bustling areas, after eating so much, a walk isn't a bad idea at all!

babyjobeI love the hotel offer of tub inclusive shower room, giving me the maximum comfort after a long day of touring through taipei! Even further, the hotel offers the bath salt for relaxation that reduces my muscle stress. Moreover, it offers a small baby chair for me to take shower with full convenience! This is 100% Amazing Grace!

resplendentxHad a thoroughly enjoyable 4-night stay in Taipei. It was perfect for me as a solo traveller! The cleanliness was top notch throughout the hotel, and housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The location was also extremely convenient — just near the airport transfer at Taipei Main Station, which made travelling around very easy. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and fuss-free, and the staff provided great service throughout the stay. Amenities were great as well, with all the basic necessities (bottled water, room slippers and bath soap) thoughtfully provided. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

Anonymous UserHotel location is okay, at exit 4 of Xinen station. But need to walk one round for the entrance. Cleanliness is average. Hallway carpet is dirty and stained, hotel rooms carpet also kinda dusty. Curtains are stained, space and bed are still okay. No daily essentials given, got to bring your own. Only provided water for first day, the other days need to refill at water dispenser. There’s 7 11 downstairs, and cosmed opposite. Food wise only one dumpling stall downstairs, need to walk over to Ximen exit 6 there to have more food options. Hard to find dustbin even at lobby.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Humble Boutique Hotel from March 30 to April 5, 2026, for our first sightseeing trip to Taipei. We would like to express our genuine gratitude for the hospitality we received during our six-day visit.
Commendable Service & Hospitality
The true highlight of our stay was the staff. From the concierge and housekeeping teams to the gym and restaurant staff, everyone worked diligently to ensure the hotel ran smoothly. We were particularly impressed by the team’s English proficiency; communication was seamless, making us and the many international guests we encountered feel very much at home.
We would like to extend a special thank you to:
* Kaley, Tina, and Mary at the restaurant for their attentive service.
* Our dedicated housekeeper (the kind lady from Vietnam) who looked after our room on the 9th floor.
Excellent Facilities & Location
* Prime Accessibility: The hotel’s location in the central district is incredibly convenient. Being just steps away from the MRT station made our sightseeing effortless, and the 30-minute shuttle ride from the airport was very efficient.
COMPACT GYM: It’s compact but contains most of the equipments I need including treadmill, stairclimbers, Multi- purpose gym stations and dumbbell.
WARM SWIMMING POOL: nice, long and warm - the water is kept at a temperature of 28 degree. Towel will be provided. Make sure to bring your own swimming hat if you prefer to swim.
* Accommodations: Our corner King Room on the 9th floor was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided a very cozy retreat after a long day of exploring.
* Wellness & Dining: We enjoyed the well-equipped, compact gym and the lovely heated pool, which was maintained at a comfortable 28°C. Furthermore, the semi-buffet breakfast on the 2nd floor was a daily highlight. Each of the five main course options was delicious and well-prepared.
Constructive Reflections
In the spirit of helpfulness, we noticed two small areas for potential improvement. First, the installation of a few coin-operated laundry machines would be a wonderful convenience for long-term travelers. Second, as the hotel is so centrally located, there is some audible road noise even on the higher floors; however, this is understandable given the prime location.
FINAL
We would rate our experience a 9.5/10. Had there been laundry facilities, it would have been a perfect 10. The Humble Boutique Hotel will undoubtedly be our first choice when we return to Taipei. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable.
