Great location! Right across from the 16 Pu bus station and within walking distance to the Ruins of St. Paul's. In the evenings, you can also walk to Rua da Praia do Manduco for some food. The hotel even has a ladies-only floor, which is a nice touch!
I chose the Hou Kong Hotel this time and was very satisfied. You can take bus 25 from The Venetian to Shui Kang Mei, and the hotel is right across the road. The soundproofing is excellent; with the windows closed, you barely hear a thing. A special thanks to the two front desk staff, Picky and Edie, who were very kind, enthusiastic, and had a great attitude! There are also plenty of dining options around the hotel!
I was a bit anxious after seeing so many negative reviews. However, my experience, especially considering the off-season price, was excellent. The location is super convenient; the airport bus goes straight there, and there are plenty of local eateries nearby. The room I booked was very clean, and unlike some other chains, the lights don't automatically turn on if you shift in bed, which is great for light sleepers. With the windows closed, you can't hear any outside noise, as long as people aren't talking loudly in the hallway. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Macau.
The hotel's location is very convenient, directly opposite Lee Kum Kee, making it easy to find. It's about a ten-minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's. From the room, you can see the back of the Grand Lisboa, and there are many eateries nearby with reasonable prices. The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable, very well maintained. However, the disposable bedding isn't very soft, and the pillows are too flimsy.
The location is excellent, very close to Ponte 16. It's a fantastic choice for budget travelers. It's also conveniently located near a market, and the eateries on its second floor offer great sea views. As an added bonus, I even caught a fireworks display!
We just stayed for two nights and so far it was a good stay!
The location is very good cause it's near to the tourist attraction the Ruins of St paul, then there's a 7/11 store, mcdo, near hospital on the opposite side, there's qlso a 24hr supermarket beside the mcdo which is very near in the hotel! There's also a bus since it's like a rotonda you east access to public transpo.Really a good spot if you are planning to explore the Central Macau
The location is perfect ,just several steps away from the St.Paul’s ruins .many cafes ,bus stops and ******* are near by.all amenities needed are provided by the hotel
The Grand Three-Star Hotel is tucked away in an alley, boasting an excellent location surrounded by amazing food just a few steps away. It's a great value-for-money hotel, highly recommended. I'd definitely choose it again for my next trip.
However, a heads-up: absolutely avoid the Tianxiangyuan dessert shop shown in the pictures, which is diagonally opposite the hotel. They charge in RMB, not MOP, and when I questioned the owner afterward, she was incredibly rude, claiming it was her 'house rule.' Don't fall for their scam.
Transportation: Super convenient on Rua Nova. The stops for Rua Nova/Tai Fung, Largo do Pagode, and Golden Boat are all within walking distance. It's also easy to walk to Ponte 16 and Almeida Ribeiro. You can walk to Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul's, and there are direct buses to Rua do Cunha and Hac Sa Beach in Coloane.
Amenities: The toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) are great; no need to bring your own conditioner. There are cloth slippers but no plastic ones, which was a minor inconvenience. The wardrobe includes a safe, luggage rack, and anti-deformation hangers.
Cleanliness: Pretty good. You can press the button to have them clean daily, and the bottled water is replenished every day.
Environment: A quiet oasis in a bustling area, with tons of great food nearby. I highly recommend Rua da Felicidade and Rua da Alfândega for their old-school eateries with delicious and affordable dishes.
Service: The front desk staff was incredibly patient and enthusiastic. No deposit is needed for one room card, but two cards require a 100 MOP deposit. Luggage storage is free if it's not overnight.
A great place! Stayed there for 1 night but would gladly stay for longer and would definitely come back if I happen to come to Macao again. Not new, but tidy and comfortable. The room was exactly as on the pictures, my window faced a small playground/park, not a bad view :) You could open the windows. Great location, a walking distance away from almost everywhere in the area.
Check in was smooth, the staff asked for a 100$ deposit which I was ready for and provided 100 HKD I had on me. The deposit was returned upon checking out. After the check out they let me leave my bag for as much as I needed so I went on to explore Macao without the extra weight on me.
The room was spacious, the areas nicely separated. The shower had a glass wall. Shower gel and shampoo provided, but I have a little suspicion it was the same liquid poured into 2 different bottles because it smelled the same lol did not bother me since I only stayed for 1 night. there was also a dental kit, a hairdryer, hangers, tissues, disposable slippers and even a shaving kit. there was no soap but I asked the reception and they kindly provided me with 2 small hotel-like bars.
The air conditioner worked perfectly, the bed linens were clean, the sockets had universal adapters

YyramegevLocation is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless.
However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ==========
The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job.
If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics.
Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.”
Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?!
I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive.

Facilities:
The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.
MMs. VSThe front desk named Jose was to be our “kababayan” was so kind, he lets us in earlier than their check-in time happened to be the room was ready but their normal check-in time would be @3pm. Thank you so much “Jose” for your kindness. I would highly recommended this place when it comes to their cleanliness and very accommodating employees. It is a 1 double bed room. The room was big, cleaned and very comfortable. The bathroom is so clean and pretty big. We will definitely come back here. Keep up the good work guys especially to our “kababayan”. Thank you!!!
GGuest UserIt’s my first time staying here. The room itself is clean, but the washroom was a bit dirty and moldy. It could have been better. No complaints for the bed and room itself though. The location will be a bit tricky for people who don’t know the location well (I’ve been to Macau and this area many times so it wasn’t a problem for me), but as long as you’ve got Google map, you’ll easily locate the hotel. For such a budget hotel, the amenities was enough, toothbrushes, cups, disposable slippers, towels,(no bottled water though) but I do suggest bring your own face towel as they only provide you with one bath towel (I didn’t use it, I brought my own). The location is close to many restaurants, some even open until midnight! And also a 24hr supermarket which makes it super convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserThis is the perfect hotel for non-casino travelers like me. It’s as close as it can be to the historical center, very clean, spacious and most importantly cozy room (other hotels had cold tiles instead of nice carpet). I want to say that the receptionist at night (Unfortunately I didn’t write his name down) was extremely helpful and KIND. He not only answered my questions, but even told me about history of the city, gave me advice how to experience food and drinks on a budget, even encouraged me in my dreams to study at HKU. I was sorry he wasn’t at the reception when I came back from my night walk anymore. If his boss is reading this, give this man a raise, he is doing great job. When I come to Macao again, I will, without doubt, choose this nice boutique hotel and I will recommend it to all my friends. The pic is a screenshot from video, so it looks shaky. Room was very cozy.
MM505899****Overall, it was a great stay. The double bed in the room was quite spacious, and I slept very comfortably. The views and the hotel's decor were also quite nice. The front desk service was excellent, and it felt very secure as you needed a card to access the elevators. Most importantly, it's very close to Gongbei Port, about a 15-minute walk, and there's a bus stop right next door. It made visiting Macau very convenient and satisfying! They also provide breakfast vouchers. I'll definitely book again next time. For two people, it was less than 200 per person.

MM260274****I came for a fan meeting and just wanted to book a super cheap hotel for one night, but I didn't expect such a great stay!
1️⃣The price is cheap, only two to three hundred, and it's in the city center, which is really affordable. Following Gaode Maps, it's just a short walk from the bus stop, in an alley near the station.
2️⃣No strange odors, and no mold or anything in the corners of the bathroom, which really surprised me. The room must be old, but it's not dirty at all; it's very clean!
3️⃣The shower water heats up very quickly, and the water pressure is strong, which is very comfortable! Plus, the bathroom has a wet/dry separation, and the curtain doesn't have any smell either!
4️⃣The front desk staff were also super nice. I stayed during the Christmas season, and they even gave me two big apples, Merry Christmas~
5️⃣The power outlets in the room are universal, so I didn't need an adapter, which was a very pleasant surprise.
6️⃣The bed is also very comfortable, and the bedding is great! Clean!
7️⃣Being able to store luggage is also a big plus!
