Huge hotel with great facilities, but gym, sauna, onsen and pool have to be paid extra and at high prices. That left a very bitter aftertaste. The room was large but a bit dated and could be cleaned better.
The service at the reception could be nicer and speak better English. However, the rest of the service staff were extremely nice and helpful. Early check-in was possible free of charge.
The hotel is very close to Kobe airport, but only offers a shuttle service for the train stations. Why not also for the airport is somewhat questionable.
The view outside the room is great as it is close to Kobe Harbour (not quite sure) but it is pity that the soundproofing not quite well as we can hear noise passed from another guest room. And I don’t recommend the dinner buffet here because the menu is limited
Overall it is good ,the surrounding of the hotel is very beautiful
Great that the hotel has shuttle bus service from Sannoymiya station, and the service is fantastic. It was hassle free and easy to get to the hotel. Other services were great as well, however, the laundry service was less than great. There are not enough washing machines for the size of the hotel, and many guests are always queuing for the washing machine. Also, the bell captain is inconsistent with the way of managing the laundry queue. Sometimes, there is a waiting list for guests to register on, while other times, there is a need to wait in person for the key to be available.

An excellent choice for visiting Awaji Island. The rooms are spacious with great views. The hotel's buffet offers a wide selection and is very reasonably priced. What impressed me most was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, who were genuinely accommodating and went out of their way to assist. I will definitely stay there again.
The rooms are spacious and well-designed. The ocean-view rooms face the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, offering a stunning view. The Dancong experience was impeccable.
However, I must say that the hotel is incredibly far from the subway station, and there's nothing around it. If you're someone with limited physical activity like me, I highly recommend this place. Even a late-night trip to the convenience store feels like a long hike.

I'm fairly certain this hotel used to be the Daiwa Royal Hotel. I've stayed here many times before, even under its previous name, but this was my first visit since the rebranding. Considering the high price, the amenities provided were quite basic. On a positive note, the complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice touch.
The most significant disappointment was the 50-minute wait for breakfast. Had this not been an issue, my stay would have been far more satisfactory. During peak times, such as the busy summer holiday season, I strongly suggest they consider expanding the breakfast area or increasing its capacity. Despite the wait, the breakfast itself was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, this lengthy delay significantly impacted our sightseeing plans for the day.

This was our second visit here. The staff is very helpful, and there is a free transfer not just to and from the station - if you want a pickup from the town or the ropeway during your stay, they will help too. The private baths are beautiful and very well maintained, and the reserve-next-as-you-leave-the-previous system is very convenient. Overall, great experience.
The location is excellent for visiting nearby sightseeing spots. For example, Kitano Ijinkan and Herb Garden. The high speed railway is also right next to the hotel, which makes it very convenient. I have been to other hotels such as Hotel Okura and Meriken Oriental Hotel. After visiting all of them, I still think ANA Crowne Kobe is not only the cheapest but the best in terms of location, services, and amenities. For example, gym is Crowne is free compared to the other two. They also got adapters for foreigners unlike the other two. Furthermore, they got a lot of restaurants inside and nearby which makes it a very appealing place for a business trip.
Great hotel in a fantastic location! We had a lovely time here and were well looked after. The onsen was glorious in the evenings also. Wasn’t too happy about the added cost of being given a second key for the room (which we didn’t ask for, but were given and had no idea we would be charged). Aside from the added cost at check out, it was lovely!!

Amazing
ZZhezidashuA very satisfying trip to Awaji Island was made even better by our hotel. Everything was arranged in the best way. We changed buses from Kyoto and confirmed the pick-up station through the Ctrip platform. When we arrived, it was still early, so we took the free shuttle bus to go shopping (with luggage back to the hotel). We used the coupons to buy lunch and ice cream at Hello Kitty. When checking in, the male waiters all kneel down to serve, and confirm the information of dinner and going out the next day. The room we stayed in is a single-family round house like a yurt with a viewing balcony and a wooden bath. The details of the room are all local characteristics (dressing box, free mini bar/dessert, washbasin are all petrified wood). The central roof is transparent and empty, and you can also observe the stars. We enjoyed the food here for 5 days, especially the dinner was not repeated and changed in various styles. What surprised me was that the waitress could perform saxophone and flute at dinner, and there was a restaurant like a stage on the island where you could also enjoy the waiter's musical performance. The 20,000 consumption vouchers given for 5 days are enough for you to go out for free at noon. We also bought Hello Kitty exclusive gifts for the children at the Big Apple with the vouchers. This trip to Awaji Island is more memorable than the trip to Kyoto, and the people are simple and honest. Everyone is working hard to promote tourism in Awaji Island, which is worthy of praise. I will bring my children here next time.

AAndrea ElijhaOverall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen).
A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY.
Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out.
GGuest UserI have to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Hatsumi from the hotel. Thanks to her help, I had a wonderful trip to Rokkōsan. She is definitely a polite, professional, and of course pretty lady. Her communication skills are good especially that she speaks fluent English which would be of great help for someone like me who don't speak any japanese. Although the original local tour was full of bookings , she helped me reserve a taxi and solve my ease of communicating with local taxi drivers.
The view and environment is splendid with a great hotel service teams. I would highly recommend to someone who wants to experience a unique accommodation experience. Though the drawbacks , as you might know already , is 1) no private bathroom 2) not sound-proof building materials , but it is understandable given that the hotel is with ancient history

RRubenWe had an amazing stay at Arimasansoh Goshobessho! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel & rooms itself are incredibly comfy and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere and a delightful wood scent that adds to its charm.
The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations (very good French toast, and onion soup) such a great way to start the day!
A special thank-you to the hotel staff for their kindness and efficiency in returning the Apple Watch we accidentally left behind—it was much appreciated!
Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and memorable getaway.
