Hotel near Wan Chai and Causeway Bay,Hong Kong 7.2% of visitors choose this area

Great location! I've been to Hong Kong many times, but this was my first stay in Causeway Bay, and it was a really good experience. The room was very spacious and even had a partial sea view. The value for money here is outstanding. The 'ding ding' tram stop is right downstairs. The downsides are that it's a bit old; the first day the bath towel had a stain, and the second day it had a hole. Also, a minor issue is that being close to the road, the traffic lights downstairs make a faint 'ding ding' sound all night. If you're a light sleeper, it might be a slight disturbance. Overall, I'd go again and would recommend it to friends.

Staying at the Harbour Grand Hong Kong was a luxurious experience, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room provided breathtaking vistas of the dazzling city skyline and sparkling waters, transforming day and night into a living painting. The hotel's service was impeccable and attentive; the staff consistently anticipated our needs, combining efficiency with genuine warmth. The rooftop infinity pool felt like it was suspended between the sky and the sea, offering an unparalleled view while swimming. The location is excellent, close to both the business district and the MTR, making travel incredibly convenient. Overall, it perfectly blends magnificent scenery, outstanding service, and urban accessibility, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The Murray, a Michelin one-star hotel, is a luxury property under the Niccolo brand, transformed from the historic Murray Building. It opened in 2018, stands 25 stories tall, and most rooms offer city views. I booked through Trip.com's presale for about HKD 1800 per night, which included a HKD 300 F&B credit within the hotel. The N1 Deluxe Room is 47 square meters, which is quite spacious for Hong Kong. The room provides four bottles of VOSS mineral water, a capsule coffee machine, welcome fruit, and chocolates. They even surprised me with a cake for my birthday. During check-in, they offered towels and tea, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The N1 room doesn't have a bathtub, but the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. No need for power adapters; there are **sockets for Chinese plugs. The F&B credit couldn't be stacked or used at Cotton Tree. We opted to use it for in-room dining service. Turndown service each evening included TWG tea bags and chocolates. Minor hiccup: Around 11 PM, there was a water pressure issue, and they compensated us with chocolates the next day. Overall, it was still a good stay. It's located right next to the Peak Tram station, and the hotel is situated between Admiralty and Central MTR stations. They offer a complimentary shuttle service (advance booking required).

I chose this hotel out of several five-star options because I was attending a concert, and the service from the staff was genuinely excellent. Everyone greeted us with a smile. We were very lucky to be upgraded to an 80-square-meter sea-view suite. The room facilities were also great, with complimentary drinks and snacks, plus a 360-degree sea view – truly fortunate! We also had free breakfast, afternoon tea, and access to the executive lounge. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

In my early years, I often collaborated with the Kerry Group. If the 80s belonged to the Ritz-Carlton and the 90s to Hilton, then Shangri-La has since reigned as a 'heaven on earth,' truly living up to its name. If you're tired of monotonous experiences, then after trying the 'local flavor old-brand royal' hotels in Hong Kong and Macau, you'll tell yourself not to challenge yourself again as you get older. These '特色皇家老牌' (characteristic royal old-brand) hotels will only transport you back to 1960s state-run guesthouses, complete with grumpy staff, rattling air conditioners, and 'flavorful' showers that fluctuate between hot and cold – much like the declining British Empire. Be kind to yourself. Stepping into the familiar Shangri-La lobby, it's a unique experience, like escaping a disaster. After returning from Victoria Peak to Hong Kong University, I had the best sleep I've ever had in Hong Kong. The service is excellent in that it doesn't add to your troubles when you're already feeling weary. Aside from some doormen who exhibit a 'Hong Kong style' of judging people, everything else is outstanding. Especially noteworthy is the polite and graceful lobby manager in red. I witnessed a small incident where she treated customers speaking Japanese and Chinese with equal respect – a definite plus. A unique environmental feature is that Hong Kong Park acts as the hotel's backyard, a luxury usually reserved for national guesthouses.

Anyone who frequently passes through Wan Chai would likely be drawn to its facade; it looks quite fancy but is actually quite good value for money. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor for check-in. The common area occupies an entire floor: the layout with sofas, chairs, lamps, and paintings is very typical of a boutique hotel, providing a large and open social space and co-working area. The warm lighting creates a strong contrast with Hong Kong's cool, stark blue outdoor hues. I booked a basic 25-square-meter king room. The functional areas are well-divided, with two glass doors separating the wet and dry areas, much like a high-end apartment layout, making it suitable for longer stays too. The bathroom has ample space, so washing up and using the toilet doesn't feel cramped. For one person, the bedroom area is very spacious; for two, it would be a bit snug. It employs a common Hong Kong hotel technique of maximizing space. The fridge and minibar are hidden within various invisible cabinets, not interfering with their use. They provide refillable glass bottles for water, and the TV supports screen mirroring but lacks external speakers. The bedding is very comfortable, but toothbrushes cost extra. Given its downtown location, the soundproofing is also excellent. Overall, the style is very modern, and the furniture layout and materials feel solid. The only minor drawback is that the brand style and details fell a bit short; I expected it to be more design-oriented, but it turned out to be more practical. Considering its location, bedding comfort, and spatial layout, it's a comfortable option I wouldn't hesitate to choose next time I'm in Hong Kong.

Facilities: Although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are well-maintained and in good working order. There's a water dispenser, which is super convenient! Cleanliness: The room was cleaned promptly and thoroughly, and requests were handled efficiently. Environment: It's right next to the Avenue of Stars. There's a small door on the second floor, next to the breakfast area, that leads directly to a footbridge. Cross the bridge and you're at the Avenue of Stars. It's very convenient to walk to Victoria Harbour, the Star Ferry, and take the ferry. Under the footbridge, there's a Citybus A25 that goes directly to the border and the airport – extremely convenient! Service: The hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They even gave complimentary breakfast to the kids and helped us with directions. It was excellent!

This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel where the AC noise kept me up all night. Even with earplugs, it was still so loud! When I turned it off at night, it got really hot! Even on the lowest fan setting, it was still noisy! Plus, the room's soundproofing is terrible. My room was at a corner of the hallway, and almost every night, people would be laughing loudly around the corner! I stayed here two years ago and remembered the hotel's location and surroundings were great, which is why I chose it again, but the AC is just awful this time. Due to environmental reasons, no disposable toiletries are provided now, but you can buy them at the hotel or at the many large supermarkets nearby. (The picture shows the view from outside the room)

My first time staying in a 5-star hotel! 🏨 The room was super clean. It's also easy to find, and only costs 3.7 to get here by bus from the Big Buddha. The bed was big and comfortable, and it's only a 5-minute walk to the airport without even needing to cross any roads. Super convenient!

The lounge was pretty good. The highlights were the breakfast and the afternoon tea with milk tea, which were excellent. The happy hour drinks were also great, though the caps on the sparkling wine were a bit tricky and could easily cut your hand. I stayed here over a decade ago and had a great impression of the housekeeping staff. This time was no different; the room was cleaned very thoroughly, and they were very nice. Jocelyn Xu at the executive floor check-in was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. Thumbs up! I'll definitely be back.

11186269101For my relatives' trip to Hong Kong, I booked the Royal Plaza Hotel in Mong Kok for them. As a hotel situated in the bustling heart of Mong Kok, it perfectly balances vibrancy with tranquility! The moment you step into the lobby, the elegant design instantly puts you at ease. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming with smiles. The room itself was spacious – a 33-square-meter guest room in Hong Kong is definitely 'luxury' level. The interior was cozy, with soft lighting and high-quality wood-grain furniture, creating a homely feel. What was most satisfying was how incredibly clean the room was, with tidy bedding and even the smallest details spotless. Plus, it comes with a direct drinking water system, which is fantastic for tea lovers! 👍 The bathroom facilities were also a highlight. The separate bathtub allowed for a relaxing soak, washing away the day's fatigue. In terms of location, the Royal Plaza Hotel truly has the upper hand. It's directly connected to Mong Kok East MTR Station and the large MOKO shopping mall. Whether you're heading to Tsim Sha Tsui for the Star Ferry or Causeway Bay for some retail therapy, transportation is incredibly convenient! The surrounding area is also a paradise for eating, shopping, and entertainment. In just a few minutes' walk, you can reach特色attractions like Goldfish Market and Sneaker Street, allowing you to experience authentic Hong Kong culture anytime.

GGuest UserFor Hong Kong, this room is quite spacious. It's relatively new, very clean, and in a great location – just one stop from Causeway Bay. Excellent value for money. I saw some online comments saying it was hard to find, but I found it quite easy. I stayed for three days and by the end, I realized how well-connected it was. On my last day, I even discovered an underground passage very close to the MTR station!

YYiqiqukanhai58The hotel's location is excellent. From West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, head towards Elements Mall. Once inside Elements, continue following the clear signs to the hotel. The entire walk is indoors. It's also convenient if you exit at Kowloon MTR station; just walk into Elements. The hotel is clean and the service is warm and friendly. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very welcoming. There are clear signs leading to the hotel entrance. You take the elevator to the 6th-floor lobby where staff direct you to the front desk for an easy check-in process. Because of the convenience and excellent service, I extended my stay for an extra day. On the first day, I wasn't familiar with Elements Mall, but once I got my bearings, it was very easy to get around. To travel from Hong Kong to Macau or Zhuhai, you can simply take the cross-border bus from within Elements Mall, which is incredibly convenient!

Fflora_feihuayeThe room was quite spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough every day. A blue taxi from the airport cost 150 RMB, while a red taxi was 165 RMB. The à la carte dinner at Yun Long Xuan was delicious, and we got a 100 RMB discount with the room voucher for orders over 500 RMB; the service there was also very warm and welcoming. However, Hong Kong Disneyland is incredibly crowded these days, and the experience isn't as good as it used to be. For breakfast, we opted for the à la carte Hong Kong style and American breakfasts at 160 RMB per person; a sandwich cost 65 RMB.

Ww andOverall, it was a good stay, and I’d likely choose this hotel again. The price offers great value for money, and the views in Sha Tin are beautiful. I think families with children should definitely consider upgrading to a larger room next time to get more space. Especially for a special occasion like a birthday, you’d want a memorable experience. The front desk staff were all very polite and helpful, even proactively assisting with luggage. The hotel has made a good improvement by adding charging stations in the lobby; before, you couldn't charge there and had to pay for a power bank. The restaurant food is also delicious. For the buffet, I hope there will be more promotions next time. Thanks!

GGuest UserThe sofa bed on the room pictures can only be converted to a bed with extra charge. I feel it’s a false advertisement when I booked it. It’s not a difficult task to do it but hard to believe the that small task needs additional charge which is not mentioned on the trip.com website. Also the plug in the bathtub didn’t work and could not use the bathtub. The overhead shower is broken so water is spread out everywhere. Only the hand held shower head works. Overall it’s below my expectations when staying at a high end hotel in hk.

GGuest User*Birthday treatment - Birthday celebration and stay over for Ocean Park on the checkout date. Free upgrade to a room with bathtub. Free birthday cake. *Checkout time extension on request  - We told the receptionist staff we might need to check out slightly late because we wanted to have the birthday cake after breakfast. She generously allowed us to check out by 12:30pm, though we left by 11:45am to head to the Ocean Park in the end.  *Hotel breakfast is recommended Topped up for hotel breakfast buffet which finished at around 10:30am. Thumbs up for the excellent sea view and food choices. The hotel’s Instagram offers Buy 1 get 1 free lunch and dinner buffet from today till March 2026. Check it out. *Some hotel amenities are closed  Swimming pool and the seafront passageway on the ground floor are closed. Therefore 1 score is deducted for this.  *Storage tip for Ocean Park  - Ocean Park provides locker rental service of HK$140 per day. Therefore we can simply put our bags in without returning to the hotel. The size of the locker is not large though, can put 2 medium size backpacks. *Conclusion It took about 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the front gate of Ocean Park by taxi at the fare of around HK$42. The hotel provides free shuttle bus option though. Very fine and clean luxury hotel which is value for the price convenient for a trip to Ocean Park.
