The location is a bit off the beaten path, making it ideal for self-driving tourists. Due to its proximity to nature, you might occasionally encounter a few insects in the rooms, but the hotel is generally clean and well-maintained. It boasts a wide array of recreational facilities, along with services such as restaurants, hot springs, and massages. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for money, so you can easily spend a full and enjoyable vacation without leaving the hotel. I highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing getaway!

Staying at Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street was a highlight of our trip to Nagasaki. The hotel is beautifully designed with a distinct British colonial character that fits perfectly into the historic Glover Garden neighbourhood — stepping outside, you’re just moments from Oura Cathedral and some of Nagasaki’s most iconic sights.
The rooms are immaculate, stylishly appointed, and the bathrobes were a lovely touch after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast at Restaurant Cathedréclat — set inside what feels like a converted chapel — was a real experience in itself, with a tasty Japanese option that was genuinely delicious.
The staff deserve a special mention: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Service was flawless from check-in to check-out.
The only minor thing I’d flag — and it really is minor — is that the pillows are on the thin and soft side, which might not suit everyone who prefers a bit more support. A firmer pillow option would make this hotel absolutely perfect.

Anonymous UserThe hotel looked brand new along with all the other buildings in the Nagasaki Station area. The room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. I liked everything about the hotel except I thought it was silly I had to take two elevators at different ends of the building when coming and going. Not a big deal but makes you wonder what the architect was thinking at the time. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if I have another opportunity to visit Nagasaki.

Posted on Dec 10, 2023|[Non-Smoking]Standard Double Room
wwhosambirThe lobby is somewhat dated but has a retro charm to it. I stayed in a standard double room which is spacious enough for one person but would be a bit cramped for two. The room seems to have been renovated recently as the fixtures, furnishings and appliances look quite new. The small balcony overlooking Glover Street is a plus.
The staff at the front desk, concierge and the restaurant are all super nice and helpful.
The location is very convenient. The Oura Cathedral tram stop is just down the street and many attractions such as Glover Garden, Dejima, Confucius Shrine & Museum, Holland Zaka, Gunkanjima Digital Museum are within walking distance.

The Olive Bay Hotel is very good and can be said to be perfect. Convenient for self-driving, I rely on public transportation, the hotel is on the big island next to Sasebo, and the boat is within 10 minutes of Sasebo Station. I missed it at 1:30 in the afternoon and waited until 4:25. The boat was opened 15 minutes before the boat opened. There was a difference between holidays. Apple navigation is accurate, half an hour to the big island, there is no information office at the pier, no staff, no rental, fortunately someone called a taxi, I also let him send, he sent the last guest to pick me up, the pier to the hotel 7 minutes, Apple navigation said that walking for 15 minutes is definitely not possible, At least forty minutes. It was so beautiful to arrive at the hotel, regretting the three hours I wasted at Sasebo Pier. The room is also super good and can't pick any shortcomings. Carefully observe the hotel details are perfect, extremely clean and bright, and the maintenance is very good. The two meals with two meals are delicious and formal. The dinner red wine beef and the nature of the performance are excellent. The beef quality is excellent. The freshly cooked siphon coffee for breakfast is really delicious. The staff were all warm and serious. After checking out, they sent me to the pier. The hotel I wanted to stay in was much better than Beppu Intercontinental.

The hotel is only a three to four minute walk from the train station, which was a lifesaver for my exhausted self. It's clean, and the brand-new facilities are a refreshing change from typical Japanese hotels. It's also great value for money and super convenient for shopping.

Guest UserIt is a family hotel with complete facilities. It has a large lawn facing Shimabara Port and a bicycle slide for children to play. There is a small children's paradise on the second floor of the new building. There is a hot spring in the main building and the new building. The staff are also very good. Dinner needs to be reserved in advance. We didn't have a reservation. The lady at the front desk helped us talk to the restaurant and let us in. The ordering system was overall very good.
This hotel is not recommended for booking on Ctrip. The agents Ctrip hired, including Ctrip’s specialists, were very unprofessional. After booking, they told me that the reservation was successful for three adults. In fact, I booked two adults and one child (the child is 4 years old). There was a system problem after the reservation. It became 3 adults. Ctrip asked me and the hotel to confirm whether the children can stay. It was very funny. I called and asked for a refund and she said no. Why should the customer bear the risk? Why should the customer bear the risk? The price booked at that time was 1378 for two large and one small. Meals are included, but the price actually includes two meals for two adults in this room type. 4-7 years old only need to pay 1,500 yen (75 RMB) to check in, but Ctrip actually charges the adult rate.
