Belussi Beach Hotel & Suites

I always give a fair and impartial view. Owners and other staff very pleasant however the accommodation left a bit to be desired. Small kitchen area as you enter but 1 teaspoon and a glass. No pots,pans or cutlery. Is this a relic of an older design?

We loved it here. Visited in Sept with my husband and 20 yr old daughter. We all needed a break, we wanted to sit in the sun, wander around looking at local sites, read, eat good food and relax. I am very pleased to report that we did all this(and more). The hotel is at the quieter end of the island, we knew this and this is one reasons we picked it. There is a bus stop metres from the hotel and it was never too much trouble for the staff at the hotel to organise a taxi for us. Taxi's were reasonably priced. There is a small marina where we were able to hire a boat (with skipper) and take a wonderful tour of some of the islands wonderful sites that are only excess able by boat. There were several tavernas in walking distance from our hotel, the closest one says on Google that its a 'snack bar' but it is much more than this. We were able to sit and look over the ocean and enjoy a variety of dishes. The family owners of the hotel run everything and are very friendly and helpful. The Covid pandemic must have devastated them and its good to see their recovery. Its an older hotel and I loved its architecture, gardens and access to the sea. It sits in the landscape so well. The rooms are cleaned every day, with fresh linens and towels. I could go on but I won't. Suffice to say we had a great week and a faded sign at the front of the hotel did not impact my enjoyment one bit!!

If you have paid a few hundred pounds for a cheap getaway in Greece this place may be fine. However it is marketed and charged as a 4* hotel which it definitely is not. The photo used on the easyjet website is of some apar**ents down the road - not this hotel. The outside is faded and in disrepair and the rooms are the same. It is very old fashioned, basic and badly in need of updating. I had one lampshade but the other lights just had bare bulbs. There is an old, grubby kitchenette area with no utensils. The wardrobes have a couple of old plastic hangers but were not big enough to hang my clothes in anyway. I did have a view of the sea from my balcony and the very basic restaurant also has lovely views. We asked to be moved to another hotel but received no help from easyjet. There is another hotel 5 minutes down the road and we spent most of our time there. It is also handy for the bus stop to Zakynthos which is nice and well worth a visit.

When u come up to hotel u realise yoyr so far away from everything and looks old worn out x but once u get in reception u get greeted with lovely big smile x hotel rooms are big and very clean x pool beautiful very cold and right next to beach water Is very clear little bit rocky x if u want quiet and lovely chill holiday then this is place x breakfast is lovely plenfull x staff amazing so are owners x there is bus stop outside to take u in to zikintjos and tsvili very nice ride x but only 4 busses a day so taxi back if your late for 20 euros little shop just outside by big grey hotel on the side x few taverns for meals not very nice I tryed them all go in to town better food x never had meal in night in hotel its what ever chef cooks plus drinks salad for 24 each x do nice pool food enjoyed it more that taverns x

I cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough! It was an amazing week from beginning to end! So friendly and helpful it felt like visiting family. Will return as soon as we can. Clean, peaceful, relaxing, beautiful gardens, private beach I could go on

This place is all about relaxing with wonderful staff and fantastic views ,this is Greece traditional Greece not your 5 star all-inclusive splash pools entertainment every night kind of place ,if this is your kind of holiday then this is not the place for you . Clean towels and bedding every day air-conditioning free very large room lots of hot water, ok not 4 star but this is Greece not Spain. Now for the food 😋 we loved not knowing what we would be eating for evening meal ,it's what's fresh that day and what the chef decides to cook, it surpassed our expectations and free wine or beer which was a great surprise. We will definitely be coming back to this little gem .

On arrival we were checked in by the owners daughter who was very friendly and helpful and showed part way to our room. First impressions were good as we had a reasonably large room which looked recently decorated and was very clean with a side sea view, bed was comfortable and the a/c worked ok. The pool bar was well stocked and a reasonable selection of bar snack which were averagely priced, the food was very good and large portions. . are 5 restaurants and a super market within a 5 to 15 min walk. We were B&b and there was the usual selection of breakfast items and we had an evening meal which was a set 4-course meal and was very nice but the dining area did feel a little like a canteen. The sun loungers are looking a little tired and they could do with some instructions for the a/c as you can easily change the settings without realising it but apart from that a nice hotel. If you want a quiet holiday next to the sea and some traditional restaurants this is an ideal place.

Well where to begin. OK on arrival we weren't sure we were in the right place. It looked run down and the shops which were at the front of hotel where closed down and worse for wear the paint was peeling and we wonder what we let ourselves in for. The sign for the hotel was so faded you could hardly see it. The reception area once inside was lovely and the owners daughter booked us in. She was lovely, actually all the staff were lovely. It was a beautiful location can't take that away from it. But that is where the good ends. We got to our room to be very disappointed, we had booked a superior room and what we got was definitely not superior it was very basic. With sheets that didn't fit the beds wardrobe neither of us wanted to hang our clothes in and no real drawers to put clothes in either . It had a kitchenette as you walked in the door again very basic and dated. The only equipment was 2 cups, 1 teaspoon and 2 very dirty glasses. Bathroom was clean but again falling apart and the window didn't shut it had no catch on(to be fair we did let them know and someone came straight away and put one on). It also regularly smelled bad. We went to speak to manager and asked for a different room but he told us he was fully booked ( although I'm not convinced of this as there was hardly anyone around the hotel the whole of the week) . Then he said he would try but didn't . We asked about a safe and was told there was in the room but we couldn't see it, he told there was definitely one in the wardrobe and said to look again. But didn't offer us the key to it( bit suspect) we returned to the room And moved pillows and stuff from wardrobe no safe. On our way out to dinner we return to reception and told him and he clearly knew there was not one there as he said his daughter would go buy one the next day. We had to ask for a kettle but we wouldnt have known they were available if one of the other guest hadnt told us you could. The rooms were cleaned daily and were had our sheets changed a couple of times during the week. There was a dirty old fashion chair in the room covered by a sheet which i presume was a 3rd bed but i wouldnt of wanted to sleep on there. There was a big crack in the full length mirror on the wardrobe door. We basically lived out of our suit cases for the week. The air con was very noisy but you had to have it on as it was so hot. It seems to leak water all over the patio so it was very wet in the morning. The out door furniture was very dated and rusty not nice at all and again uncomfortable so we had no where really to sit and relax even if wanted to. The light that hung from the ceiling was only attached by the actual wire the fitting was part way down the wire. The WiFi was rubbish you could only really get on the balcony and it was hity missy. We and booked dinner in restaurant that first night j ust for convenience really. It was 4 courses but you didn't have a choice the chef would cook set menu. (It was a surprise he said

We felt badly let down by TUI. On arriving, the outside looked very tired. If we'd see that online We would not have booked. We had a ground floor room that was so very basic+ outdated. A poor wardrobe/cupboard. No drawers apart from tiny bedsde drawer+ 2 small drawers under the dresser. Kitchen was pointless. A hob with no utensils/pans etc. No kettle. 2 sm cups,1 spoon+ 2 dirty glasses. Bathroom was ok except you could smell the drains. Bedroom had a phone which didn't work. Owner insisted it did. He also insisted there was a safe..there wasn't. After 2 days they went out+ bought 1. There was a chair with a sheet draped over. It was clean,thats probably the only plus. Mealtimes were strange. We only ate there twice. 4 courses,You did not have a choice. You got what you were given. Was just ok. The only actual thing this hotel has going for it was the location. Perfect. Right by the sea,very peaceful. Plenty of uncomfortable sunbeds. The bar was pleasant enough to sit in,staff were friendly,but no a**osphere,entertainment. Sometimes bit music. View looking out to the pool+ sea which was nice. We would not go back there. Very expensive for what it was. Disapointed TUI.
