Grapevines Hotel

My second visit to Grapevines and still a great place to stay. Andi, Dennis and the staff are all so very kind and helpful. I would recommend Grapvines to anyone. The best particularly as a sole traveller. Andi always has a ready smile and the rooms are kept clean by the ever busy Minerva.

My first time here and it ticked all the boxes. The Hotel is really charming, set just off of the beaten track, with clean fresh modern rooms (I had a deluxe) I chose just out of season and it was quiet which suited me, the demographic was largely my age group (50s 60s). I was only here for a few days and walked the area which is very beautiful. But the jewel in the crown has to be the owner and her family, they are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble Andi even warned me off of the Ouzo....I didn't listen 🤪 But her son Dionysos (I think I have that correct Dennis? 😄).... Interestingly the Greek god of wine reincarnated!! (ask him for a taster from his secret stash!)... He's a character 😄 ... he made me laugh, a man who has such a command of the English language he can take the mickey out of you in it 😄 I shall return...thank you so much you two, I loved it 😄

We had a nice stay at Grapevines, cannot comment on food as we didn't eat at the hotel with an exception of having breakfast on our second day which was ok. Our room was a decent size with a small kitchenet which we didn't use at all due to eating out. We did have a problem with our toilet (leak) on two different occasions but it got sorted out eventually by Theo ( owner's son). He was really lovely and helpful throughout our stay. As our transfer didn't leave until 6:30pm we were allowed to keep the room until then which was much appreciated. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We booked a very last minute week too Zante and ended up at Grapevines. We are so happy we did. What an absolute gem of a place. Set back off the main road tucked amongst grapevines and olive groves with the most stunning views of the mountains. This was our first holiday abroad in over 4 years and it did not disappoint. We received the warmest welcome from Andi and her sons and the lovely young man who worked in the snack bar. There were plenty of sun loungers and no one ever had to reserve with towels etc as you could get one any time of the day. The snack bar food was freshly cooked, absolutely delicious and really reasonably priced. I recommend the Greek yoghurt with fruit and honey! The room was spotlessly clean and although the shower was a bit small you soon got used to it. The shops, bar and restaurants are just a short walk down the track to the main road and the the beach just a bit further. You can do boat trips, train trips or hire a car or quad bike or just relax and do nothing at all. The Grapevine will offer a lovely peaceful setting and we can honestly say this is one of the best holidays we have ever had. Every single person we met over the week was friendly and always had time to stop for a chat. We cannot wait to come back again (and we would want to have the same room please!). Thank you so much 😊

We had a lovely stay at Grapevines, Andi and her son Dennis were so welcoming and helpful. Andi really helped and when we had a late flight on the day we left, she found a spare room for our cases and for us to have a shower as it was such a hot day. We stayed in the new apartment block, you ONLY get the new rooms if you BOOK DIRECT- it’s much better for the hotel if you book direct and not through agency so would suggest doing so. The pool is lovely and a lovely reasonable bar attached. Short walk to bars/ restaurants etc and 15 mins to the beach. Nice and quiet area away from main bars which we liked- but close enough to walk to. Thanks Andi and family for our stay!

The owner and her son’s are absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. There were however 3 ladies who were staying there who went out of their way to cause trouble. Andi the owner did everything that she could to accommodate their needs but alas they continued to be disrespectful especially in the bar where other guests were enjoying their own holiday!!! I would also like to point out to James that you don’t need to go through Danny’s hotel and past the rubbish bins in order to get to the Main Street where the bars and restaurants were located. Just turn left out of the hotel and then left again and you will find the Main Street. We booked again for next year while we were still there at this fabulous hotel and hope to see the other guests that we met especially Vicky and Anthony.

This is our 6th visit to Grapevines and this year we booked directly with Andi so that we could stay in the new rooms. The rooms are fantastic, light, airy, spacious and very comfortable. We love staying here the family are so friendly and welcoming - they must be doing something right as so many customers return year after year. It is immaculately clean everywhere, the food is good and cooked to order. We booked for next year whilst we were still there! Love it.

Lovely place, hidden gem. Andi and her boys were so welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Rooms are simple but very clean and functional. Very private and quiet yet within 5/10 mins walk you’re at the beach and plenty of tavernas nearby. Recommend a walk, approx 20 mins, to Alykes in the evening for food and return with a pony and carriage, 10 euros.

Once again, we had a fantastic holiday at the Grapevines Hotel. Andi and her sons were absolutely brilliant. We have already booked to go back next year. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to lots of marvellous restaurants and shops and the same to the beach. The Hotel also does wonderful food. We met some people who were also there with us last year and made some amazing new friends this year. We look forward to going again next year. We would like to thank Andi for the gift she gave us before we came home.
