We booked 3 rooms using credit card miles. When we showed up to check in, the concierge told us that the software had somehow messed up and booked the same room three times for the same night and that they had no comparable rooms available, so we would have to pay an additional $40/room to cover what they did have available. Our confirmation clearly showed that three rooms were booked and would be assigned at check-in. They took no responsibility for their “mistake” and would not consider a refund. My husband was on the phone with management for over 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue before we called our credit card company, who had a similar experience. It’s a beautiful hotel, but the city is full of beautiful hotels that aren’t trying to scam their guests. We’ll choose another in the future.
