"The room is warm and comfortable. There is a large living room for rest and chatting. The kitchen has bread, cereal, milk and fruit, so you can DIY your own breakfast. The landlord is very enthusiastic to introduce the room. There is a beautiful small garden."
"Motel was strategically located within walking distance to the main row of shop at Apollo Bay. The electric blanket was handy for a cold night. Check in and check out is a breeze. Highly recommended for a stop over at Apollo Bay."
"Must give all five stars!!! The room is clean, spacious and bright, and each of the three rooms has its own characteristics, especially suitable for family travel or friends. There is a lounge downstairs with free coffee. There is a supermarket outside, and you can walk to the beach and various restaurants. Even the local friends who accompanied me kept sighing that the hotel was perfectly chosen. In addition, I want to say that the owner is very friendly. I accidentally broke a plate and wanted to compensate, but the owner said to me very nicely: Don't worry, it's okay, no compensation is required. It warmed my heart instantly. I strongly recommend it to friends who come to the Great Ocean Road and Apollo Bay."
"A clean and spacious motel with all that was needed for a night away. The bathroom was ample size and there was additional space for meals and storage as well. Right on the foreshore in the heart of the action."
"Great location for a stopover on a Great Ocean Road trip! However the hotel had an unpleasant smell, which affect the overall experience. id this issue are addressed, it would be an even better stay!"
"It's a motel, so don't expect a four-star standard. Located facing Apollo Bay, the top-floor sea-view rooms boast a large balcony – perfect for watching the ocean during the day, stargazing at night, and listening to the waves. The room is well soundproofed; once the balcony door is closed, it becomes very quiet. However, the air conditioning in the living room was broken, and the hairdryer was also out of order. The two-bedroom apartment is spacious and comes with a kitchen and a washing machine. On the downside, no slippers or other toiletries were provided, though shower gel and shampoo were available. A significant portion of the room cost was covered by Ctrip points, which was a great perk."
"Perfect location to stayover after long drive from Sorento to Queenscliff to Apolo Bay. Recommend to have a good rest and continue the other half journey of Great Ocean Road the next day. Onsite parking available. Nice Apolo Bay seaview when having my breakfast😁😁"
"This hotel boasts a fantastic location along the Great Ocean Road, offering breathtaking views of Apollo Bay during the day. However, the heating system was insufficient—while the living room had heating, the bedroom lacked proper heating, leaving us feeling quite cold at night. Additionally, the bedroom curtains did not fully block out light, so bringing an eye mask is highly recommended for a good night's sleep. Despite these minor drawbacks, the scenic surroundings and convenient coastal access make it a decent stay for travelers exploring the area."
"This was one of the best yha we have stayed at. The room was bare but that is to be expected. The amenities, by contrast, were excellent: Two well appointed kichens with nice pans and plenty of space; A roof area and multiple living room areas; an herb garden and plenty of recycling areas; and the games and TV area looked brand new and not old and worn out . The kids enjoyed it and so did we. Highly recommended."
"We had a great stay at the Waterfront motor inn! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. It’s conveniently located right in the center of town, yet it’s also very quiet, so we were able to rest well. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. We had a wonderful time here and will definitely come back again!"

Very Good
DDabaoyidingThe owner is Chinese, which made communication easy, and the location is also good. However, the facilities are quite basic, feeling more like a guesthouse, so it's only suitable for a short 1-2 night stay.
EE0169****There are two new villas, each with its own entrance.
Self-service check-in, which is not visible on Ctrip's page
When I arrived that day, I found a message from the store asking me to check my mailbox.
QQ mailbox signal is not good and can't log in
I contacted customer service and the problem was solved quickly. The store also responded quickly.
In fact, I wanted to confirm before I left, but I didn’t find the store’s email address.
When you go to customer service, the robot will tell you to call the hotel's Internet number.
I hope people who order in the future will keep an eye out.
CChengzihetudouI live with two families of relatives in a total of four bedrooms, which can accommodate 8 people. There are two kitchens upstairs and downstairs. There is a partition on the first floor, which can be opened to form a complete set. It is nice to drive to the nearby supermarket to shop and cook some simple food by yourself. The hygiene is very clean and there are laundry facilities. It is very suitable for traveling with a large group of people.
PPidanmaomaoThe room is very satisfactory, the accommodation is convenient, there are shops and restaurants around, and the hotel is in a prime location.
EExploring our one precious worldWe stayed one night at the Sandpiper Motel in Apollo Bay during peak season. On the positive side, the room was exceptionally clean, and the embroidered details on the bedding, pillow slips, and face towel were a lovely touch that added a sense of care and thoughtfulness to the decor.
However, our stay was not without its issues. Room 5; Throughout the night, there was a persistent high-pitched noise whenever water was used in our block of rooms, which disrupted our sleep, not helpful if you are a light sleeper. This was particularly disappointing given the cost of over 500 NZD for one night.
Additionally, while the self-check-in process was efficient, the lack of any staff presence left the motel feeling impersonal and made it impossible to seek assistance when needed. For example, there was no way to address the plumbing issue or request additional items like more face towels during our stay.
While we appreciated the cleanliness and the attention to detail in the room design, these other factors made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
JJasonLu0920When I arrived at the hotel where Trip.com bought agoda... The granny who received me was nice, that is, the kitchen in the room smelled a bit big (because the room can be cooked in the big room, I am more sensitive to the smell), everything else is very good!
QQingmanqiantangThe room is very big, with a large bed in the outer room and two single beds in the inner room. There is a small kitchen, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, many tableware and a dining table. The bedding is very clean, the car is parked at the door, and it is very convenient to take the luggage. I like this kind of motel very much.
AAnonymous UserExcellent location for a stop by along the ocean road, 15 minutes drive to Apollo bay, quiet little property located at the foot of mountain and facing the sea, with fantastic ocean view and interesting rock and sand beach
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room of bay view is spacious with a small sitting room and all necessary utensils
People just need to bring necessary food and drink to cook for themselves as there is a bit distance from the town center
A little advice though: please provide air-conditioner for the accommodations as it’s pretty hot in summer in the room. It’s not comfortable and the guest cannot sleep well in the summer heat
AAnonymous UserStayed one night here during out roadtrip to 12 apostles.
Arrived late but managed to self checked in. Easy and convenient. Room was super impressive for the price that we paid.
There are several eateries just minutes away from our motel, and about 3 ‘mins walk to the beach front.
Would definitely recommend!
GGuest UserThe environment is amazing. The store upgraded us to a view room for free. However, the navigation was not very accurate at first. After arriving, just contact the front desk and wait for the receptionist. 🙂
