Portavadie Loch Fyne Scotland

The luxury apar**ents are tremendous. View right over the marina. Very well equipped. Even had a sauna. Three balconies. Expensive though. But it was a treat visit. Food and service were good and very good. If you are a doggy person you will be delighted they let dogs in the restaurant. Personally, I find that disgusting but each to their own.

We stayed for one night and the experience was absolutely brilliant. The check in staff were attentive and professional and the food and beverage team were absolutely bang on with their service and so polite. Wonderful Jenny! We are already planning to make Portavadie a regular feature but we will stay for longer this time. We also loved our spa experience.

Second stay at this fabulous resort, the studio apar**ent was perfect for our three night escape and had everything required for a self catering break ( except pot lids?) accommodation was super clean and nice outside furniture on the patio for alfresco dining in the perfect weather we were blessed with. The leisure facilities are amazing and the surrounding countryside is great for walking and cycling. All the staff we encountered were warm, friendly and efficient and we can’t wait to return.

Had an amazing two day stay in a Luxury Townhouse Apar**ent. Apar**ent fully equipped. Loads of towels and storage. Fantastic balcony overlooking the Marina. Great place to sit with a glass of wine watching the activity. Whole resort is lovely. Staff very friendly. Outdoor Infinity pool was amazing must try !!.. If I have one point of note.....the resort is very Eco Friendly with Air Source Heat pumps and Biomass boilers but no EV car charging points. I did charge up at Tighnabrauich which is about 5 miles away but would have been handy if there had been one at the resort. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so good.

Upon arrival we proceeded to the check in and were checked in by one of your staff. She was explaining to us where our room was located etc. I clearly misread as I thought the check out time for the Superior Lodge was 11.30 and before I could finish the boy Conner next to the young lady jumped in rudely and unpleasantly said that it was 11am and that was the latest check out and could not be changed. I said that the young lady was more than capable of dealing with our check in. We were not insisting on this, I'd simply misread the email and it was not a problem. All this did was get us off to a bad start and we left with a bad taste. A smile or two at reception which is the first port of contact would not go a miss either. Our Superior Lodge was lovely. However behind the fridge, there was some rubbish from the previous guest. Not great. The bathroom is outdated with the shower screen over the bath and the shower itself poor. The use of space could be so much better and more luxurious. The accommodation is not cheap. We had booked ahead for dinner and for the leisure facilities. Due to weather etc we didn't get to the leisure centre until around 3.15. We had booked for 2.30. Once again, no smile, no warm welcome. We were told that if we went in, we'd need to be out by 4pm other wise we could wait. I appreciated there is a system and we went into the gym till 4 but it is just the lack of warmth and welcome that was missing. I used the toilets in the leisure changing room area and the young girl simply walked in, signed the sheet to say that the facilities had been checked and walked out without checking anything. We expected a better standard from this place. We emailed Portavadie. We were advised that it would be passed on to the Manager. I suspect it was not as we never received a response a month later.

We had a fabulous weekend at Portavadie. Visiting as a party of 9 we had a 2 and 3 bedroom luxury apar**ents which were located next to each other. They were beautifully fitted out and spotlessly clean. Perfect location on the boardwalk with plenty of social space to accommodate us all and amazing outlook over the marina. The restaurant is nicely fitted out has a perfect location overlooking the marina. We had dinner and breakfast which were both really good and staff were helpful and attentive. We went to the spa twice which is amazing with stunning views across to tarbert. Was also spotlessly clean and well laid out. Can't wait to return !!

My 1st return visit with my son for a bit of R and R and we were not disappointed. We stayed as always in the self catering apar**ents which are always pristine cleaned and impecably presented. We had 3 wonderful days the highlight of which for my son was the hot pools over looking the loch and hills The weather was fantastic which made the views absolutely spectacular. Lastly a big shout out to all staff who are always very friendly and professional catering to all our needs and requests. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

We are just back from a Three night stay in one of their Luxury Apar**ents. We received a warm welcome and ours was available before the time given. We ate all of our meals on site, dinners are fantastic quality. The fish and chips, scallops were awesome along with the new curry options. We booked our times for our meals and spa facilities and everything ran like clockwork. The bed we had was actually more comfortable than the one we have at home and all of the staff were very helpful, we had a quick preview of the new huts that are going to be let out from June and I would imagine they will be well received with the wonderful views over the loch. If you want a break to relax and depart with a big grin on your face feeling totally cared for then this is the place !!

One of the most picturesque places I've ever been. We stayed in a Lodge room. Was very spacious and clean. Everything you need in a room. Facilities were great. Restaurant had plenty choice for all tastes. Swimming pool and gym were great. Lounging outside in the heated infinity.pool makes you feel very special. The views are had to describe in words.
