Very nice old hotel Worth staying

We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Situated right at the centre of historic Bakewell, it makes a great base for exploring Chatsworth, Haddon etc. The front of house service is second to none. The owner bent backwards to engage with our little boy and make him/us feel welcome. Our room was enormous and the bed super comfy. There is paid parking just across the road. We booked dinner elsewhere and the food was abysmal. We arrived back at the hotel and even though the kitchen was due to close, the owner and chef kindly whipped up something for us to eat. Customer care really sits at the heart of this hotel. We’re only sorry we only booked to stay one night. We’ll absolutely book again next time we’re in the area

Cross the village from behind the hotel and walk to the beautiful Darcy Manor in 10 minutes. Breakfast is buffet and order. The taste is not bad. Most of the occupants are old people. Did not see the child.
