Zermatt Hotels with Balcony

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

The location is super convenient, 10 minutes walk to the downtown business district, it is also very convenient to go to the train station, too friendly to passengers traveling across countries ～ The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the sound insulation effect is excellent, and it is too important to sleep well after a long flight. The staff is warm and professional, the English communication is smooth, and the local travel tips are also intimate. The breakfast is rich in variety, taking into account Chinese and Western tastes, and even the light meals that the baby can eat. The price is super high, I will choose next time, recommend it to friends who have travel or bring baby needs!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming small hotel, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near Zermatt train station. During my stay, a snowstorm caused a power outage and all train services were suspended, making it impossible to leave the town. Despite these unexpected circumstances, the hotel took excellent care of us. They provided helpful information, allowed us to extend our stay without any additional charges, and showed incredible kindness throughout. The hotel owner was especially warm and accommodating, making a difficult situation much easier for us. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt.

The stay would be ideal if the room included a fan, as it can feel a bit stuffy while sleeping during the summer. The location is convenient, and the kids' club, spa, and pool offer plenty of fun for the children.

I stayed at Hotel Parnass during my time in Zermatt, and it proved to be a very convenient and comfortable base for exploring the town and surrounding mountains. The location is one of its biggest strengths. The hotel is right in the centre of Zermatt, meaning you’re within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and key attractions. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk from the train station, which is ideal when arriving with luggage or heading out early for mountain excursions. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. It had a cosy, alpine feel that suits Zermatt perfectly, and it provided a good place to relax after a day out in the mountains. Breakfast was included in my stay, and it was a great way to start the day. Having breakfast on site makes mornings much easier, especially if you’re planning an early start for skiing, hiking, or taking one of the mountain railways. From a practical perspective, the central location means you can easily access lifts, train connections, and walking routes without needing any additional transport. Everything feels close by, which is a big advantage in a destination like Zermatt. I would highly recommend Hotel Parnass for anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable hotel in Zermatt. It’s a great option if you want to be in the heart of the town with easy access to everything while still enjoying a relaxed alpine atmosphere.

Location – 10/10 Nestled high above Zermatt, the Riffelhaus 1853 is accessible via the Gornergrat railway, making the journey itself an adventure. Once you arrive, you’re greeted by panoramic mountain views in every direction, with the iconic Matterhorn standing proudly in front of you. The setting is perfect for ski-in/ski-out access in winter and stunning hiking trails in summer. Rooms – 9/10 The rooms are cozy, modern, and well-equipped while still maintaining a classic Swiss alpine charm. Many rooms come with Matterhorn views, and waking up to this scenery is an experience in itself. The beds are comfortable, and the rustic wooden decor gives a warm, welcoming feel. Some rooms have balconies, which I highly recommend booking for the full experience. Service – 9/10 The staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Despite the hotel’s remote location, the service is top-notch, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. From seamless check-in to helpful local recommendations, they make the stay even more special. Dining – 8.5/10 The on-site restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine, including traditional dishes like fondue and rösti. The breakfast is generous, featuring fresh bread, cheeses, meats, and eggs cooked to order. The only downside is that, due to the remote location, dining options are limited to the hotel restaurant, but the quality makes up for it. Wellness & Spa – 10/10 The outdoor hot tub with a view of the Matterhorn is an absolute highlight! There’s also a sauna and steam bath, perfect after a day of skiing or hiking. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks is an experience worth every penny. Activities – 10/10 Winter: Perfect for skiing, as the hotel is directly on the slopes. The ski room is convenient, and the access to the Gornergrat ski area is unbeatable. Summer: Incredible hiking trails with direct access to the Gornergratbahn for easy excursions to higher altitudes.

Location was right in the middle of the city, super convenient! Nearby the Zermatt main station, as well as Gornergrat station! Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc. the receptionist was warm and friendly and even extended us for an early check in when rooms are available. The hotel was overall very cozy and clean, suitable for a short stay. The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

Hands down, this was one of my absolute favorite places during my trip to Switzerland. Highly recommend if you're visiting Zermatt! Definitely make sure to book a room with a Matterhorn view. The breakfast was generally good, though it could have used a bit more fresh fruit. Plus, having a microwave and water dispenser in the basement was a great perk that helped us save money on bottled water.

We love the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the balcony of our room gave us a clear view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is easily accessible from the Zermatt train station and the Town centre . We loved the room allocated and found it extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet which was pretty extensive. Staff was really pleasant and helpful at all time. Our receptionist even escorted us to the room by stairs because their lift was not functional when we checked in. The only regret was that we were unable to utilise the sauna and swimming pool facilities due to time constraints. Will highly recommend the hotel to those who are looking for value for money stays whilst in Zermatt.

Overall, it is very convenient to be separated from the train station by a road. Go to the lively area to eat. The subway is three to four stops away. 🏨 I chose a triple room, just stayed in 😂 and gave us a barrier-free room (and the feeling of a domestic nursing home, the wall has yellow liquid rolling down, the bedside has a red block decisively contacted the front desk to change the room, and the room was slightly smaller!
