Guest UserThe Manila Hotel has an old but elegant and luxurious style. Marble and stone finishing, tall ceilings and a grand piano at the back with a musician playing pleasant music greets you as you walk through the entrance.
Lacking points from my personal experience:
1. The carpet floors need to be replaced. I had to change rooms because the first room I got had an unpleasant smell to it (they quickly changed my room after I went to the reception, so it wasn't terrible) and although I didn't notice until the end of my stay, the new room's carpet was frayed at the edges.
2. The night mode of the lights (many switches) completely cuts power to the power outlets. I didn't know and ended up waking up to a phone and power bank with a dying battery and needing to stay in the hotel a couple of hours until they finished charging. Maybe just a warning in the future?
The good parts:
1. The service! People are SO accommodating, pleasant and efficient. Reception staff, waiters, bell boys and basically everyone greets you with a smile and tries to solve any problems with utmost focus and cordiality.
2. Traditional pride. Traditional fashion exhibition at the front was a great touch to my visit. The whole place (restaurants, pools, spa, rooms, etc) add to the experience. I could have stayed in the hotel and felt like I hadn't missed Manila's charm.
3. Excellent location. I realised early on that I could literally see every single thing from my ”1 day tour of Manila” from my hotel room. Nothing says great location like this.

Excellent service! Great environment! And for someone like me who doesn't speak English, the presence of a handsome young man speaking Chinese at the front desk made for a fantastic stay.

Guest UserI recently stayed at City Garden Suites and would like to share both a commendation and some constructive feedback regarding my experience.
First, I would like to highly commend Ms. Zsan for her outstanding service. After being assigned to a room that, while clean, had an unpleasant odor, I approached the front desk again for assistance. Ms. Zsan handled the situation with genuine care and professionalism. She went beyond simply checking the system—she actively coordinated with housekeeping via radio to personally verify room availability. Her initiative, attentiveness, and willingness to help truly define excellent customer service. She made us feel heard and valued, and her dedication reflects the kind of frontline service that leaves a lasting positive impression.
On the other hand, I would like to offer constructive feedback regarding my experience with Ms. Acel. As a guest, first impressions matter, and my initial interaction with her during check-in was not very reassuring. When I inquired about the possibility of being assigned to a newly renovated room, I was informed that none were available, without much effort to further check or explore options. This gave me the impression that my request was not fully considered.
The following day, when I needed to extend my stay, I spoke with her over the phone and requested an update regarding my concern, emphasizing the urgency as I needed to secure the current room rate online. However, after waiting for around 30 minutes without any callback, I had to follow up myself. During the follow-up, she asked for details I had already communicated earlier, which made it seem like the information was not properly noted or attended to.
On the third day, I needed to extend my booking again. To avoid the same experience, I went directly to the front desk. Unfortunately, she was again the one available. Despite my previous experience, I still chose to give her another chance, hoping for a better interaction. However, the experience remained the same. Because of this, instead of extending my stay further, I decided to transfer to another hotel.
I hope this feedback is received constructively. Frontline staff play a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience. While Ms. Zsan demonstrated exceptional service and professionalism, there is an opportunity for improvement in consistency, attentiveness, and proactive assistance. With the right focus on these areas, guest satisfaction can be greatly enhanced.

Guest UserProfessional and efficient reception staff.
The apartment is spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed, but slightly uncomfortable pillows.
Air conditioner is a bit noisy, but does its job.
Great swimming pool — well maintained and quiet. The staff who works there are helpful and pleasant.
Location is convenient— 2 mins walk from Robinsons Place mall and a short grab ride from the old town — fort and casa Manila, or a 30 mins walk. Also, it’s a short walk from the beach.
Grab is great to move around the city and go to/from the airport— very affordable and convenient.
I’d definitely stay again.

The overall place is decent, however, the linen cover seems to have already been used due to its pungent odour. Every time we asked for room service, it just made the whole room smell worse as the mop used to clean the room likely had not been changed or cleaned. There was even a time when the cleaner took the money that had been left out in the open by the table, although we were going to tip anyway, it is just concerning that they’d take whatever money’s left out without having prior knowledge of whether the money is going to be given. What if it had been someone else's money or a larger amount than usual?

So, i came to manila alone. Hoping to have a good time. Spent 28 days in this hotel and explored the surronunding areas. By the end of the trip i met my babae and we where having a good time. Long story short... the hotel was well worth the money, as the view was great and my girl got pregnant. So, its a lucky room i guess too. You pay for all the amenaties.
That was one down point but other than that it was fine and i had good nights/late night fun.. come and try it for yourself.

Guest UserOur stay was excellent and truly felt like home. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the complete amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen with utensils, which made our stay even more convenient. It is perfect for families, offering plenty of comfort and space at an affordable price. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of Manila Bay from the balcony, which made our mornings and evenings even more relaxing. Overall, it provided great value for money, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, family-friendly, and budget-friendly place to stay.

Anonymous UserI booked a fan room and checked in at 2 PM. The staff asked if I wanted to pay extra to upgrade to an air-conditioned room. Only after they showed me the rooms did I understand why. The fan rooms face west and get blasted by the afternoon sun, while the air-conditioned rooms are situated where they don't get direct sunlight. This comparison pretty much forces you to pay for the upgrade, as the fan simply can't compete with that intense heat. It feels like this is their business strategy, a veiled way to charge more, especially since other places offer AC rooms at this price point.

Stay was Great. Hotel is walking distance to Robinsons Palace Mall. Exit the hotel and take a right and walk straight down, and you're there. Need a massage to relieve the days tension, a variety of shops to choose from. Clubs/bars pick your place to chill and relax.

LEEGood location for nightlife.
The view from the balcony is also good.
Good thing, these two are the end.
The interior of the building is very old because it is unmanaged.
There are many Chinese people inside the building, so it is inconvenient to use the elevator.
It's particularly annoying when I use it at mealtimes.
Room condition is special. I used to buy toiletries personally.
The bottom line .... I thought it would be better to stay at the hotel to add to this money.
