I accidentally discovered a camping-style homestay and was attracted by the realistic indoor environment. What's more rare is that this homestay is pet-friendly and I booked it decisively. I stayed for two days and was full of surprises. First of all, the layout of the room is really outdoor, especially the lighting at night, large-leaf plants plus succulents, and watching movies with a projector adds to the atmosphere. Sleeping in a bed with a tent made me understand why dogs like to sleep in a semi-enclosed nest. It feels really safe. In the room, you can take a lot of camping-style photos. The bathroom is very clean, and the shower gel and shampoo are lemongrass-flavored, very refreshing. The second surprise, and the biggest surprise, is the food in the homestay. Whether it is coffee, mulled wine, or various Western meals, they are surprisingly delicious. I really hope that the boss will open a restaurant in the city. If you go there specifically for food, it is also worth it. There is also the hotel's sunken cinema, which has screen movies every night, which is very interesting and takes pictures. The overall experience is super five-star, the food is a plus, and the boss's attitude towards dogs is even more a plus!

B&Bs around Beijing can be roughly divided into several categories, including team building (many facilities), parent-child (many entertainment), couples (photogenic), farmhouse (barbecue), mountain view, private hot spring (in recent years, there has been a surge in private hot spring-themed hotels and B&Bs). After flipping through them, they are either boring, rough, or impetuous.
I was really very satisfied with this trip to the jungle, and unexpectedly experienced a day of isolated natural life.
1️⃣ Pure natural environment, several rooms basically face the mountains and forests, without too many artificial traces, and are not intended for ”photogenic”.
2️⃣ Room interior furniture - simple and refined, the taste of furniture interior is very high and of quality. It is not a rough but photogenic soft furnishing for ”photogenic”.
3️⃣ Because it was officially opened at the beginning of 24 years, all facilities are in good maintenance~
4️⃣ The privacy is very good, the door is always kept closed, and the owner needs to open and close it in person when entering and exiting. If you bring your kids, you can let them play in the yard and on the mountain trails~
5️⃣The most important point!!! It really feels like you are in a secluded mountain~ There is no TV in the room, nor is there a particularly fast Wi-Fi, but there are many books provided, and you can feel the owner's intentions - providing an environment where you can calm down and immerse yourself in nature.
6️⃣A small coincidence surprised me - there are several original books in the owner's bookcase, which happen to be my top 3 favorites ”Gone with the Wind” and ”The Three Musketeers”, and it just so happens that my mother bought me these two original English books when I was a child🥳🥳 I feel very happy about this little coincidence~🤓🤓🤓
7️⃣Try to bring some food with you, hahahaha It's not easy to order takeout around here.
This visit was very short, and I will definitely come again in the future.
In addition, I saw two bosses this time. One was from Fujian, polite, considerate and attentive; the other was a cold-faced uncle, either staring at the mountain or playing with drones, but he was actually very enthusiastic when he spoke🤣
The staff sister was also very nice, gentle and warm~
Looking forward to staying longer next time🥰🥰🥰

Very good homestay, the scenery outside the window is beautiful, the interior decoration is also very exquisite, it can be seen that the owner is a person who pays attention to details and has good taste, the soft furnishings and hard furnishings in the room are very good. The location is very close to the Longqingxia Scenic Area, it takes ten minutes to drive, and there will be no traffic jams! The three of us booked a big bed room with a terrace. The room was very large. There was a coffee table and two chairs on the terrace. Bathe in the sun, blow the evening breeze, and look at the stars in the night sky. The children said that the stars they saw here were very bright, a lot, and they saw it in the city. It feels different! The small courtyard facilities are very complete, there are swings, children climb the wall, and the swimming pool is also immediately activated! The boss is also very good, we barbecue to help me catch fire, get charcoal, tell us where to buy the meat is good, in short, stayed for two nights, the child still did not stay enough! Said to come again next holiday!

The staff at this guesthouse is very kind and helpful. They took really good care of us and any requests we had. They were great about communicating and being prompt. We hadn’t brought lunch, but they gave us a link to order food from. The food arrived within 15 minutes and was fresh and delicious. We brought other food to grill on the BBQ provided at our room. My lighter died and they promptly brought me a new one. They also locked our gate for us when we forgot to do it.
The hotel is about a 20-minute drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, so the location is perfect if you want to do some cultural exploring.
The villa we rented was very well equipped with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a half bathroom with a toilet and sink. The bathtubs/springs were great for soaking in. The swimming pool is not deep, however, so don’t expect to “swim”. It’s a nice little area to cool off in though, if the weather is hot. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals and clean up.
The beds were very comfortable. Overall, the room is very clean. However, I did find a few stray hairs in one of the bathrooms when we first arrived.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It was a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful stay.
The hotel is located on the east bank of Yanqi Lake in Huairou District, Beijing, with a total area of 36824 square meters and a building area of 52687 square meters. The hotel has a 500 meter long shoreline and a view of the lake at an angle of over 270 degrees. The water and sky are of the same color, and the four seasons are picturesque. As an excellent scenic spot for the Qihu Hotel, the "Three Courtyards and Five Courtyards" area is an unmissable scenic viewing area: the "Four Sided Hall", "Water Cloud Pavilion", and "Lake Light Pavilion" are unforgettable; Embracing apricots, basking in the sun, exploring Canglan, creating a unique atmosphere for guests on their journey, the comfortable and tranquil lakeside road is truly enchanting. Qihu Hotel pays attention to every design detail, creating a guest experience with the beauty of Eastern charm. Multiple exclusive room amenities can meet their unique needs; Digital intelligent services will make guests' stay experience more interactive and enjoyable!

I was a little nervous when I saw the bad reviews when booking the room, but I still came for the good reviews. When I checked in, the service staff saw that I had difficulty walking (I fractured the talus in my foot 4 months ago), and enthusiastically helped to upgrade the lake view room near the elevator. Thank you very much for this kindness! The layout and design of the room are very modern, and the sun shines in the room on cold winter days, ”warming the heart and living forever”! Because there are few people in the off-season, the hotel is directly connected to the Yanqi Lake. We are lucky to enjoy the beautiful sunset and the booming sunrise, away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a rare tranquility! Qihu Hotel is worth staying in many times👍
Elegant environment with soothing music, friendly and considerate service, I hope to keep it as always, fully intelligent voice control, free parking at the door, and free office computers and printers to solve your urgent needs! There are many room types and high configuration. Five-star recommendation!

GGuest UserWe loved this beautiful little hotel. Amazing service (special mention to the ladies Yanglu & Ludan who were super helpful). Even though the staff didn’t speak English, they used translators and ensured that all our requests were met (including helping us order food delivery). The breakfast includes options for everyone. Rooms are well kept and super clean. The location was perfect as it’s within walking distance of so many eateries and sights. They have a lovely Lego table at the reception which kept my kids entertained and offer free laundry service.

GGuest UserThe environment is very good, there are many shops around, it is very convenient to go anywhere, the hotel is fully equipped, the service is good, and the environment is hygienic. The decoration is very elegant, the sound insulation effect is very good, it is a quality accommodation choice
MMilkytea LeeNeed to compliment the service staffs here, very helpful and kind, especially Ms Su. She helped us double check our train tickets. We didn't have local number so the staffs also help to use their personal phone to do food ordering for us. We have some parcels sent to the hotel and had some issues, the frontdesk also help to talk to logistic people to arrange them to resend the correct item. All in all I will come back just for the service staffs. Located near train station which is nearby alot of attractions.
JJulia CLWe got confused after we checked in and noticed that there wasn't a door into the bathroom. Called the housekeeping, and they informed that the door was removed because it was spoilt. I think its rather irresponsible to not inform beforehand. The room was changed after complaining. The new room, not sure if it's because it's winter, it's like a sauna in the room! Even the corridor is cooler than the room! There is nothing we can do to adjust the temperature and with the direct sunlight shining in, it just makes it worse.
During checking in, I enquired about some day tours but the front office staff couldn't give much information. Generally, the staff are not very enthusiastic and friendly.
The plus point is the location. It is about 5 mins walk from Xidan metro station. Lots of food and shopping around the hotel.
PphottigimathThe service was really good. We enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly. It is very near to the railway station, so it was really convenient. I should really appreciate the cleanliness, the rooms and the bathrooms were extremely clean. It was an amazing stay. All the staff did a really great job. Extremely happy.
PS: the receptionist was very handsome. So extra happy😁
LLLL...Go straight out of the hotel lobby door, turn right to go to the nearest metro station/exit which is Zhushikou. Turn left to eat and shop at the famous Qianmen street and also other hutongs/alley. Totally worth it. Plus, there’s a Luckin coffee and Lawson opposite the hotel. Really convenient!
They kept the room really clean. There are some complaints about the drainage smell which there really is in the toilet but you will get used to it and eventually it will disappear as you take shower.
Overall it was a very good experience and nice place. The staffs were friendly and helpful.
Remember to clean the filter of the dryer if you wish to use it. As it’s quite dusty but I think people rarely use it anyways so I am fine with it. I even helped them clean and wash the dust away.
Anyways, I will definitely book again if I come back to Beijing. 💯

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel with my family and it was an absolute delight! This place is a haven for families seeking comfort and convenience. The room was incredibly spacious, allowing us to move around comfortably. My son was over the moon with the bathtub – it was a definite highlight of his stay!
One standout feature was the presence of two bathrooms, which proved to be a game-changer in terms of convenience. No more morning rush hour! I must give a special shout-out to the desk guy, Leo, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. His excellent service truly made a difference.
The location is also a major plus – surrounded by numerous restaurants, we were spoiled for choice when it came to dining options. It's a huge relief not having to venture far for a delicious meal.
All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations and provided us with a fantastic family experience. We'll definitely be returning on our next visit!
YYour_mr_aIt is good hotel to spend couple of days and then leave it. Location is okay a bit far from Subway but you can deal with that. Room is very warm and good except that everything is old. Before you book you must make sure that where you book, Hotel have two different building one have elevator and another does not which mean you need to go to 3,4,5,6 floor by your own after very tired day. They charge us 150rmb for the room where elevator located. Corridors a bit smelly. Don’t buy the breakfast!!! It’s the worst breakfast in my life !!! Except egg you can’t eat anything. There is no restaurant in the building where you stay, reception give you coupons and you need to go the restaurant in opposite side of hotel where restaurant located. If you order more then 20rmb they’ll charge you more. But I’m sure you can’t eat anything except eggs. This hotel for tuff travelers who can survive without what others a bit expensive hotel can offer.
GGuest UserHotel was about 15-20 min walk to the subway station, which consider pretty far. Not like what other review says it's within minutes walk. Will be difficult if you're pushing heavy luggage. Do take note that nearest station is DongZhimen station which by far, I've not found any elevator nor downward escalator, which will make it difficult when going to airport by subway train. There should be one downward escalator somewhere but eventually we decided to take a cab down which takes about $160 yuan for a 6 seater. A lot of eateries around the hotel area and a pharmacy next door which makes it convenient if touch wood , any co-traveller falls sick. But not a very friendly pharmacist there.
Our hotel room is the bigger one with projector with movies. Just need to use WeChat app to scan to access.
Basic stuff provided in the hotel. Anything else, you have to ask , eg shaver, or floss etc but no safe and fridge , wardrobe though.
There is a Korean restaurant in the hotel which makes it convenient if you decide not to dine out.
Customer service wise, housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, accommodating our request here and there. Except one day-shift front desk who is not too helpful nor friendly. Sometimes when we asked for extra bottles of water or tissue packs, she would be reluctant and ask for our room number to keep track of our usage. As my co-travellers caught a flu in between, we need more tissues. At one time, when I asked for two more packs of tissues, in the end she came up to tell me hotel run out of tissue and can only give me one pack, the rest is toilet rolls. But when later, I approach the housekeeping staff, the cleaner lady gladly handed me what I needed. Too bad I didn't know the name of the unfriendly front desk. But she's the smaller built size one.
On the contrary, one night shift front desk is to totally extremely helpful and friendly, she goes by the name ”Xiao Li staff number 000”. As my co-travellers fall sick in the middle of the night, running fever and catching cold and cough, I have nowhere to buy medication. She helped me to order online with ”mei tuan” which we foreigners have no way to order unless with a local number. She even offered me more water and tissue packs without me requesting. The next early morning, when I walked past the reception to get my breakfast, she even asked how my co-travellers are doing and whether they recovering. On the day of departure, she helped me with the booking of a cab to airport and gave me a few pointers going to airport. Her presence make me gives an extra star to this hotel. She is definitely the best staff in the hotel.
Overall, if you are travelling alone or with adults companion, this hotel is considered decent but with children, you may want to be prepared to walk more or take a cab to any of your destinations.
DDr. Julio BernalWe love this hotel for the location and the size of the room. The place is very luxurious but one thing that can be improved is the temperature for the rooms. They over used the heater and we had to ask to lower it. It still felt too warm. We asked them to open the room window but still it was too hot. The breakfast was very good with some room for improvement. The buffet looked cramped in an area of the restaurant. The location of some of the items wasn’t the most strategically. For instance, to grab some fruit you have to be practically on top of other items of the salad bar. People could literally breath on top of the food. Overall this hotel is great but it needs a major upgrade in the rooms and the wet area of the gym/pool. The showers there need some work. The steam room wasn’t working. Only the dry sauna worked. It need better cleaning as well
