The room is very spacious. When I checked in, I was told that there would be noise from renovations during the day, but I didn't hear any. The soundproofing was good. The bathroom and washbasin were very clean without any odor. The breakfast was very good. There is a Haidilao restaurant downstairs.
This hotel is a small germ if you consider your stay at Beijing. Yes, it is a bit outside of the main city but the traffic connections towards the inner parts of Beijing is still reasonable. It is a rather quiet place to have a couple of days with the focus on relaxing when you have only a few things to do in Beijing. The set-up with a kind of traditional house structure - only two floors, square shaped outlying of the building, provides a rather friendly and easy to go feeling. The facilities are well maintained and the fountains in the central yard provide a nice addition together with the hot spring tubes. The surrounding of the artificial lake provides a nice atmosphere. Some visitors may regret that the area surrounding the hotel does not offer much. The stuff are well trained and carry out their tasks with the friendliness expected from a hotel at this level. I summary, I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a couple of relaxing days if you have to stay in Beijing and do not have a busy schedule at the same time.

The hotel was apparently in a bathhouse. It is located in the outskirts of Beijing, but a good choice to visit the Great Wall of China when you stay here. The English language is not spoken by the reception, so be prepared to used a translation app. You have to walk through the bathhouse facilities to go to your room. Shops or restaurant aren't that available in the proximity of the hotel. The bathhouse facilities comprises of hot baths (2 for men, 1 for women), a sauna for both and in the communal area you can get free fruits and that's about it. For the price a good option.

I have to give a thumbs up to the hotel, especially Xiao Ou from the customer service center, who is very attentive and patient. Because my colleague's itinerary was adjusted and changed twice, he booked and then cancelled, which resulted in no room in the end. Xiao Ou took the initiative to communicate and coordinate, and finally booked a room again. The previous room fee was also refunded through communication with Ctrip. She is very dedicated. The hotel is also comfortable to stay in, and I recommend everyone to stay.

The housekeeper carefully guided the check-in process. We went to Universal Studios to play in the morning. There were many choices of time in the morning. We came to pick us up from time to time at night. Let us play with peace of mind. There are magic robes and cooperative and interactive genuine magic wands. You can help contact the rental of the homestay. It is very comfortable. Add service is also intimate. The surrounding supermarket is a few hundred meters away. It is also convenient. I will choose here again. I will recommend it to my friends.

Magical place that we wanna visit again!!!
The staff were very helpful throughout the stay. Place was spacious, clean and neat, bed was comfortable, which was important for travellers to rest adequately 🤗 at night we could even see the clear starry sky and did Stargazing at the courtyard.
The breakfast was beautifuly presented and delicious too. The cafe visit is a must. There was a mini farmyard there where there were 3 goats that guests were freely playing with and touching. The setup and deco were so beautiful that you will end up spending hours there taking pictures or admiring the views. Many locals seem to visit the cafe for the food and beautiful aesthetics as well. The coffee were beautifully presented - and I didn't expect they will taste so good! The mix were refreshing and simply awesome.
Location was very ideal too. Convenient to the Great wall entrance - took about 5min by taxi.
Overall happy with my stay here, and I'd definitely recommend it to all travellers! This is the best place we've stayed in our trip to Beijing. Simply beautiful and magical.

This time I stayed at Beifei Garden Great Wall View Private Hot Spring B&B, the experience was so good that it was beyond my imagination. I have to praise it!
Manager Tan of the B&B showed full professionalism and enthusiasm from the moment we checked in. Recommended fun attractions, all well organized. He always gives warm reminders in advance about the weather conditions and meal times.
The room service is also particularly worthy of praise! They delivered water and fruit, and asked if the room facilities were functioning properly and if there was anything else they could help with. I am really grateful to my two sisters. The hotel has an excellent geographical location, right near the scenic spot. By opening the balcony door, you can enjoy the leisure time in the sun room and the private hot spring. The hotel takes great photos. I am not photogenic, but I took a lot of great photos. It was really beautiful and I had an extremely wonderful travel memory.
Great Wall Station Castle Boutique Hotel | Where Landscapes Become Your Pillow and History Your Bedfellow
Nestled among the peaks kissed by the first dawn light of Mutianyu Great Wall, Great Wall Station Castle Boutique Hotel awaits poetic souls with mountain ridges as its pillow and cloud seas as its canopy. This 5,000-square-meter stone castle, crafted by China's premier design team, lies merely a 5-minute walk from the Great Wall entrance. Serving as both a gateway to Jiankou Great Wall and Hongluo Temple, it emerges as a cultural sanctuary for urbanites seeking spiritual repose.
Embracing the "vessel of time" concept, designers harmoniously blend Ming Dynasty brick textures with smart home technologies. Twenty-four themed guest rooms stand as 24 crystallized poems - where old elm wood beams whisper centuries-old tales, custom lighting etches mountain silhouettes, and window frames transform the Great Wall's seasonal vistas into living murals. Each century-old furnishing, carefully curated by heritage restoration experts, breathes new life into contemporary spaces.
Redefining boutique hospitality, the castle creates multidimensional experiences:
• Sip wine under star-strewn skies on rooftop terraces overlooking serpentine battlements
• Immerse in Ming-Qing era intrigues through basement-level LARP experiences
• Survey the dragon-like wall's majesty via helicopter tours
• Corporate teams strategize in boardrooms before transitioning to open-air grill parties
• Families bond through playground laughter and curated parent-child activities
"True Great Wall immersion resides not beneath your feet, but within your heart." Through its humanistic warmth, this mountain-encircled temporal gateway invites guests to trace historical imprints while constructing their own spiritual fortifications. Here at the crossroads of eras, we await to co-create your contemporary rendition of "Spring Mountains in View" - an oriental poetic gathering for modern times

The room was beautiful, large, clean and nicely decorated.
The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from the ticket office of the Mutianyu Great Wall.
The staff were all friendly and very helpful (communication was mostly via “google translate”)
It was a good stay, and I would recommend it for anybody visiting the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Must give praise, why? We booked the room and navigated to the door a little lost, thinking that the booking was wrong, very low-key. Discussing and looking at if it is not good, unsubscribe and find another place to live. I watched it on the spot and decided to stay. The boss was hospitable, eating and drinking were all available, the lawn was clean and tidy, the pool could be selected indoors and outdoors, and the water was on the roof. It seemed to reach out to the sky, so uncomfortable. The sand pile is the child's favorite. The most important thing is that there is a very close water pipe. The living mud makes me an adult to think about childhood. Dinner can also be delivered to the door to eat in the restaurant. There are beautiful fireworks at night. Don't want it. It's very close to the Jinhai Lake Scenic Area. Breakfast until ten o'clock the next day, worthwhile trip, reasonable price, come back next time

The environment is good, living in the height of Sangyu Village, is a separate yard on the hillside, suitable for driving. The scenery with the balcony is good, the tea on the balcony is good, look at the distant mountains, enjoy the autumn moon. There is a walnut tree in the yard, take the baby to knock a few walnuts down to play. It is close to the Jietan Temple of Tanzong Temple. There are many traffic jams in the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is more comfortable to have tea and chat in the small courtyard. There is breakfast, and it is relatively simple. You have to drive out for lunch and dinner to find a place to eat. If you want to eat well here, don't come. Come to the hotel and think about whether you can accept it. Quiet at night, good sleep. Improvement suggestions: just choose a little mention, the family room has at least four bottles of water, and the next day to take the initiative to provide, do not always let guests go to the water, the hotel is not as good as the hotel in the service awareness, even if the water is drunk a few more bottles, there is not a few dollars, but the service awareness is reflected in the fullest, It is also a microcosm of the hotel service. Overall very good, after a pleasant Mid-Autumn Festival.

GGuest UserThe time spent at the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel was simply fabulous. I am a very experienced traveler and have been to dozens of countries, but I can confidently say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Every area here is thought out: a high-tech room of impeccable cleanliness with a pillow menu to choose from and 6 lighting options. Excellent dietary cuisine in the restaurant and a huge selection of dishes for breakfast. Very polite and customer-oriented attentive staff, they helped me with absolutely all my requests! But, of course, the highlight of the hotel is the impressive healing Ayurvedic center! The Head of the center, Dr. Balan is an experienced Ayurveda guru, with a tailored comprehensive program and the center's team, helped me restore my nervous system, restore immunity, and diagnose a chronic ailment that affected my quality of life, and all this just in 6 days! I mostly recommend this hotel to tired, overloaded residents of megacities, here you will simply find yourself in paradise! I will definitely come back more than once, huge thanks to the management and staff of the Grand Bay Beijing Hotel, who created this island of peace and relaxation on earth
CCarolineYMWe just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. Their Google website doesn’t work, but please email any questions to ******************************
MMaverick MakStayed 2 nights at the Gubei Wtown Resort. The resort is probably one of the larger resorts within the area of Gubei Watertown.
Your coach or taxi will drop you at the Carpark (P2) outside the Watertown as no outside vehicles are allowed inside the Watertown. It is a short walk to the Visitor Centre where you can deposit your luggage and register for the hotel/resort/ boutique accommodation over here.
Please note ”no drones” are allowed beyond this point. They will screen through every luggage.
After which you can take the Watertown Shuttle to your resort which is only a couple of mins. If you have big luggage, they will send directly to the hotel you booked as well.
The resort is beautiful a blend with ancient Chinese design with modern architecture.
The room is immaculately adorned with traditional furniture, murals, artifacts and other traditional Chinese elements to exude the ancient town. It is very spacious too, truly luxurious!
We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2, a dinner for 2, a spa (onsen) for 2, a handicraft experience either Kite making or lantern making for 1 and the Simatai Great Wall Ticket for 2 (hike up).
There is a huge swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. Very under utilised. It is nice to have a swim after the Great Wall hike.
In short, it is a very memorable stay the resort worth every penny of it.

GGuest UserThe environment of the homestay is very good. There are many green plants in the yard, which are very lush. You can see that the owner takes care of it very carefully every day. The owner is also very enthusiastic. Seeing that I came alone, he not only invited me to have dinner, but also took me to visit the surrounding pear blossom forest. It was a very pleasant trip! I will definitely stay at their home again when I go to Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall in the future.
GGuest UserWe had an amazing staycation at this hotspring resort. I was very impressed with the customer service we recieved. Everyone was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help. The staff has clearly had 5 star training.
I would like to make particular note of Mr. Lee at the front desk. Upon check-in, he served us and acknowledged that not all the staff spoke English and that we should contact him directly over Wechat if we needed anything. On several occassions I contacted him and he was prompt and curtious. He was a great ambassador for the hotel. For example, room service forgot chicken on on salad, and he promptly pologized and arranged for two new compelmentary salads to be sent (i believe this was an oversight as the hotel was very busy with a special chiristmas dinner that night).
It is common in Beijing for hotel staff not to speak English, however we did found several memebers of staff that did. For example. when we went to the dining hall, they sent an English speaker over to help us. Further, the dining hall manager checked in with us and personally cleared plates away. Buffet breakfast was above average with western and chinese food. Also, when ordering room service, though they did not speak English, they sent someone to our room with a menu so that we could point to the items we wanted.
Overall, the hotel is new and to Western standards of cleanliness and quality. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were with my 2 month old baby and my 85 year old father, all generations enjoyed our time. The hot springs were very clean (not always the case in China) and they were alongside swimming pools with kids climbing apparatice and water ball pit. It was also nice that there were complementary refreshments (snacks and drinks) at the hot springs. In the winter air, the outdoor hotsprings were great.
Finally., though it wasnt a huge attraction, its nice to see the lammas, chicken and horses.
Overall, I could not recommend this place more. I will defintely stay again.

JJiankangkaixindemamaThe competition my child participated in was in the hotel, so I checked in one day in advance.
This is because I only stayed in the hotel for one night and didn't experience other things. I passed by the gym and recreation center, which are quite large. The hotel is very beautiful, with an artificial lake in front, a hot spring center on one side, and a villa area on the other side.
The service is just average, normal star standard. No welcome fruit was given, and I found a card under the door the next morning. We checked in late, and the fruit should actually be placed in the room, so you can see it when you open the door.
The hygiene is okay, but the details are not good. I wanted to see that the TV remote control was full of dust, so I took a wet tissue to wipe the remote control and the bedside table.
I wanted to go to the Chinese restaurant for lunch at noon, but there were too many people and there was no seat. I could see that the service staff were very anxious. I felt that there shouldn't be so many people at ordinary times. This hotel is called a conference center, and it should be able to host activities easily.
I wanted to delay check-out until 2 o'clock, and I explained my reasons, but the hotel disagreed, and 1:30 was not allowed either. Finally, we negotiated to check out at 1:15. Are all the rooms in such a big hotel full? They insisted that I check out at 1:15. I was quite dissatisfied with this because the five-star hotels I stayed in before could delay the other party to 2 o'clock, and I didn't stay at 3-4 o'clock, so my request was quite reasonable. When communicating, it felt like the hotel was a fast hotel with only 20 or 30 rooms. I won't waste my words, so let's just check out at 1:15.
Because of the children's competition, the hotel lobby was full of adults, and it didn't look like a star hotel at all. After checking out, I wanted to go to the restaurant for afternoon tea, but the restaurant hadn't been cleaned up yet, so there was no afternoon tea. The service staff asked me to go to the second floor, but the place where I could sit and drink coffee was full of people, and there was no free rest area or consumption area. Because the hotel was too chaotic, I went out to find a place to rest. I came back to pick up the children after the afternoon competition.
By the way, I saw in the comments that the business twin rooms all have balconies, but the one I stayed in didn't have one. What I asked for was quiet and far from the elevator. The sound insulation was good and very quiet, but the distance from the elevator was not achieved. It was just around the corner after leaving the elevator. Are Ctrip's requirements written in vain?

TTinocoIt’s was really nice stay at XishannHot spring hotel, there a lot of things to do for families. It was me, my wife, our two kids of 7 years old. Beside the many swimming pools they have two indoor parks and many activities going on almost 24h! It was a really nice stay! Hotel was clean, the food was good, good organized and room well maintained! There are two things I think could be better, first is the food menu is 100% Chinese, so no western options, I think they could have some options to make easy for western kids and families. And second is the fact that all instructions and all staff speak only Chinese, so I think they should at least translate all instructions at hotel, swimming pool, indoor parks to English, these would make the stay even better!

PPuleng MorakeExceptional Luxury and Service at The St. Regis Beijing
My recent stay at The St. Regis Beijing was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the signature St. Regis service that truly sets this hotel apart.
The location is ideal, situated in the heart of Beijing’s diplomatic and cultural district, providing easy access to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and high-end shopping areas. Despite being in the center of the city, the hotel offers a serene escape from the bustling streets.
The rooms and suites are exquisitely designed, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. The plush bedding, luxurious furnishings, and well-appointed amenities made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the room decor and the stunning city views further enhanced the experience.
One of the standout features of The St. Regis Beijing is its legendary butler service. Available 24/7, the butlers are attentive and always ready to assist with anything from unpacking luggage to arranging personalized experiences. Their professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction are truly remarkable.
The dining options are equally impressive. Breakfast at The Garden Court offered a delightful selection of both Western and Chinese delicacies, while Celestial Court serves some of the finest Cantonese cuisine in the city. The St. Regis Bar is a must-visit, offering the signature St. Regis Bloody Mary with a unique Beijing twist.
Overall, The St. Regis Beijing is an outstanding hotel that combines timeless luxury with modern convenience. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this property offers an unparalleled level of comfort and service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly refined experience in Beijing.

QQuin56Review: Stay Home
This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined.
If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension.
You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul.
On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.
CCartwrightAoifeIt was a little underwhelming for the price. The hot springs are not as nice as some others in Beijing and the room was quite hot and airless. There was also bright lights shining in from outside for the entire night, so if you're sensitive to that I definitely wouldn't stay here. The food in the lounge was expensive and mediocre, although we realised after dinner there are actually a number of restaurants outside the hotel with better options!
