The hotel is convenient if you are going the tourist locations in Beijing as between Dong’an and Wangfujing station. Can walk to Wangfujing and Tiananmen easily.
The rooms are quite small and slightly dated for a five star but they provide good service and have lots of additional products if you need them like mouthwash, eye masks, lint rollers.
The breakfast has a large selection of different cuisines. Overall, a nice hotel but rooms are on the small size - would suggest upgrading to a larger room if you need space.

I went to Hyde Hot Spring Hotel some time ago, and the experience was perfect. I must recommend it to everyone!
As soon as you enter the door, you can feel the luxury and atmosphere of the hotel, and the decoration is elegant. The front desk staff is warm and polite, the check-in efficiency is super high, and they also introduce the hotel facilities and hot spring projects intimately.
The hot spring area is even better! There are multiple indoor and outdoor pools, each with its own characteristics, including a rose pool for beauty and skin care, a Chinese medicine pool for relieving fatigue, and a recreational pool suitable for parents and children. The water is clear and the temperature is suitable. After soaking in the hot spring, go to the rest area to eat some fruit and drink some drinks, which is extremely comfortable.
The guest room environment is comfortable, the bedding is soft, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete. The hotel's catering is also very good, and the buffet dinner has rich dishes and tastes great. Whether it is service, facilities or environment, Hyde Hot Spring Hotel is impeccable. It is an excellent choice for leisure and relaxation. I will come again next time!

Magical place that we wanna visit again!!!
The staff were very helpful throughout the stay. Place was spacious, clean and neat, bed was comfortable, which was important for travellers to rest adequately 🤗 at night we could even see the clear starry sky and did Stargazing at the courtyard.
The breakfast was beautifuly presented and delicious too. The cafe visit is a must. There was a mini farmyard there where there were 3 goats that guests were freely playing with and touching. The setup and deco were so beautiful that you will end up spending hours there taking pictures or admiring the views. Many locals seem to visit the cafe for the food and beautiful aesthetics as well. The coffee were beautifully presented - and I didn't expect they will taste so good! The mix were refreshing and simply awesome.
Location was very ideal too. Convenient to the Great wall entrance - took about 5min by taxi.
Overall happy with my stay here, and I'd definitely recommend it to all travellers! This is the best place we've stayed in our trip to Beijing. Simply beautiful and magical.

This hotel is a small germ if you consider your stay at Beijing. Yes, it is a bit outside of the main city but the traffic connections towards the inner parts of Beijing is still reasonable. It is a rather quiet place to have a couple of days with the focus on relaxing when you have only a few things to do in Beijing. The set-up with a kind of traditional house structure - only two floors, square shaped outlying of the building, provides a rather friendly and easy to go feeling. The facilities are well maintained and the fountains in the central yard provide a nice addition together with the hot spring tubes. The surrounding of the artificial lake provides a nice atmosphere. Some visitors may regret that the area surrounding the hotel does not offer much. The stuff are well trained and carry out their tasks with the friendliness expected from a hotel at this level. I summary, I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a couple of relaxing days if you have to stay in Beijing and do not have a busy schedule at the same time.

Facilities: The facilities are OK, but there is no part for soaking together, and the leisure area is a bit small.
Service: There are few types of self-service fruits, but the service is OK, not as bad as the comments say, and it has been improved.
The price-performance ratio is very high, but it is much worse than other self-service hot springs with fruits. This one is really OK.

I have to give a thumbs up to the hotel, especially Xiao Ou from the customer service center, who is very attentive and patient. Because my colleague's itinerary was adjusted and changed twice, he booked and then cancelled, which resulted in no room in the end. Xiao Ou took the initiative to communicate and coordinate, and finally booked a room again. The previous room fee was also refunded through communication with Ctrip. She is very dedicated. The hotel is also comfortable to stay in, and I recommend everyone to stay.

I saw this B&B when I passed by in northern Philippines in winter. This time I stayed there and the experience was quite good. The room is in North African style, quite large, and has a certain degree of privacy. We were short of wine glasses, but the clerk found them right away, which were just right for local wine. It rained at night, and it was perfect to sit on the balcony of the room, tasting wine and listening to the rain. In the morning, I felt [after the rain in the empty mountains, the weather was the beginning of summer]. I climbed the Great Wall, admired the spring mountains, and absorbed the vitality of nature. After the May Day holiday, I returned to Beijing to work.

GGuest User2024.09.18
The environment is good, living in the height of Sangyu Village, is a separate yard on the hillside, suitable for driving. The scenery with the balcony is good, the tea on the balcony is good, look at the distant mountains, enjoy the autumn moon. There is a walnut tree in the yard, take the baby to knock a few walnuts down to play. It is close to the Jietan Temple of Tanzong Temple. There are many traffic jams in the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is more comfortable to have tea and chat in the small courtyard. There is breakfast, and it is relatively simple. You have to drive out for lunch and dinner to find a place to eat. If you want to eat well here, don't come. Come to the hotel and think about whether you can accept it. Quiet at night, good sleep. Improvement suggestions: just choose a little mention, the family room has at least four bottles of water, and the next day to take the initiative to provide, do not always let guests go to the water, the hotel is not as good as the hotel in the service awareness, even if the water is drunk a few more bottles, there is not a few dollars, but the service awareness is reflected in the fullest, It is also a microcosm of the hotel service. Overall very good, after a pleasant Mid-Autumn Festival.
Great Wall Station Castle Boutique Hotel | Where Landscapes Become Your Pillow and History Your Bedfellow
Nestled among the peaks kissed by the first dawn light of Mutianyu Great Wall, Great Wall Station Castle Boutique Hotel awaits poetic souls with mountain ridges as its pillow and cloud seas as its canopy. This 5,000-square-meter stone castle, crafted by China's premier design team, lies merely a 5-minute walk from the Great Wall entrance. Serving as both a gateway to Jiankou Great Wall and Hongluo Temple, it emerges as a cultural sanctuary for urbanites seeking spiritual repose.
Embracing the "vessel of time" concept, designers harmoniously blend Ming Dynasty brick textures with smart home technologies. Twenty-four themed guest rooms stand as 24 crystallized poems - where old elm wood beams whisper centuries-old tales, custom lighting etches mountain silhouettes, and window frames transform the Great Wall's seasonal vistas into living murals. Each century-old furnishing, carefully curated by heritage restoration experts, breathes new life into contemporary spaces.
Redefining boutique hospitality, the castle creates multidimensional experiences:
• Sip wine under star-strewn skies on rooftop terraces overlooking serpentine battlements
• Immerse in Ming-Qing era intrigues through basement-level LARP experiences
• Survey the dragon-like wall's majesty via helicopter tours
• Corporate teams strategize in boardrooms before transitioning to open-air grill parties
• Families bond through playground laughter and curated parent-child activities
"True Great Wall immersion resides not beneath your feet, but within your heart." Through its humanistic warmth, this mountain-encircled temporal gateway invites guests to trace historical imprints while constructing their own spiritual fortifications. Here at the crossroads of eras, we await to co-create your contemporary rendition of "Spring Mountains in View" - an oriental poetic gathering for modern times

The room was beautiful, large, clean and nicely decorated.
The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk from the ticket office of the Mutianyu Great Wall.
The staff were all friendly and very helpful (communication was mostly via “google translate”)
It was a good stay, and I would recommend it for anybody visiting the Mutianyu Great Wall.

This is a homestay that is very carefully built. The details are sincere. For example, the plant bases are equipped with wheels and can be moved and placed at will. For example, the quality of disposable toothbrushes, the coasters are separated by color for men and women, the ice machine, barbecue grill, sparkling water, afternoon tea, coffee and beverages are all available, and sparkling wine is served in the evening. Not to mention the excellent geographical location (a one-minute walk to the least crowded Great Wall Water Gate Great Wall, you can get the Great Wall for fitness if you get up early) and the quality of service. There are also souvenirs before leaving. It is very considerate and I will come often.

GGuest UserThe room is very warm and stylish. It seems that care has been taken and all the little details have been considered. I met three front desk clerks, and their service was very enthusiastic, especially Xiao Wang. I had three meals at Fangen. They were delicious and reasonably priced. Will stay again. A little suggestion is to prepare some commonly used medicines, such as colds, etc.

FFanli2025The hotel's decoration design is very tasteful. The services in all aspects are in place. Each room is equipped with a butler. A fruit plate is given as a gift. The needs are responded to at any time. We swam and soaked in sulfur, ginger, angelica, wolfberry and other hot springs (12 choices). The breakfast is rich. We would stay here even when it snows and in spring. Our butler Vivian Zhu sister is considerate and provides considerate service. She carefully introduced the hotel facilities and the reservation of the free items, reminded the breakfast off-peak time and proactively asked about additional needs, etc. She is very patient and considerate. In the morning, we hiked on the private trail in the mountains for 30 minutes... A very satisfying stay experience.
GGuest UserThe environment of the homestay is very good. There are many green plants in the yard, which are very lush. You can see that the owner takes care of it very carefully every day. The owner is also very enthusiastic. Seeing that I came alone, he not only invited me to have dinner, but also took me to visit the surrounding pear blossom forest. It was a very pleasant trip! I will definitely stay at their home again when I go to Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall in the future.
CCarolineYMWe just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. Their Google website doesn’t work, but please email any questions to ******************************
MMae YeI stayed overnight at Beijing Wtown Resort and was very satisfied with my experience. The room was clean and looked new, the hospitality was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious and varied, offering both Western and Asian options. The staff was kind and helpful.
And I would especially like to thank Mr. Yin Yingdai for his outstanding assistance throughout our stay. From the moment we checked in, he provided us with his WeChat contact in case we needed any help. He assisted us in booking a hot spring visit and was incredibly attentive when one of our friends suffered a bruise after a fall in the Gu Bei scenic area—he even offered to call a doctor and arrange a late check-out if needed. On the day of our departure, he went the extra mile by helping us book a shuttle bus to the parking lot.
I will definitely return to Gu Bei Watertown in the future and will stay at Beijing Wtown Resort again!

GGuest UserWe had an amazing staycation at this hotspring resort. I was very impressed with the customer service we recieved. Everyone was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help. The staff has clearly had 5 star training.
I would like to make particular note of Mr. Lee at the front desk. Upon check-in, he served us and acknowledged that not all the staff spoke English and that we should contact him directly over Wechat if we needed anything. On several occassions I contacted him and he was prompt and curtious. He was a great ambassador for the hotel. For example, room service forgot chicken on on salad, and he promptly pologized and arranged for two new compelmentary salads to be sent (i believe this was an oversight as the hotel was very busy with a special chiristmas dinner that night).
It is common in Beijing for hotel staff not to speak English, however we did found several memebers of staff that did. For example. when we went to the dining hall, they sent an English speaker over to help us. Further, the dining hall manager checked in with us and personally cleared plates away. Buffet breakfast was above average with western and chinese food. Also, when ordering room service, though they did not speak English, they sent someone to our room with a menu so that we could point to the items we wanted.
Overall, the hotel is new and to Western standards of cleanliness and quality. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were with my 2 month old baby and my 85 year old father, all generations enjoyed our time. The hot springs were very clean (not always the case in China) and they were alongside swimming pools with kids climbing apparatice and water ball pit. It was also nice that there were complementary refreshments (snacks and drinks) at the hot springs. In the winter air, the outdoor hotsprings were great.
Finally., though it wasnt a huge attraction, its nice to see the lammas, chicken and horses.
Overall, I could not recommend this place more. I will defintely stay again.

GGuest UserIt can be seen that the hotel facilities are a bit old. The balcony faces the center of the lake and the view is great. The overall service is very good, parent-child friendly, there are fewer people on weekdays, the water quality is clean, the water temperature of the children's pool is suitable, the hot spring can be entered and exited multiple times, tea is provided, and the salt bed experience is great. Dad said that the leg pain has been relieved a lot, and he is still thinking about going again. Remember to bring a swimming cap. Special thanks to Zhang Suli and the hotel staff who sent welcome fruits. They were enthusiastic and guided us throughout the whole process. Seeing that we brought a baby, they took the initiative to provide children's products and crib guards. It completely exceeded expectations. Every staff member was very warm and friendly to the baby. It is very suitable for a family trip.

GGuest UserThank you to Leah, the hotel butler, for the great service. The beverage butler is available 24 hours a day, and the drinks include coffee, black tea, hot chocolate, and green tea. This is rare in other hotels. Because I thought it would be very tiring to have fun on the day of the Universal Studios, I chose the St. Regis with hot springs, where I could soak in the hot springs to relieve fatigue. The geographical location is relatively advantageous, but the room facilities need to be improved. Some of the sockets are not powered, maybe the hotel was built earlier. The service is really good👍Give away bear pendants and handmade DIY for little friends

QQuin56Review: Stay Home
This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined.
If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension.
You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul.
On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.
TTathiMy husband and I had a lovely stay at the resort as it was our wedding anniversary, the hotel provided us a big bouquet which was very gentle. The communication was quite challenging as they only speak Chinese but Feng Bo, which was the person doing our check-in, was very patient and tried his best to understand and please us. He showed us few options as we were considering upgrading to another room and there are some huge ones, in the end we decided to stay with the ”mountain view” and just asked for an upper floor. Breakfast was quite good, many Chinese options (fried noodles, fried rice, a variety of Chinese buns, porridge, vegetables) also toast with jam, fruits, juices and iogurt, we liked it.
There are reduced hours for lunch and dinner so you should plan in advance and menus in Chinese (which again Feng Bo offered to explain and translate if we needed help).
We felt very welcome, the hotsprings are great and both resort and hotsprings are fully staffed with caring and friendly people. Nanshao subway is maybe 15 minutes from there, you can get a Didi.
The room is just like the pictures.
