Hotels near La Queseria in Bilbao

We stayed four nights in a NYX Suite in the middle of August. This hotel has an excellent location at the entrance to the old Town. The Renfe train station to Madrid and Barcelona is about 6 minutes walking across the bridge right in front of the hotel. This bridge also takes you to the major shopping street of Bilbao as well. The Guggenheim is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the river and around the corner you'll find the Plaza Barria with some of the best pinxto bars in the Basque country. The metro station that will take you right to the intermodal bus station is a short 2 minute walk away. The suite was compact with only a double bed, but the bathroom was roomy and the shower easily fit two. Storage was minimal, but there was a safe, mini fridge, iron and ironing board. The coffee maker was an imitation Nespresso, but the pods were Lavazza. The balcony had a fantastic 270 degree view of the old Town and the newer city across the river. A negative note: Almost every evening we came home to discover a new invasion of ants crossing our room, slipping under the door and parading down the hall.

Pleasant basic clean hotel ideal for short city break..Fernando on reception very informative on the area and pointed us in the right direction as did all the guys. Safe area security everywhere don't know why some reviews said different. Room cleaned every day the girl even folded up clothes that we left on 🛌 no need what a gem.1 negative a small fridge in the room for water wld be fab it does get hot there all in all we were very happy with the hotel.

I thought I'd exhausted my search of hotels in Bilbao, but stumbled upon the Bilder Boutique Hotel quite late on before my trip. I'm glad I did! For the standard of the rooms, I thought it was very reasonably priced: approx. £130 per night with breakfast. I opted for an 'inside' room, which had a window onto a small courtyard. Despite being very central in the old town, this meant it was incredibly quiet overnight, even with the window open. The room itself was lovely: spotless, good tea and coffee facilities, comfy bed and a great bathroom. The hotel is in the old town itself and, very conveniently, less than a 5 minute walk to a Metro stop. Also, the bus to the airport is just a 15 minute walk away at Plaza Noyoa. Lots of other attractions, bars and restaurants all within a 5 to 20 minute walk. Reception staff were very friendly. My only complaint was at breakfast time. Breakfast was lovely, and arguably very good value for the amount you bet, but the service wasn't particularly friendly. There was a language barrier with an older guy working over the weekend. I just felt this isn't a reason to come across as quite cold. By contrast, the guy serving on the Sunday morning also didn't speak English, but was still very friendly.

The location is good, it is convenient to the major attractions in the city, and there are many Chinese storefronts. The counter can also communicate in English. The disadvantage is that the sound insulation is not very good, and the next door knocking or speech can be heard clearly. The towel quilt was also a bit dirty. Overall it's ok.

The hotel is in the city center, nearest to the train station, and there are many dining halls nearby. It is convenient and the front desk service is very attentive. When I booked the car rented at the train station online to pick up the car, I found that the car rental shop was now There is no service for decoration, only a piece of paper is posted to tell you to take a taxi for 15 minutes to go to the city center branch to pick up the car. It immediately caught fire. Due to the inconvenience of a lot of luggage, I went back to the hotel for help. We had a lovely 4 night stay at the at Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia - Great welcome, Our ‘Privilege’ Room on the 7th floor was lovely very spacious with a very comfortable King size bed, large closet with hanging and shelf space and a large safe. There was a minibar with complimentary water 2 still and 1 sparkling, 2 beers and 2 Coca Cola which was replenished every day. There is a coffee machine. Good controllable air conditioning. The Bathroom had a large walk-in shower. There is a nightclub nearby so there is some noise at night so if you are a light sleeper you should ask for a quiet room. Perfect location - The hotel is 15 min stroll to the Guggenheim museum and its about 10 minute walk from the centres of both the old and new towns, there is a Corte Ingles about 10 mins walk away on the main street and the hotel is just a couple of minutes from the river. The Lobby bar is great and the staff are pleasant and helpful and prices are very reasonable – it was lovely sitting outside having a glass of wine. It is very easy to get to from the airport A3247 bus stop, Journey from the airport is about 20 minutes. Great staff All the staff we met were helpful. Reception is on the 3rd Floor. Breakfast is on the 4th floor with good coffee machines and a great fresh orange juice machine. Thank you to all the restaurant and bar staff especially the manager and also Pedro. The housekeeping was efficient, and everything was spotless. There are so many amazing restaurants and bars in Bilbao serving great food – We were lucky enough to be in Bilbao for the start of the festival and we really enjoyed the amazing firework display on Saturday night. We are already looking forward to returning to Bilbao and the Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia.

Fabulously clean, cute and cutting edge accommodations. Reception was friendly, multi-lingual and efficient. This is a nugget hotel, so not a lot of thrill. The lobby was on the small side but inviting. There’s an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet one can purchase (I did not) two elevators take you right upstairs. The hallways are cheeky and sweet. The room was small but as a touristy traveler that was fine. I don’t want to be in a hotel room. I’m out exploring. The bed was very comfortable and the whole room was spotless. Toilet and shower are separate which is helpful if there are two in the room. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent location in the Viejo Casco. From the bus station 30 minutes walk or, 15 in metro then 600 meters walk. It is located at the 2nd floor of a palace. The room ”Gru” is very beautiful, spacious and bright with water bottles in the room at the arrival and even the next day. Kit bathroom present in addition to phone and hair plate. Excellent quality also towels. Room on the street with rooms, but I had no noise problems. Presented in the common room also coffee machine (solds are in the tea and tisane room. There are also bask costumes for who wants to take photos. The surrounding roads are full of shops, near the central market, I advise who wants to visit Bilbao.
