Divi Southwinds Beach Resort

We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. Check-in was a breeze and we were greeted by 2 friendly front desk employees-Pauline and a young man. Both were very helpful whenever I had a question. Our room was cozy, clean, and came with a complete kitchen and living room area. And all of the amenities to make this your home away from home. We had to request for a microwave oven to be brought to our room. And it was delivered quickly. The A/C kept us cool and we had hot water the entire time. The resort grounds were really nice. There are 3 pools. Most people go to the main pool. But the garden pool is nice and you will probably have it all to yourself. There is an activities center, mini golf, and plenty of green lawn space for you to play on or have a picnic. There is a little convenience store, a clothing boutique, and beauty salon on the premises. We only had lunch one time at the beach side hotel restaurant. The food was good but there were entirely too many birds that were flying and landing on the tables and chairs as we were trying to eat. It was aggravating. The only other cons for me was that we constantly encountered bees flying in the hallway or crawling on walls where our room was located. Also, It would be nice if they had a self service laundry facility for guests. This resort is a great value for the location and amenities offered. I will definitely return to Divi Southwinds.

Great location down the gap, rooms are basic but have everything you need, staff are friendly and welcoming. Beach is lovely and pool is often quiet and a nice place to chill out under the shaded cabana. Definitely a great choice of hotel if looking for a chilled week in St Lawrence.

As a member of interval we have gone to a number of timeshare properties and this one turned out to be an amazing 3weeks Upon arrival we were treated great by front desk and got a pool view one bedroom. At first view the accommodations were not to the standards we have been used to. While very clean the rooms are very dated and small. That being said it had every thing we needed. Bed was excellent and very comfy. We made breakfast and lunch everyday and for most part went out for dinner along the gap. Pools were meticulously clean warm and lots of umbrellas for shade. It’s hot in April. The grounds are beautiful monkeys frequently eating mangos and lots of beautiful birds. The grounds are huge with a nice pathway to go down to the ocean . Ocean had turtles galore easily to view walking the beach. The gap is just great to have splitting the large property and has numerous restaurants to chose from. We just had the best time. The staff work very hard and if you needed something you got it very quickly. We will be back in two years to this resort

Arrived at reservation counter and received no greeting from staff. Rooms were okay but the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush after three visits by maintenance and there was leak in bathroom with a pool of water always on the floor. No offer to change room until after i spoke with property manager.

Clean, well maintained resort. Not on the beach but across the road from. 2 pools. Lots of chairs and umbrellas. Quiet area’s. Resort is close to all amenities. There are plenty of restaurants, little shops and groceries within walking distance of the property. A great area for walkers. We had a one bedroom unit on the 3rd floor, balcony, pool facing. Building was clean and maintained but it’s tired looking. Space in suite was adequate but the use of it hasn’t been very well thought out. A renovation is needed. We ate at the restaurant on the beach for breakfast one morning only. We found the staff rude. Had drinks in the bar one afternoon with a very friendly bartender attending. Staff at the check in lobby were friendly and helpful.

This was our third visit to this fabulous hoel , right on st lawrence gap . went with wife also daughter and son in law , on arrival we had rooms located at different ends of the hotel ,after speaking to the lovely reception staff ,we were allocated adjoining rooms on the fourth floor . the rooms are spotless as are the grounds , and all staff very friendly , will definitely be returning

we stayed here in january 2024, we absolutely loved it, room kept spotless. regularly serviced. the grounds are kept beautiful as is their beach area. always loads of sun beds by all three pools or the beach. we will without doubt be back. it was totally fabulous.

We were not disappointed with the accommodation here. We were not sure as it is 4 star what the standard would be like and did see some negative reviews on the hotel, but thought we would give our first week in Barbados a go here. Could not fault the cleanliness, size of room, grounds, pool maintenance, staff. It was all above our expectations and will be returning guests when on the South Coast. The beds and cabanas on the beach were an added bonus too. Would have been 5 star if the toilet roll had been replenished regularly without having to keep asking for it. Pool view of the evening was also lovely as was the Managers Cocktail evening. See you next year, may try longer too.

This was our 12th visit to Barbados over a number of years but our first stay in this hotel. We have holidayed all over the island and have come to the conclusion that, with so many fabulous beaches, restaurants and bars up and down the country, all you need is a solid, clean and comfortable base to work from and this hotel delivers exactly that! We often pity the folk that invest a fortune to visit Barbados, spending all of their holiday locked down in an all-inclusive resort whilst missing everything that this friendly country has to offer. They may have Barbados on their tick list but miss the essence of the Rock! It does not pretend to play in the platinum coast market but on the other hand its price point leaves you with cash to have fun😀 Clean, comfy, quiet and friendly. What’s not to like?
