Nikko Hotels in Chengdu

The hotel front desk staff Qiqi Xiaozhang provided good service. It is next to Chunxi Road Taikoo Li. The subway is right next to it. It is very convenient for travel.

We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was comfortable, clean and very conveniently located. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. My only minor niggle was that at breakfast I asked the chef for a soft yolk egg, as the Chinese prefer to cook the yolks until hard. He said no. But as I left after finishing my breakfast, I saw soft yolked eggs now available. Perhaps it was my poor Chinese and he hadn’t understood what I asked for. Hope so. Also, I’ve stayed in hotels in China that provide real bacon for breakfast, not the reconstituted stuff lots of places use. Sadly, this wasn’t one of them. I live in hope.

The hotel service is perfect. I really love their flexibility service. At first, I booked for 1 day, then when I decided to travel to Jiu Zhai Gou in a day trip, Then I booked for another 4 D 3 N, Since I have booked the room with breakfast, they gave us the breakfast pack when we need to go out early in the morning. The breakfast were rich, a variety of choices including the desserts. The hotel location is strategic, very near to the famous Chun Xi Street and Chun MRT station .One thing I appreciate the most was the staff in the receptionist counter help me to call the Sichuan Airline helpdesk so that I can get the verification and redeem the free bus ticket from Chun Xi Street to Tian Fu International Airport. Thumbs up to the hotel 5 star service. The only downside is I didn't get the gift from the hotel during checkout. I read the reviews which mentioned when the customer check out will get the free gift but I didn't get it. Haha, if they send me the free gitt，then i will say that this is perfect stay!

Not too bad location. About 15 mins walk to kuan zai street. Quite a bit of walking distance to mrt. 50+ km to tianfu airport. Taking didi to airport from hotel will get u some drivers requesting more than the amount indicated, eg rmb 200 for trip to airport. However, hotel room size is good. Toilet is good. I love the hotel. Breakfast is also quite good. Never tried the free afternoon food, but I believe it is good too because the hotel experience is good.service is also on point. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I will very likely stay here again the next time I'm here in chengdu

I love this hotel very much! The hotel is quite old but the room is very clean. There’s even a personal assistant whom you can chat with via WeChat. They can help you accept parcels and deliveries before sending them to your room using a machine. The breakfast is decent for the price too! All the staffs are very polite. Will definitely return!

Stayed 2 nights in the Dorsett Twin Room (Movies + Digital Projection). For some reason my room does not have the Digital Projection.... just a 42” Android TV. We did not take the breakfast option as there are many cheap food options beside the hotel. The BEST feature of Dorsett Chengdu is the excellent location which is just beside the Luomashi subway (Line 4), one stop away to Tianfu Square (for shopping) and KuanZhaiXiangZi Alleys. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We asked for direction for the wholesale centre and staff (Steven) recommended 荷花池批发市场. Highly recommended!

Was excellent from start to end. Everything was perfect, now you can call that a 5 stars hotel ! The client service was top tier, thanks to everyone, Damon and Rachel who were so kind, professional and efficient. This one was by far the best comparing to all the hotels that I have stayed at. ( around the world) experience was so good that I extended my stay. Definitely recommend it.

It was a good impression the moment my parents and I arrived at the hotel with the butler meeting us and assisting to the check in. Afterwhich bringing us to the room and introducing everything about the room and adding wechat so whenever we have any issues 24hrs they will be able to assist. Room is abit aged but was maintained quite well.. recommended.

The location of the hotel is okay. It’s near the metro which can easily take you anywhere but it’s not that close to touristic areas. Inside, the hotel is quite nice and new. Our room was big and comfortable. There were some issues since when we booked the hotel, the website said that there would be spa. However, the hot spring was closed. It seems that this was an issue of trip.com and not the hotel, but the hotel was not accommodating at all. While spa is not listed as one of the amenities of the hotel, the picture of it is still up and on trip.com it says that they changed the opening times of the hot spring, not that it’s closed. We even contacted them in advance to inquire about the hot spring opening times but didn’t receive an answer. The hotel told us that we need to talk about this issue with trip.com and was extremely unhelpful. For the price we paid for this hotel, this was really disappointing. The hot spring was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel so this situation was very bothersome. Some of the furniture in the room was really nice, but for example the table was very shaky so it was really annoying to use. The toilet had a bidet which was nice but it was extremely loud. It made beeping sounds so when someone needed to use the toilet at night/morning, it can wake the other person up. The breakfast was good but it was served right next to the entrance to the hotel so it was very cold there since the door kept opening and closing. Overall, we liked the hotel but thought it was very overpriced for what it offered. Besides the hot spring issue which was very specific to us, the room was nice and clean, had many amenities, the bed was comfortable and everything worked. But the price was extremely high for what the hotel offered.
