My wife, Brother-in-Law and I had a lunch on Sunday 12th May. We had a most enjoyable meal. From booking to leaving we found the staff, mostly young ladies and lads together with The Manager to be extremely friendly, professional and courteous throughout. The service we received was first class. We have no hesitation in recommending THE JOLLY DROVER to guarantee excellent service. We are more than happy for these comments to be used.

Perfect stay! The room was clean, spacious and very quiet - we had an early night and we weren’t disturbed once! The staff were very friendly staff and welcoming and it’s set in a beautiful area - couldn’t be happier with our stay! Thank you for having us!

Beautiful clean and comfortable rooms lovely bed and lots of hot water in the shower ….…..great staff always so helpful so kind. Been there twice and always leave happy ..thank you so much .hope to visit again later this year … Mu. And Steve Howells.

Friendly staff ,good English breakfast (though the apple juice was nicer than the mixed fruit), comfortable bed and good shower. Lovely location in the countryside. Bathroom floor was cold underfoot, stone flagged , unfortunately. And the night was cold. But otherwise, room facilities were excellent.

Nothing to fault, the room was comfortable, comfortable bed, pillow & quilt, well equipped room from iron, trouser press, hairdryer, tea & coffee tray, plenty of storage and bathroom was great. Breakfast was more than you could eat from cereals, fruit, yogurt & toast as much as you wanted, we then had full English all local produce used and it was delicious, the staff were friendly and very obliging, quite frankly for £100 a night there wasn’t anything to fault, the pub had comfortable seating around a fab fire which I’m very sure in winter would be fabulous, you won’t be disappointed

We stayed at The Jolly Drover for one night to attend a family wedding nearby at Southdowns Manor. The staff did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible - going out of their way to ensure we were all able to check in early to change for the wedding etc. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was lovely. Leigh was professional, friendly and helpful. Exceptional service overall. Would highly recommend. David & Sue Wreaves and Family.

We spent a wonderful week here, the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. the room had an ensuite and a hair dryer was provided. A kettle and cafetière, were provided along with tea, coffee, chocolate (sachets) and biscuits which were replenished daily. The food was excellent, and filling (no small portions here) and the staff in the kitchen were very helpful, for example, if you wanted vegan produce and they didn't have it they would go out and get it for you. Question; Would I return for another visit? Answer; Yes.

Had an amazing lunch of Thai style mussels and a lobster and crab Thermidor… followed by white chocolate and saffron crème brûlée with summer berries …. Cannot wait to return . Staff very attentive and a wonderful lunch . Thank you chef

I stayed here the night before my wedding, I was made so welcome and the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, lovely shower. I had my two bridesmaids join me for breakfast & Prosecco. Thank you for a great stay. Wholeheartedly recommended.
