Freedom Square
Zzinnia_615Freedom Square is the absolute center of the west bank of the Kura River. The towering statue of St. George slaying the dragon shines with golden light even on cloudy days, overlooking all living things. With this as the center of the circle, there is no need to deliberately plan the route. The streets in all directions can become an excellent route for exploring the city.
Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi
Zzinnia_615I just met the event celebration and watched it for 20 minutes. It was very good. The whole church was built very beautifully. The greening inside was good. The weather was not bad. I turned around inside.
Bridge Of Peace
Zzinnia_615The new pedestrian bridge "Peace Bridge" across the Mtkvari River in Tbilisi was designed by Italian architect Michel De Lucchi and French lighting designer Philie Martinaud. The bridge, built of glass and iron, connects the old and new districts of Tbilisi and features a 150-meter-high canopy. The bridge was officially opened on May 6 and has become a modern design landmark in Tbilisi.
From the bridge, you can see the Metekhi Church and the Narikala Fortress as well as the Baratashivili Bridge and the Presidential Residence. It is equipped with an interactive light display system, including 30,000 LED lights and 240 sensors, which flash along the two parapets of the bridge every hour according to special signals, much like Morse code, symbolizing the chemical elements of the human body and human life and peace. The glittering bridge has an almost biological appearance with its sea creature-like shape crawling over the river.
Tbilisi sea
BbonniebonniebonnieColorful summer in Ruicun. Visit a seaside city on weekends. The football team of the town where I live happened to play there that day, and I encountered a fan parade; then I watched the padel tennis open; I went to swim in the sea with a super long beach and watched a concert on the sand "mountaintop", and of course I couldn't miss walking on the forest road.
Narikala Castle
EE56***63The mother fortress is located high in Georgia, and you can see the whole Georgia from it. In the evening, you can wait for the sun to set and watch the sunset. This season, Tbilisi is only more than 20 degrees at night, which is really comfortable.
Georgian National Museum
BbonniebonniebonnieWe went to Georgia and found the scenery to be picturesque. Greenery filled the view along the way. The country under the Caucasus Mountains is very suitable for travel and living. The price is right and we like the simple and nutritious food there.
Mother of Kartli
HHalodaoConsidered a beautiful viewpoint place. Can take a walk to enjoy
Tbilisi History Museum
TTodemmyWe booked on the museum website two days before the free admission to take advantage of Monday's offer. Our selection was on the 3:30pm schedule. However, there was no news warning us that the museum would close at 4pm on Monday. However, when I bought the ticket, according to some people, almost all slots can be used for 3 hours starting at 1pm) and knew that visitors would therefore have less than 30 minutes???! And without warning??? We barely saw a few rooms, We were suddenly invited out of the museum by a large group of guards... eager to empty the museum. The organization is incomprehensible and although we planned to spend the afternoon in the museum, our visit was shortened and we regret it. I find it a pity, especially since we will not be able to return to this museum after our stay. This organization has not failed the reputation of the museum.
Metekhi St. Virgin Church
山山水人生We walked through the European Square and first visited the Metec Church on the nearby high ground. The interior of this old church is simple, but its historical value is not simple, because it was once held in prison in the Soviet era as a great writer Comrade Gorky, whom we knew from childhood. In front of the church is a large sculpture of the father of Georgia, the Wachtanger I of the Kingdom of Liberia, Georgia, which is said to be the origin of the city of Tbilisi. Take a break in front of the Metec Church, overlooking the European Square, the flowing Kula River, and the large sculpture of the Mother of Georgia at the top of the hillside not far away. This hillside is called Surolaq, located above the old town of Tbilisi.
