"Just needed an overnight stop prior to driving home after a long flight. Minor problems with the shower setup in 212 but I assume there’s a reason for it (hard to use the smaller shower head because of the way it’s fixed. But I have to say the bed was fine, the breakfast was good and the staff, without exception were terrific. I’ll be back."

"All in all was a comfortable stay, a plus on the breakfast staff so friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was very good, hearty and warm. Only surprise was I had to pay again at the front desk even though I already did online upon booking. Yet to be resolved by Trip.com customer service side. I hope it will be soon and I can my refund."

"For the first time ever I phoned reception to complain about the noise. There was a function going on downstairs that was so obnoxious. When I called reception the guy who answered just sighed, told me that he'd had several complaints and the music would continue until 12.45... The corridor was SO noisy. All the doors are set to slam closed. And slam they do.... I was travelling with my 10 year old daughter. We both had a terrible night's sleep. Staff didn't ask how my stay was or how I'd slept when checking out. As a frequent traveller I think that's the first time this has happened. Probably just as well as I'd have told them.... The room was clean but there was no shampoo in the container in the bathroom. Very basic. Saving grace was the swimming pool. Especially with a 10 year old. We were allowed to swim in the morning which really cheered her up."

"The English breakfast was hearty and delicious. The hotel has complete facilities, elegant environment and high security. It is only a 5-minute walk from the university where my daughter is studying. There is a cafe downstairs, and afternoon tea is convenient."

"I Love this hotel. The receptionist Julie really made our trip very special. She found d out immediately were celebrating and made everything super special for us. She is an asset to the business for sure! Room was clean enough and tidy. But what a view! Staff in the red sky bar were a little lethargic and nowhere near as attentive."

"I would stay again, especially if attending something at the Hydro. I was stung by the carpark as thought you had to download and pay on the app that is signposted all over the carpark. I paid £26.25 for 24 hrs, then went to check in and was told I should've waited until I checked in as it was £10! Maria, who checked us in, asked if we wanted a paper, and we told her our choice. The next morning when it didn't arrive, we asked at reception about it and were told this was not a service they offer? The only other negative was a very rude hotel guest who would not let my elderly mother and I in the lift she was in, even although plenty of space."

"Great hotel in the Centre of Glasgow, very modern. Down side is no kettle in room for tea or coffee. Also was very noisy around 0330 in the hallway but with it being a Saturday night I thought I’d hear more noise from outside but was quiet. Decent Breakfast, the turnover on the food buffet was a bit slow."

"I booked a room as a treat for myself and my 7 year old son. We had a really lovely time. The room was spotless and the city view I had requested did not disappoint. Beds were really comfy and the room temperature was very pleasant. All staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. We used the pool from 6 until 7 in the evening which was a nice quite time to go. The location was great for both walking into the city and out to Kelvingrove museum and park- both of which were only about a 20 minute walk. Allin all I could thoroughly recommend."

"Good location but lots of roadworks taking place around hotel, Checking fairly easy, Room location as requested, found beds uncomfortable and no pillow support, insufficient towels for number of guests and no shower caps, , Insufficient teas /milk for guests. Room could have been cleaner had to move bed to locate dropped earning. and it was needing a, hoover., lack of tables at breakfast wanted to seat us in bar. If you have mobility issues not good if you want a cup of tea and have to bend down to floor to locate cups. Had to ask fir paper cup as three cups dirty. Despite this we enjoyed our stay."

"Our trip to the Z hotel was very much a picture of great service, we were checked in patiently and promptly. Upon being in the room, we eventually found a maintenance issue, which couldn’t be fixed right away. In response, the staff changed our room, and offered us a choice of complimentary food or drink as an apology. Overall they were very kind and offered a friendly face every time we were at the desk, and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are small, admittedly, but that is by design and is shown when booking, the amenities are very good, and are definitely worth the price. The Z also offers a loyalty programme that is very much worth the time to look into."
