Very unhappy that we could not access the hotel on our arrival due to roads being closed off as the annual carnaval was taking place. We could not park anywhere nearby due to the busyness, so had to drive out of the city and waste away a couple of hours until the roads reopened. Had the hotel had the courtesy to inform us in advance, we could have planned our arrival time accordingly and used our time to better. The hotel was apologetic and did not charge for using the underground car park, but it quite spoiled our visit. Hence the coffee machine had run out, the jug of hot milk had disappeared and there was no bottle opener for the milk shake drink.
