Beautiful pub , great service , great food !!! Would return and recommend to everyone . The roast dinner was amazing . Service was very attentive and friendly . Sun cream on the tables outside was a really unique touch I thought . Garden was lovely too .

We visited Double Red Duke based off of a friends recommendation. We went for Sunday lunch and it was easily the best roast we have ever eaten! We were greeted warmly when we arrived and shown to our table in the Garden Room which was a gorgeous setting. Service was great, the starters were unbelievable (burrata and duck liver parfait) and the roast was truly delicious. An excellent spot for Sunday lunch!

Spent a lovely night at the DRD. Excellent staff - nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful room (number 6). Dinner was very good. Extensive (slightly pricey) wine list. Continental breakfast was varied, tasty, healthy and more than sufficient.

This stay was a gift for my special birthday and definitely didn’t disappoint. We had a beautiful spacious room on the ground floor with stunning furnishings and all we would need for our stay. We had a warm welcome and showed to our room which had a large walk in shower and standalone bath with all the toiletries we would need. We had patio doors to our own patio. Having been upgraded to a family room we had a super king bed and a small single and plenty of tea, fresh coffee, kettle and fresh milk. We had a lovely cocktail in the bar before a sumptious meal in the Garden Room. We had a 3 course meal with wine - the service and knowledge of the bar and waiting staff was impressive. We finished with a nightcap in the bar for retiring for a very comfortable sleep.

Historic and atmospheric hotel. Nice bar. We had small double in annex but it was very stylish and comfortable with huge bath. (No shower). Generous breakfast in the garden room. Good location if you want to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds.

This is an absolutely beautiful inn with a wonderful, hospitable staff. Every detail is impeccable and a feast for the eyes. The village is so quaint and lovely and we enjoyed our stroll around. We ate all of meals at the inn and the were delicious. We had an excellent time and I highly recommend.

Wow. Beautifully presented and absolutely perfect interiors and garden space. We came for food and unfortunately the kitchen had shut early on a Sunday. (We asked a waiter just before half past 4 to have a look at some menus, didn't hear back for 20 minutes and had to ask another member of staff, then of course the kitchen was closed at 4:50pm, not sure whether we could have eaten before if the member of staff got back to us, which is the only reason why I have not voted it 5 stars.) However, the bar staff inside were fantastically friendly and helpful and the drinks we had instead were incredible. The whole experience was still good, just wish we could have eaten too and regret not asking another member of staff that could have helped us sooner. Didn't put us off coming back again as the outdoor area truly is something out of a fairytale.

Just generally lovely all around! Staff, room, amenities and food all great. All the little extras make you smile. The radio is playing in your room when you arrive, the toiletries are really special, they bring you milk for your coffee in the morning if needed, the extra blankets on the bed are gorgeous, the lighting for reading in bed is a giant bonus… I’m sure there was more but I can’t recall. Anyhow, thumbs up.

Sadly disappointed, decor is tired in places, our room had watermarks on floor in bathroom, and quite dusty, woken up at 7am twice by bin collections, think staff should warn prior to booking that certain days bins collected early. Food good but not brilliant and pricey . Paid extra for upgrade breakfast again ok not fantastic.
