Nice clean hotel. Staff friendly. It kind of ****** that the bar was closed at 10:30pm when we wanted to get a drink after hockey game.

The Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square was very clean and well maintained. The staff took care of our needs very seamlessly. The restaurant in the Hotel was satisfactory. Our son joined us for the last night of the stay so they provided us with a king size room the first three nights then moved us to a double for the last night of the stay which was very convenient. Both rooms were very well appointed.

Everything was fine except every night, for some reason, the room keys wouldnt work and we had to go back down to the front desk to get new keys. When we were leaving, my backpack which was in the corner was wet. Felt the carpet. The shower apparently had a leak somewhere into the living area. We told the desk, I'm sure they'll fix it. Everything else was fine.

This property needs some serious attention. Room needed a deep clean. Not certain how you miss splatter of food and whatever else on walls. The beds (mattress and bed skirt) were filthy. Instead of getting new ones or deep cleaning, there is a plastic thick blue cover that is used as a “‘mattress pad”. It does neither to cover the mattress nor pad it. Food particles on the floor as it was clear the vacuum made a straight shot down the center of the hotel room. For the condition of the room and the price they charge we will not be staying here again.

This hotel has gone downhill. Used to be one of the premier hotels in Columbus. Rooms are outdated. Wallpaper peeling off the corners. Toilet would barely flush. Never made our beds while we were there. Under-staffed on the valet, and the morning breakfast buffet was below average at best. Place needs a facelift, and proper staffing.

The hotel was run down, in need of repair and updating. The food in the restaurant was good, but the ambiance was that of an abandoned dining hall. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink in the room.
