Pier One Sydney Harbour is a class on its own. Check-in was a breeze and our luggages were already in our room when we got there. We got the room with a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it was fantastic. It wasn't a floor to ceiling window due to the design of the building, but it was still magical to see the bridge even from the king size bed. We slept and woke up to that view. The room was also spacious and could fit all three of our large, opened luggages, and had the nespresso machine, usual toiletries as well as robes and slippers. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was spotless.
Breakfast buffet was ample (although other hotels have more offerings during buffet breakfast) but just right for the price. The Rocks, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay are all walkable from the hotel which makes it a great base in Sydney. Pier One really made our Sydney stay more memorable.
You can see the Sydney Opera House when you open the window. The breakfast is delicious. You can run around the Sydney Opera House every morning. There are also large cruise ships docked at the pier. It is quite comfortable.

Great location, best for exploring the city. The staff is great. But there is no elevator and the windows do not open, the air conditioning does not cope
There aren't many basic facilities in the room.. Such as indoor slippers and mineral water (this price is not cheap, even the water is not willing to give.. too much!!!!) I wanted to live here and I could have a view of the opera house.. but not at the same price, I can live in a good hotel. Then because of the encounter with the vivid Australia festival... The road was sealed... I called the front desk to help me call the car to the airport, and specifically asked her where to wait (I know the road seal)... As a result, she was completely unaware of it. Call me at the hotel.. The result is that the car can't come in... It also delayed my time... Finally, they didn't help at all... I have to drag my bulky luggage to the road to call the car. 😡😡😡 In summary, there is no need to live here... The same geographical location, there are many other options😎
I was so lucky to choose YHA Sydney harbour The Rock for my first trip in Sydney. The staff at the reception have a warm service attitude and always give a smile, which makes me feel friendly.
It's very well located, just a few minutes' walk from Circular Quay, and it's easy to get anywhere by Train/Line/ferry.
It is worth mentioning that the rooftop of the third floor has an excellent view, and you can lie on the chair at night, blowing the night breeze, and enjoy the most comfortable moment of the day.
The only drawback I would say is that the room is a little small, and the roommate who occasionally came back late may affect other‘s sleep.
The floor is not high, the room is big, and the facilities are good. The problem is that I didn't book a disabled room, so why was I given a disabled room? You have to press the button to enter and exit the bathroom door, and it closes automatically, which is not very convenient. There was also a fire drill at 6 o'clock in the morning, which ruined my dream.
The service is quite good, the front desk, concierge, and breakfast waiter are all very good.
Excellent location, friendly staff and good service. The room was ready 15 minutes past the check-in time 2pm, the friendly staff gave us a bottle of wine to make up as he noticed we were a group of friends catching up for a weekend.
A fantastic location with great views, a good and friendly staff, though this is a rather large property so there isn’t the same level of attentiveness or distinctiveness you might find at another FS hotel. The room was a bit small but otherwise well appointed. Good food in the restaurant, nice holiday decorations for Christmas. Overall I always enjoy staying here when in Sydney, most especially for the location.
Very Good
