Yesterday, I had the unpleasant experience of dining at Hyatt Regency, Dehradun, for my mother's 60th birthday. Despite making reservations in advance, we were met with exceptionally poor service from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was crowded, but this should not have hindered the timely delivery of our food. After placing our order, we waited an excruciating 40-50 minutes for each special dish, making our dining experience a protracted and frustrating affair. To our dismay, the buffet noodles were excessively spicy, prompting us to request plain noodles from the chef. However, this simple request took an astonishing 45 minutes to fulfill. We had to constantly remind the staff for water and other basic necessities, despite the billing counter being directly behind me. Unable to tolerate the inefficiency any longer, I approached the restaurant manager multiple times, pleading for assistance in speeding up our order. Sadly, my requests fell on deaf ears, and our food continued to arrive at an unacceptably slow pace. By the time we finished our meal at 11:11 PM, almost three hours after our arrival, many of the guests had resorted to filling their stomachs with rice alone, as the majority of the dishes they had ordered had not been served. As a five-star hotel, Hyatt Regency's abysmal service is inexcusable. Customers patronize such establishments for the exceptional service they expect, and the lack thereof is deeply disappointing. I urge the management to address this issue immediately and ensure that future patrons do not endure the same substandard experience we were subjected to.
