A for Art Hotel

A for Art is a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms, delicious food and great staff. It is close enough to different beaches, in an area with a lot of shops and restaurants. I recommend it for friends, family and couples, for short and long stays.

A stones throw from the ferry and on the main street, this hotel has created an oasis in the centre of Thassos. Comfortable rooms and cleanliness as expected, but so many things exceeded expectations. They know how to delight their customers, and it's these little touches that make all the difference. Breakfast had a wide choice and variety, including home made cakes and lovely greek yogurt as well as cooked options. Adventurous food with a sense of theatre made dinner an occasion every evening! Yes, it can be noisy in the early morning, so bring earplugs! Fridge in the room but no kettle, so bring your own, or ask at reception as we did. As always, nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed some lovely walks into the hills above Thassos, to the amphitheatre and other ancient sites.

For our first visit to Thasos we chose to stay at the A For Art Hotel, booked via TUI, and we couldn’t have been any happier with our choice. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Check in was very easy and we were also offered a free drink after dropping our cases off in our room. Two drinks were quickly served to us at a table in the delightful and charming outside garden and we knew at this point we were in for a very good stay. We had a room on the third floor at the back of the building which was perfect for us as it was nice and quiet and guaranteed a good night’s sleep. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and a huge amount of wardrobe and storage space which was a nice bonus. The room was immaculate and was also cleaned every day with fresh towels also supplied daily. The included breakfast had plenty of variety using quality local products. Unlimited Greek yoghurt, walnuts and local honey were the perfect start to my day but there were plenty of other food choices as well. Once you filled up on the excellent breakfast you really didn’t need to eat again until the evening! Special mention must go to all the staff who work at the hotel. Without fail they were all extremely hard working, as well as very helpful sharing their local knowledge and doing everything they could to make our stay a success. The location of the hotel is a perfect base to explore, it’s close to beaches, lots of very good local restaurants, the bus station and ferries and so much more. My experience at this hotel has made me much more likely to return to Thasos and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at A For Art Hotel again.

Food was perfect, the hotel’s design is amazing and it has the most beautiful garden to relax and enjoy world class food, coffee, wine and cocktails! The staff is super attentive and courteous. There is reserved parking right close to the hotel and check in/out was very easy. We had quality time and really enjoyed our holidays. Thank you A for Art!

An alternative Name could be k for Kitsch! Nonetheless, the hotel was nice, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great with a variety of local products. We didn’t have dinner there but we enjoyed the cocktails in the yard. A good bar suggestion, even if you don’t want to stay in the hotel.

Honestly, the hotel and its staff were beyond than we expected. * The hotel is very centrally located in Limenas. You can walk to almost every restaurant. *The rooms are cleaned every day. Ours was always perfectly clean! *The bed and sheets are very comfortable. *The garden is very pleasant and it is possible to spend time every day without getting bored. During our 1-week trip, we came across live music 2 times and had a lot of fun in a perfectly splendid garden with perfect musicians! *The cocktails and food are incredible. They have a very extensive menu, a great chef and a talented bartender. In short, everything was great! The staff are definitely the ones who made this possible. The manager Mr. George, lovely Katerina and the others. Everyone was so lovely, kind and helpful. They even helped us to get our car repaired after it broke down in an unfamiliar island and made everything easy. They made a wonderful surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and even gave him a very special gift! Thank you for everything! You made our travel splendid!

It was a very pleasant experience I would highly recommend the hotel the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Would definitely go back. The breakfast was very nice. A very big choice. Lovely swimming pool

My stay in the hotel was fantastic. Both the quality of services provided and the decor were stellar. The best thing there is the food; breakfast is plentiful and of a huge variety using quality products and the dinner provided was tasty and of the highest quality too. Lovely hotel, I would definitely recommended without a second thought!

W for Wonderful. ALL the staff were wonderful - always there and ready to help, (without any intrusion). The hotel facilities, our room and bathroom, reception, bar, communal areas, garden and pool were pristine, as if it were the first week of the season - (we visited at the end of the season 2023). Breakfast and evening drinks in the garden were delightful. P for Perfect. The location of the hotel is perfect - close to beaches, restaurants, the bus station and ferries (with no noise issues). M for Magic - we had a personal occasion whilst there and the staff made our day extra special. Quite simply, on all points, the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Mark and Gwyn - Room 301.
