We have stayed many times at the Salish Sea and love the beautiful location. However this time the garbage cans were stinky and over full, no toilet paper and our RV site had blobs of food grease on the table and lots of bird poo all over the site. Spoke with the manager who was unapologetic. Sadly, won’t be returning as a result.

Staying at Salish RV haven was our first experience in Victoria in our camper van. The park faces the harbor and is paved with slab sites - but surrounded by small green spaces. The bathrooms are pretty spotless and easily negotiable for showers. The only thing that my husband and I noticed that could be a safety hazard was the fact there is no graded access, but a rather abrupt step-over to enter and exit the areas. There was a half bath available in the 2nd floor gathering space, where this was not an issue. Overall the park was pleasant and close to downtown Victoria. The staff was friendly and the park was quiet in the evening. We would book here again.

We found the RV grounds, the location, and the facilities to be perfect for our stay in the Victoria area. The individual sites, with concrete pads and picnic tables, made it easy to park and to hook up our 27’ motorhome. Washrooms, showers and laundry rooms were immaculate. The clubhouse loft area with balconies were an added bonus for socializing with friends. The location, right on the harbour, permitted easy access to downtown via the boardwalk and biking trail. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Location can be windy so use of awnings is not recommended.

I was making a reservation for another camping spot in BC and the man I spoke with highly recommended Salish. I immediately booked a night on our way back to the States. We had a terrific site right on the water. A glorious place to wash our clothes and a restful sleep. It was so quick to the Ferry in Victoria and back to Port Angeles. I highly recommend Salish. We have a Class B van and it was a real mix of RV’s. An Airstream trailer many Class A’s and some Class B’s. Great place we can’t wait to return.

Great place. We would definitely stay here again. One of the cleanest RV Parks we've been in. Well maintained. Unique views from this Park right on the Harbor. We had site 3, which is adjacent to a small bay. We saw more wildlife here - deer, raccoons, river otters(!), great blue herons, bald eagles - than we did anywhere else in our two week travels about Vancouver Island. Most sites are made private by the placement of the RV on one side and their living space on the other. Ours did not have this advantage, but the wildlife sightings made up for it. A small tree or bush between site 3 and 4 would be great. We stayed in June in a campervan. Front desk people were friendly and welcoming. Showers and laundry were exceptionally clean. The Songhees Walkway starts nearby and goes around the harbor almost to downtown.

The Salish Seaside RV Resort is the 108th stop for us and we stayed 14 nights. A short distance from the ferry stop, this is one of the few parks where the pictures accurately reflect the beauty of the park. It was a wildlife adventure in front of the rig with geese, eagles, otters, seals and deer. We booked to have a view of Victoria and were not disappointed. The concrete pads are excellent, there was decent distance from your neighbor, it was clean/well-maintained and the facilities (clubhouse, laundry and toilets) were top notch. The access to the harbor trail was a real plus for us and the dogs and walked it daily. Sites 9-14 are pull in sites with the best harbor views but will need to get used to people just randomly walking onto your site daily. You are only 15 minutes from the middle of the tourist area and there is a grocery store less than a mile away. Yes there are planes (and helicopters) sporadically landing and taking off in the harbor but it is fun to watch. The one big concern I have (and expressed this with other parks visited) is the “pet fee.” $84 CAD and literally no pet waste stations, dog run or any other pet-related services provided for this fee. Stop gouging pet owners. Have paid pet fees at other parks but at least there was something for the pet. Connectivity: park WiFi 86.1 down/16.3 up with some breaks in service; Verizon 164.0 down/37.0 up; T-Mobile 57.1 down/28.2 up

Very nice small RV park with large sites. Outer sites have view of water and sea planes. Sites 9-15 best unobstructed views. Large clean showers /bathroom. West bay walkway around the corner takes you to Victoria about an hour walk. Easy walk with a few restaurants half way there. We took water taxi back to RV park about $7.50 US money 1 way.

We spent five months (October 2022 to April 2023) in this beautiful park that is small enough to feel like home, with a fantastic view of downtown Victoria, a waterfront walking trail that took us to the downtown and all a completely walkable lifestyle with everything we needed within minutes by bike or walking. Perfectly situated with the added convenience of adorable little water taxis to take us anywhere we would wish to go if we were too lazy to walk. The staff is incredible and accommodating. The clubhouse and facilities are gorgeous and the neighbouring marina and float houses made the neighbourhood fun and so interesting. We definitely plan to return!

Every now and then, it's nice to splurge on an RV site. After several days of "off grid", I'm happy to pay for amenities like clean showers that DON'T require tokens, quarters or Loonies, clean grounds, modern power pedestals with 50A service, water, per site sanitation hook-ups, paved roads and pads. Salish Seaside RV Haven is one of the nicest RV parks we've stayed and given that our "little" Sportsmobile diesel Sprinter 4x4 was surrouned by million-dollar Class-A pushers, apparently those RVer's that ALWAYS overnight at high-dollar parks feel the same. Zero complaints, we look forward to a return visit annually!
