Portrait Firenze - Lungarno Collection

Florence Historic Center Florence|1.18km from Piazzale Michelangelo
Can be described as perfect. Three nights in Florence, 2 nights PORTRAIT, 1 night to experience the four seasons, compare the two hotels, give the following suggestions: 1) Service: Say service first, personal feeling, PORTRAIT service is more cordial and enthusiastic. There is WELCOME DRINK at the door, with beer and red wine and other drinks. There is a doorman from Russia who is very enthusiastic and can really describe himself as a guest. CHECK IN is not the front desk of the hotel. It is a large living room. When guests sit on the sofa, there will be service personnel to go through the formalities. If you leave, you will also ask if you want to bring bottled water. Four seasons, no one can say bad, but it is very standard and professional, but there is no temperature. PORTRAIT won. 2) Location: The four seasons are far from the attractions, but not far away. The distance cannot be said to be a weak item. The hotel has a garden, but it is not very big, but it is okay (refer to the size of Shanghai Garden Hotel). Moreover, mainly, the garden layout is not very special. PORTRAIT is on the edge of the old bridge, the most central location, everything is convenient. PORTRAIT won. 3) Price: Four seasons more than 7900 35M2, no early; PORTRAIT 4500 one night / 4900 one night, 40M2, but the hotel gave me a rise, lived 53 room type, including 2 early. PORTRAIT won again. 4) Room decoration: the room, the four seasons are European style, or the law-abiding; PORTRAIT is more modern, also comes with a simple kitchen cabinet, you can eat yourself. Personally, the style is like PORTRAIT. 2 bedding products are good. 5) Four seasons, because the price is much more expensive, my heart naturally demands him. Service I scored 4 points because it was not special and the price was not good. The Michelin-starred PALAGIO restaurant has also tried, and can only say that it is okay, not surprising, and quite satisfactory. Dinner is not eaten at PORTRAIT, the hotel people will ask you if you like to eat, and will also recommend local good restaurants and help guests book. 6) Four seasons should be expensive in many additions? For example, I saw that there is still a hairdressing. It is estimated that the SPA is also very good, but it is not used. In addition, there are swimming pools in the four seasons, but it is not big or open. PORTRAIT does not have a swimming pool. Recommend PORTRAIT. The above hopes have a reference to later people.

Florence Historic Center Florence|0.5km from Piazzale Michelangelo
Can only agree with what other reviewers have said: this is a small-ish, clean and comfortable hotel made special by the genuine focus on good customer service from all the staff. Special mention to Michele (forgive the spelling) who is one of those people who genuinely wants everyone to have a good time and enjoys helping them out even though he was obviously run off his feet a lot of the time. The distance wasn't a problem for us - it's a simple 10 minute walk straight along the road from Dante's statue next to Santa Croce. It is about as far again from the Duomo as SMN station is to it though, so too far with suitcases on cobbled roads in heat. The roof terrace views of the Florence skyline as the sun sets and picks out the towns in the hills around it were a definite plus, as was the hotel's relaxed views on the honesty bar or just taking your own up to sit and enjoy. The riverside location suited us too - if you're happy to mix with the locals and try out afew basic Italian phrases then this is a great spot for heading where they do for aperitivo. You can either head down in the riverside park (just a basic outdoor bar but very relaxed and friendly and full of locals catching up) or a 10 minute walk up the main road that goes past the hotel away from the river and turn right at the old gatehouse (now in the middle of a roundabout) where you'll find afew decent street bars & restaurants (and a large Coop round the corner). I would have given this 5 stars to reflect the hotel's comforts and great customer service ethos, but for two points: like most of Italy's hotels in converted historic buildings the rooms have been built into wherever they could be fit (it took a couple of days to work out the best route to breakfast through the maze), and on our first night we were put into a ground floor room which looked to be their disability-adapted room. It was just as clean and comfortable as the other rooms but we could see pedestrians' heads as they passed (there are shutters on the windows though). We were moved to the second floor for the rest of the week which was fine. The other thing I would recommend the hotel changes next time they refurbish is the breakfast room - it would be great as a wine bar with its all-white decor, quirky seating and big curved tables at various heights, but not so great for seating guests at breakfast. No doubt social distancing was a factor but I doubt it could accommodate everyone arriving for breakfast in normal times either (you could take a tray away), and even then you're sitting around a big table with other guests, and we could see afew groups who'd travelled together negotiating to be able to sit with each other. Not something that spoiled our stay at all, just something that would make the hotel even better if changed. All in all though a great base for a week and would happily return.

Serristori Palace Residence

I have stayed at the Residence Serritori more than once and every time, I have to say that return is always very pleasant. Very elegant and searched rooms, spacious, equipped with every comfort that alliate even more the stay in the wonderful city of Florence. The palace is just a few steps from the Old Bridge and offers a variety of choices between the various apartments available, all very gentle and well-treated. Another value added to the residence, not to forget, is certainly Daniela, the housewife... simply fantastic.

Florence is a dream of a city, and Palazzo San Niccolo is a dream within that dream. While it's close to everything, it's nevertheless located in a neighborhood which is decidedly un-touristy. Federico and his team effortlessly made my stay in this beautiful, historic and chic place a truly superb one. It is rare that I select lodgings before I decide on a city to visit, but in this case, it's the other way around. Considering this is Florence we're talking about, that's saying something!
LHP Hotel River & Spa

From start to finish, it was a wonderful stay. All the hotel’s front desk staff, Mateo and David and the wonderful lady there, were all very accommodating and helpful. The went out of their way for every need. We are a family of six and we have a lot of needs. The rooms were updated and very clean. Bathrooms fully stocked. Refrigerators fully stocked. Beds were comfortable. The rooms were prepared every day. Daily breakfast was the perfect amount of choices to help start our day. The breakfast staff were also very accommodating helping me prepare food to take to some of my sleepy kids who could make the 3.5 hour window that breakfast was offered every morning. The location was pretty good, right in the river. It was a 15 minute walk to any spot north or south of the river. Definitely a good choice to stay for our next trip!!

The room is big enough, the room is smelly, damp, the toilet above the bed is the bathroom of the room upstairs, and the sound of flushing the toilet can be heard clearly. The breakfast is still very good, rather exquisite. Ctrip helped to reserve a parking space for 23 Euros. It is close to the attraction and can be reached on foot.
