XanaDeluxe Hotel Foshan Danzao — A Genuinely Great Stay with One Notable Flaw As someone who spent most of their trip based at the hotel, I can give a pretty thorough take on what it’s actually like to live in this place for a few days. First impressions The lobby sets the tone immediately. It’s clean, well-presented and the staff are genuinely professional. As an English speaker with only basic Mandarin, I was a little nervous about communication, but the front desk team went above and beyond with translation and made me feel completely at ease. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake. The Room My room was impressively clean overall. The only thing I’d flag is the carpet, which felt like it could use a deeper steam clean. Nothing alarming, and perfectly fine with slippers, but worth mentioning. The air conditioning though? Absolutely elite. Strong, reliable and a lifesaver. Facilities The fifth floor amenities are a real highlight. The gym has brand new equipment, fresh towels and complimentary water ready to go. I spent some solid time on the cardio machines and had zero complaints. The laundry room is also genuinely impressive — four washers, four dryers, plenty of seating, steamers and a dedicated ironing area. Very thoughtfully set up. Food The hotel has several dining options on-site. I tried the dim sum and it was solid. Good variety, good quality and a nice atmosphere. The One Thing That Needs Work Wi-Fi. For younger travellers especially, reliable internet is non-negotiable. Whether it was for remote work or just streaming, the speeds were consistently disappointing. Upload and download were both underwhelming. My cellular signal wasn’t great either, but I’d expect the hotel Wi-Fi to compensate for that, not add to the frustration. Final Verdict This is a hotel that genuinely nails the hospitality side of things. It’s clean, the staff are warm and professional, and the facilities are well above average. Sort out the Wi-Fi and this is easily a five-star experience across the board. I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in Danzao.

The toiletries had a refreshing scent and felt moisturizing on the skin. Breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to help with any issues. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, perfect for both leisure and short trips. Its prime location made for an outstanding experience. I highly recommend it and will definitely prioritize booking here for my next trip.

I had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be back. If you are looking for a high-end experience without the steep price tag, this is the perfect spot. It is located right next to the Marriott Hotel, and the layout feels remarkably similar. You’re getting a very comparable room setup but at a much more affordable rate. The room was spotless. The room was surprisingly spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and work without feeling cramped.

This hotel is in a bustling area. The parking entrance is a bit hidden, so it's best to call the front desk for directions. Ji Hotel and Orange Hotel share the same parking garage, but underground, they have separate entrances, so pay attention to the signs. Check-in is also separate at their respective front desks. The room itself was decent. The toilet and shower are in one space, which isn't huge, but the glass separating them isn't transparent, which is a nice touch for privacy – no awkward moments. Right outside the hotel, a short walk down to the right leads to a pedestrian street. Walking forward to the left takes you to Qinghui Garden. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby, making it quite lively. Perhaps because my room was on a higher floor, or maybe the soundproofing is good, I didn't hear any noise. They also have exercise equipment and laundry facilities (washer/dryer), so overall, I was quite satisfied with the amenities. My stay here was a good experience.

My first time staying at this Sheraton, and while it's not brand new, it offers great value for money. The room had a small balcony, and the location is excellent! From the hotel, a taxi to Fengjian Water Town was about 46 RMB (a bit far), to Fisherman's Wharf was about 17 RMB, and it took only 9 minutes to get to Daliang Shunde Fisherman's Village for dim sum... As a stopover and resupply point, it's more than sufficient. Big shout-out to Gavin Zhao Peilin at the front desk! He was incredibly helpful with his detailed recommendations; clearly, he's a local who knows all the best places to eat and drink.

The hotel is in a great location, sharing the building with a Marriott, and it's very convenient for transportation. There are many restaurants downstairs. The room was spacious, and the staff even upgraded us to a terrace room with a fantastic view. Housekeeping was prompt, and the service attitude was excellent all around. The breakfast was quite varied, with both Western and Chinese options. They had freshly made omelets and delicious freshly cooked beef brisket noodles, especially the chili oil in them was very fragrant. Upon checkout, they even gave us some complimentary souvenir pastries.
