Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating, room was obviously recently decorated and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is reasonable, although you order the night before, it’s still being warmed in buffet containers and you help yourself, which seems odd. Nicer breakfasts to be had in town across the bridge, would go there instead. You can ask for hairdryer at reception, not sure why there isn’t one in the room. Free Prosecco is nice but with plastic glasses and no ice bucket, no fridge in the room either to keep it cool, warms up very quickly. No control over heating, so if you are chilly you can’t put heating on. Towel rail in bathroom didn’t work (room 74) Bathroom is clean and well decorated but dangerous once someone has had a shower. The mechanical extract doesn’t work very well and because the whole room is tiled it gets really wet from the steam. Walls, floor and towel rail stay wet for a long time even with the door open to try and dry it out. Floor is really slippery. The towel rail is also cold so the condensation is literally dripping which means any towels on it get very damp before you even shower. Think this will be a lovely place to stay once the refurbishment is complete. Would suggest a fridge in the room and a chest of drawers. Also a key to open balcony door.
