I was impressed by the service during my check in to the hotel. While they processed, we were given refreshments. Strongly recommend the hotel as it is walking distance about 15 min walk to old city. Morning breakfast buffet is good too as they changes their menu daily.

It's such an amazing time that we spent there. The resort was beautiful and well designed with plenty of tropical trees, large swimming pool and quiet atmosphere. It's the very tough time for hospitality industry, but they still kept their atmosphere quite good. The room was well kept and enough for our stay. However, the electric card was kept on whole day, they could save a lots of money by install door card and electric card in one to reduce the electric usage in the guest rooms.

I like the quiet atmosphere of Anantara, from the lotus pond at the door to the lobby, courtyard, and room. The long corridor basically does not meet other people. There are only a few children in the pool playing in the water. There is only laughter and no noise. After entering the door, the waiter will take the luggage and guide to the lobby to sit and drink while waiting. Instead of going there, the luggage will be delivered directly to the room. What I want is a high-rise room without a lift. The highest floor is the third floor. The rooms are well made, the toiletries are good and the fruits are welcome. Breakfast is upstairs at the SPA. There are quite a lot of varieties, there should be some, the rice noodles are light and delicious. The hotel is built along the river. In the evening, walking along the river is very comfortable. It is a ten-minute walk to the ancient city. Grab can't be called here to Da Nang. The hotel waiter called for a regular taxi.

Excellent stay for two girls. Hotel was very clean and beautiful. Location was away from the bustling ancient town but it was easy to get a Grab. We also walked back from the old town at night. It was a quiet route most shops closed but we didn’t feel unsafe. I would say the route felt safe but do still be vigilant. The staff spoke good English and there was no difficulty at all trying to communicate. Service was excellent, staff offered to help us to pack breakfast after knowing that we were checking out earlier than breakfast time. When our driver was late, staff was also attentive to look out for our driver by the street and offered to help us call and speak to our driver - all without us asking for help! Breakfast buffet was good and the views from the outdoor seats were fantastic. Highly recommended for a stay if you’re in the area!

Room and pool cleaning, garden maintenance, etc. are well done and you can relax. Above all, the hospitality and warmth of the staff are outstanding, and as of May 2023, there are no Japanese-speaking staff, but I would like to recommend it to Japanese people! This is a great family run business by hard working, kind people. Perfect location. The breakfast is great. The bed is great. The ac is great. The room and bathroom are good enough, great for the price. It’s an experience. If you want the Ritz or Four Seasons, I highly recommend you go elsewhere. If you want to see what Vietnam really is, this is great. My wife and I are in our 60s and we met old college friends here who we travel with for a week or two occasionally. When we were young, we did the backpacking thing around the world, but the older we get, the more we enjoy more comforts. This brought us back to our roots and it sure feels good. You first talk with one of the owners in their living room/dining room/kitchen with kids, families running around saying hi. Except for your room, you live in their house and they couldn’t be nicer. I asked if I could use the fridge to put beer in and the guy said I have all kinds of beer here. I asked how much are the beer and he said free, I like to share my beer. . I said no , you don’t understand, we drink a lot of beer. He said , well then, I’ll share a lot of beer. Drink as much as you want. Wow, how nice is that? I couldn’t and bought beer and wine, but the next day we were playing cards in their dining room and were drinking beer and he offered us amazing Courvoisier and expensive Japanese whiskey that had been given to him by executives of those companies who had stayed there. Unbelievable, the generosity and hospitality and kindness of the people here, and all over Vietnam so far, is what is making this trip so memorable. It’s only ~$30ish/night, so don’t expect fancy or resort living. That should be obvious. But, this homestay offers more than any resort ever could, if you allow it to.

Wow wow wow!!!! We were completely blown away by our wonderful welcome from flower and Robert, what a kind, thoughtful couple they both are and we felt instantly at home. Really appreciated all of flowers recommendations (especially the food!) And Robert went and got us a welcome Banh mi which was so needed after a day of travel. Our room was gorgeous, spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed was so comfy and I had the best 3 sleeps of our 14 night trip here, but that also could be because it felt like we were in a home from home. Location is fantastic, just a short walk to the main town but far enough away that its a bit quieter. I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to stay with wonderful Flower and Robert, and little Lewis 😊 Thank you so much for having us, I couldn't recommend the Lion King Hotel more if I tried. It was by far the best place we stayed in Vietnam.

Myself and my daughter had a wonderful stay , the owner and wonderful Mr CONG always helpful . We booked all our tours through him , he booked our tickets to Ba na Hills . Told us to down load the Grab App, rooms are reasonably priced so we got a room each for 7 nights . He also arranged our pick up from the airport , Some reviews said bathrooms needed a bit more attention to detail , but it was minor , remember you are not in Europe . Beds are hard but not a problem for us , spoke to other people staying elsewhere and they seemed to be the same , so maybe it’s standard unless you go 5 star . Beds changed every 2 days , but I’m sure Mr CONG would change more if that’s what you required . He runs the homestay himself and does all the cleaning , he is the most delightful host , and always smiling , we woke him up getting home very late one night and he was fine about it 😊 . Only about a 10 min straight enough walk to the river , you get a good nights sleep as the homestay is down a little street , my daughters room had a little balcony so it saved her having to go downstairs to have a cigarette . Fridge , kettle in the room , plenty of hot water at any time , shop down the way where you can get extra water milk etc. We used the grab app to get taxi to Cui Dai beach , there is also An Bang Beach beside it ,

The two female hosts are literally amazing!! They are so sweet, helpful and will do everything to make your stay the best as possible. They give you great recommendations for local hotspots. The cooking class was so much fun and really informative, because you learn so much! Besides that is the stay at the perfect location, it is very central in Hoi An and you can visit everything by foot or bike. The rooms are really great as well. In short, you should definitely visit the Gioan boutique villa if you want to stay in Hoi An!

Welcoming, genuine, comfy, and convenient. We looked forward coming home seeing the dad, sweet elder -- he always greeted us coming in after a long day. Thuy, she was great, she will help guide if you don't have any plans, but I had a full itinerary already. She cooked for us for breakfast, i loved breakfast vs western complimentary breakfast -- this was a new taste I needed. I suggest you try it all, one every day. We stayed here for 1 week, room cleaning service is completed the second you walk out the building because we came back within 10-15 minutes .... and it was clean. crazy. 100% i'd recommend to everyone except for those whom are wheelchair bound, or needs some sort of assistance walking/climbing. No elevators and theres steep stairs. check google photos for pictures.

My stay at Chillax Old Town turned into an absolute nightmare when the shower screen suddenly exploded, leaving me with glass shards embedded in my arms and feet. Shocked and in pain, I had to remove them myself before reluctantly seeking medical help at a dismal facility, Ho An Hospital. The hospital's grim condition—mold, mildew, and rusted medical utensils—amplified the distress of the situation. Adding insult to injury, although the hotel covered my post-hospitalization costs, they callously refused to compensate for the damage inflicted on my personal belongings by the shower screen explosion. Even when I suggested they cover the excess from my travel insurance instead of the exorbitant repair costs, they cited financial inability, despite boasting four business partners. Their promise to chase up the builders for an explanation is simply not enough. Immediate action is imperative, especially with ongoing guests on the premises. The sheer irony of a hotel named 'Chillax' being the center of such chaos is incredibly astounding. Their blatant disregard for guest safety and well-being is utterly appalling. I strongly caution against considering this hotel for anyone valuing peace of mind and personal safety. The thought of a potential recurrence of a shower explosion at any hotel now lingers in my mind, thanks to this distressing experience. The lack of accountability and care displayed by Chillax Old Town, including their failure to cover damages to personal items, is nothing short of unacceptable. PS: the hotel receptionists were trying to assist where possible. However they are only messengers.

The service is excellent! Very tasty breakfast! The girl at the hotel is as sweet and sincere as possible! She created the mood and attitude towards the city in the very first minutes! For this we are very grateful! We were given fruit as a gift because we are on our honeymoon, the breakfast is very tasty, although modest) here you will feel like beloved guests. The only upsetting thing was the screaming women from the neighboring building, who started talking (screaming) very loudly from 7 in the morning!!!! Right under our window I also really liked the style of the rooms! And plumbing, shower, faucet, all in the same style)

Very nice host, trying to read all wishes from the lips. Very clean rooms, cleaned every day and also equipped with fresh towels. The host even has depended on our washed clothes and folded clean. If you want to go out for longer than 24Uhr, you get the house key - everything in all very flexible and helpful! Ps: orders breakfast in any case!!!! Sooo delicious!
