Tucked away in a Ming and Qing dynasty ancient dwelling right in the heart of the Laomendong scenic area, it truly offers a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle. Step outside and you're in the lively marketplace; close the door and you're in a serene and elegant江南 (Jiangnan) secret garden. The white walls, dark-tiled roofs, ancient trees, courtyards, corridors, and water features all exude a sense of Zen and ancient charm. The design perfectly blends traditional architectural elements with modern wabi-sabi aesthetics, making every photo Instagram-worthy. The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. Amenities like underfloor heating, a giant projection screen, a mini tea set, and a complimentary minibar were all provided, showing attention to detail everywhere. The service was even more thoughtful and attentive. The butler-style service was gentle and meticulous, patiently assisting even with late-night check-ins. Requests for food delivery or borrowing items were handled promptly and efficiently. Although the breakfast was exquisite, it still captured the authentic Nanjing local flavor, with delicious local snacks like duck blood and vermicelli soup and small wontons. Plus, there were two gentle and adorable cats! The location is superb, offering immediate access to Laomendong's food and nightlife. Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) and the city wall are within walking distance. Overall, it's quiet, comfortable, and steeped in ancient charm – the most poetic place to stay in Nanjing, allowing you to truly experience the beauty of the slow Jiangnan lifestyle. Absolutely worth a second visit."

"I made a special trip from Hexi to soak in the hot springs, and after doing a lot of research online, I finally chose this place, and I was really satisfied. 1. Beautiful environment, with flowers and grass outside. 2. The hot spring pool is very large, perfect for two people. 3. Excellent service, including breakfast, snacks, coffee, tea, etc."

"During my business trip to Nanjing, I stopped by the Jiapuji Hot Spring Resort Hotel in Tangshan, and the overall experience was truly delightful – a definite thumbs up! First, the location: right next to the Garden Expo Park, the environment is impeccable. Although it's a bit far from the city center, that's precisely why it's so quiet. The hotel has a modern Chinese style, with white walls and black tiles, which looks very refreshing and makes for great photos. I must especially praise their hot spring! This was my biggest motivation for coming here. Although it's indoors, it's designed to be very private, not like a noisy public bathhouse. The water temperature was just right; soaking in it completely relaxed my muscles and bones, especially after a busy day at work – the fatigue instantly disappeared. The water quality was also very clean, which is very important. The food was also good. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, including Chinese noodles and Western bread, and the taste was worth the price. For lunch and dinner, we ordered local specialties, which were plentiful and authentically flavorful. The service was excellent; check-in was very efficient, and the staff greeted us warmly and responded quickly to any requests. Overall, it's great value for money. If you're planning a trip to the Garden Expo Park or simply want a relaxing place to soak in a hot spring, this place is perfect. I highly recommend giving it a try!"

"The price/performance ratio is very high. You can take a hot spring bath indoors, which is very suitable for mothers with boys. You don't have to worry about the baby not being able to handle it by himself! There are meeting rooms and children's playgrounds, which are very suitable for family travel! Compared with the hotels in the Garden Expo Park, the price/performance ratio here is very high"

"This past Chinese New Year, I had a fantastic stay in their Spring Festival themed room! So, for the May Day holiday, I decided to return to Shangri-La and try their Cherry Blossom themed room. This trip was primarily to celebrate my elderly relative's 70th birthday. We specifically chose a private dining room at the hotel's Jiangnan灶 (Jiangnan Cauldron) restaurant on the first floor. It was a wonderful family gathering for lunch; the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The birthday celebration was a great success! After lunch, it was already past 2 PM, but unfortunately, the Cherry Blossom themed room wasn't ready yet. The front desk suggested an upgrade to the Super Suzhou themed room, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The decor perfectly captivated the kids. Besides playing with the soccer ball in the room, we also spent some free time at the outdoor basketball court and slide on the 5th floor, which is also a great spot for family activities. The Horizon Club is still an excellent choice, offering many amenities. Although we didn't get the Cherry Blossom themed room, they still provided a complimentary cherry blossom-themed afternoon tea. Furthermore, the afternoon tea time and evening light meals on the 40th floor were both excellent! For breakfast, I recommend the buffet on the 2nd floor; there are more options, and the duck blood vermicelli soup is absolutely delicious – a must-have every time! Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay and will definitely choose to stay at the Nanjing Shangri-La Hotel again if I have the opportunity."

"An absolutely fantastic experience, I have to give it a huge, enthusiastic thumbs-up! The hotel facilities are very new and incredibly well-maintained, with all the little details exuding that 'old money' charm. The location is also excellent, not far from all the famous attractions, making it super convenient. I particularly want to commend the service; all the staff were wonderful, especially the ladies at the front desk. They were so thoughtful and attentive, proactively upgrading my room type and showing such kindness to my child. When we checked out, they even specially custom-made a souvenir room key card for my little one! The duck blood vermicelli soup at breakfast was also delicious, and you could even order various types of eggs, haha!"

"It's a great B&B, worth a visit, but hard to say if I'd consider going back. Overall, it was very nice, with amazing scenery and night views. The food was quite exquisite, the room decor was lovely, and the pool had remote-controlled water flow that was quiet and the temperature was comfortable. Service-wise, there weren't any major issues; basic needs were met, such as shuttle service, picking up items, and drop-off at the park. However, compared to top-tier hotels in Nanjing, the difference is noticeable. The service here is adequate, but not proactive enough. Offering things felt a bit stingy. For example, at the Banyan Tree resort, I didn't need to ask anything; the staff rushed over with super enthusiastic service, even smiling when we made eye contact. Here, the staff seemed a bit averted, indicating a difference in professionalism. For instance, I was upgraded several levels of room for free at a high-end hotel, something they couldn't do here due to limited availability. Also, I easily got 10 extra bottles of water elsewhere. They told me to finish my drink before asking for more, so I asked twice more. I also asked if I could have a late check-out because I'm a night owl and really can't get up, but they said no. Other places, however, gave me an hour of free check-out. They also had a small bar of soap, which was supposed to be a gimmick. I specifically asked for it, and they didn't mind if they didn't give it to me, but it felt a bit stingy. It gave the impression that the owner was trying to control costs, especially since the other places were 70% more expensive. I can't expect perfection. Then there was the cleanliness. I saw cobwebs near the lights in some public restrooms, and the sink was a little dirty when I entered. However, the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately, these details made me feel a little disappointed, so I'd give it a 4.5/5. Overall, I'd recommend the experience. Weather is very important, I think. There are 17 rooms in total, and the stay was good. Other aspects depend on personal preference. PS: The complimentary Pearl Spring doesn't include zoo admission, so don't bother going."

I can confidently say that the Thai cuisine here is some of the best I’ve ever had in Nanjing! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Additionally, I indulged in their Thai massage services, and it was an absolute must-try! The skilled therapists provided a rejuvenating experience that left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. While the area may not have as many tourist attractions as other parts of Nanjing, the tranquility and quality of service at Racha Mankha more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with fantastic food and pampering, this is the place to be!"

"[Five-star praise] Nanjing Banxia Homestay (Huanglong Yiyi Store) - a perfect holiday to heal the body and mind! This time I stayed at Banxia B&B, I really gave me too many surprises! From the moment I stepped into the B&B, every detail can feel the intention of the master. The courtyard of the white wall and green tiles is interesting with the green mountains and green waters of Huanglongxuan, as if I lived in the painting. ✨ In the early morning, I looked at the mist of the distant mountains by the pool. In the evening, I soaked in the water to watch the sunset and dyed the red sky. I felt a blockbuster shot. The homestay also prepared a floating afternoon tea intimately. When I was tired, I had a glass of iced drink. I felt full of happiness in an instant. 💛 The housekeeper contacted to confirm the demand one day in advance, and helped with luggage and introduced the surrounding gameplay when he arrived at the store. Every small detail is caring like a friend, and there is no sense of commercial alienation at all. 🌿 The location of the homestay is excellent. The tea field and bamboo sea are opened by the window. In the morning, I was awakened by the birdsong. I can walk to Huanglong Tea Culture Village in a few minutes. I especially like the hiking trail in the back mountain of the homestay. The eyes are green and the stream is gurgling. I take a deep breath and the air is sweet. 🍃 The design of the room is simple and not lost in texture. The log furniture is matched with cotton and linen fabric, and the bedding is soft as if sleeping in a cloud. At night, I shake the fan on the terrace to see the stars, and I collapse in a hanging chair during the day to read a book, completely away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Next time you come to Nanjing, you must have two brushes! Whether it is a couple's holiday, a parent-child trip, or a person to empty, here can let you find the ideal life appearance ～"
