"When checking in, I was told that a late check-out would depend on availability the next morning. The dolphin show I had booked was scheduled for two days later. Upon entering the room, despite it being high up, there was a strong musty smell, and the bedding felt damp! When I reported this to customer service, the front desk just said there was nothing they could do. My expectations were really let down, and I just figured it was an issue with hotels in tourist areas, so I resigned myself to it. However, at that moment, the butler contacted me and asked if I needed any help. What I thought would just be a complaint turned into something much more – the butler not only upgraded our room but also helped us book tickets and perfectly anticipated our travel plans, advising us on the most convenient routes! I will definitely come back again, not because of the room type or the hotel facilities, but because of the butler's amazing service. I was so happy, and they even gave us a gift when we left. "Pros: The butler proactively contacted me on WeChat and upgraded me to a 180-degree sea view room with two queen beds that can be combined, and a bed rail can be added. Breakfast is served until 1 PM, which is great for late risers. The kids' facilities are decent. The hotel entrance is right next to the back entrance of Gangcheng No.1 Mall (the 'Big Pineapple'), making shopping very convenient, and there's a supermarket nearby too. Cons: There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of Russians. Seriously, there were no other Chinese people in the elevator besides my family of three. It's a bit far from the beach, about a 10-minute walk, and there's no shuttle bus. The pool isn't very big. Overall, it's pretty good and the price is reasonable."

"This is my second stay here. This hotel is absolutely top-notch when it comes to value for money! And every time, as long as the rooms aren't too tight, Vivian always helps to upgrade the room type! The service is also very thoughtful! The rooftop pool is absolutely beautiful! In the afternoon, there are even synchronized swimming performances!"

"We had a fantastic stay! We were given a room on a higher floor, and it was really spacious with a balcony directly overlooking the sea. The view was incredibly relaxing. The air conditioning in the room was excellent; it was such a relief to come back to a cool room every time, especially given the season in Sanya. I'd seen some reviews mentioning a strange smell in the bathroom, but we didn't experience that problem at all in our room. The front desk staff and the service personnel at the hotel entrance were all incredibly friendly and proactively helped us with getting in and out of cars and with our luggage. It was also very convenient to get a taxi to and from the hotel. For the price, the value for money is exceptional. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay."

"The Westin in Haitang Bay boasts a beautiful environment and stunning scenery. The unique swimming lane design is gorgeous, and the paddleboarding was a lot of fun – definitely a highlight! If you enjoy boating, this is the place for you. It's right next to the duty-free shop, making shopping super convenient. They even offered a complimentary photoshoot, which turned out amazing [thumbs up]! The overall quality is outstanding, with a serene and beautiful atmosphere. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the duty-free shop. The rooms are spacious, bright, and warmly decorated, with high hygiene standards. Vick provided professional and thoughtful service, always responsive to our needs, making our vacation and shopping experience perfect."

"The hotel's overall decor is very new, and the room is spacious. It's also equipped with a fridge and a washing machine. You need to use your key card to access the elevator, and there's a smart robot that delivers food, plus a designated food delivery locker. You can reach the beach and sea just by crossing the road, and there's a shopping mall nearby. A big thank you to Xiaoru at the front desk and the other staff who checked me in and upgraded me to a sea-view room. They even gave me some sand-digging tools and a toy car!"

"The service was excellent, and the sea view was amazing! I stayed with my parents, but I'd especially recommend it for families with young children because of the many parent-child activities available. Of course, the weather plays a big role. The Holiday Inn behind focuses on families and value for money, while this hotel (Huayi) emphasizes a high-end experience and an even better sea view – particularly their butler service. From before check-in and throughout your stay, a dedicated butler is directly available to answer questions and resolve any issues, elevating the service quality to the highest level. I had various large and small problems, from changing room types to transitional arrangements, and my butler, Abby Xiaoman, handled everything perfectly."

"We stayed in the Wild Goose room type during the May Day holiday. During our stay, we saw squirrels, chameleons, and small monkeys in the park. Compared to Yunnan and Hangzhou, the squirrels here were the biggest I've ever seen, which shows the excellent ecological environment on the mountain. The hotel's breakfast was great, much better than the Hilton Yalong Bay where we stayed the previous two days. My picky eater child's appetite proved that, and the breakfast restaurant offers sea views, which makes eating more enjoyable. If you like peace and quiet, I recommend staying here for two nights. If you prefer a lively atmosphere, I'd suggest staying by the sea. It's lovely to quietly enjoy the sea view here, dine at a sea-view restaurant, and swim in a sea-view pool. However, if you want to experience bustling night markets and seafood stalls, you'll need to go down the mountain, which is quite inconvenient (as I got a bit carsick twice going down, even just from the lobby to Baihua Valley, a personal experience). The resort is divided into several areas, essentially small hilltops, from which you can see Haitang Bay (we could see a bit from our room) and Yalong Bay. Different room types, restaurants, and pools are also distributed across these various hilltops. If you have specific requirements regarding these, I recommend calling the hotel beforehand. After check-in, a manager contacts you. This time, Manager Sun who contacted us was excellent; she responded very promptly to any questions. She helped us book a guide service that the hotel cooperates with the scenic area. Additionally, the housekeeping staff would call to confirm if cleaning was needed. Overall, the hotel's service is definitely up to standard."

"As a frequent visitor to Sanya, the Pearl River Garden Hotel has long been my go-to place for every trip. From my first accidental stay to now habitually booking it, the hotel's attention to detail and warm service consistently draw me back without hesitation. Its location is impeccable, right in the heart of Dadonghai, with a bustling commercial area and food street just outside the door, and the beach only a few minutes' walk away. What I love most is the hotel's exclusive ”Rainbow Bridge” pass; I can use my room card to go straight to the beach, avoiding detours and crowds. The Yori service is incredibly heartwarming, truly attentive like a friend. The Hainanese rice noodle soup at breakfast is as delicious as ever and highly recommended. If you're looking for a Sanya hotel you'll never get tired of, the Pearl River Garden should definitely be on your list. It might not be the most luxurious, but it understands family needs best – like an old friend, it makes you feel right at home with its thoughtful details and genuine hospitality every time you return."
