"The hotel is conveniently located, just a five-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station and a five-minute walk from the Duomo. There's a supermarket in front of the station, a 1.19 euro shop two doors down from the hotel, and a cafeteria (trattoria?) directly across from the hotel that's open from 6am until late at night. Their focaccia is about 2 euros cheaper than other places. Overall, it was incredibly convenient.
The hotel staff were also incredibly helpful. During my stay, I locked my room key in after a staff member had gone home and was locked out. Another guest had to call the owner to explain the situation, causing a huge commotion. They even came over on their motorbike late at night just to unlock the room for me. I regret not being able to express my thanks and apologies in person when a different staff member checked out the next day.
The room was very clean, the shower water pressure and temperature were perfect, and the heating worked well, keeping me warm and free of any issues.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Florence."

"Despite being a 3-star hotel, it's one of the rare hotels where you can receive 5-star service, breakfast, and attention. We extend our sincere thanks to the young lady at the reception desk who addressed and resolved our issues from the moment we arrived; to Antonio and Maddelena, who worked tirelessly in the dining room, keeping the breakfast variety fresh and vibrant, turning it into a feast that satisfied our eyes, hearts, and stomachs; and to the cleaning staff who meticulously took care of our room and addressed any deficiencies. "The hotel is conveniently located near Florence train station, about a 7-8 minute walk with luggage.
I mentioned in advance that it was our honeymoon, so the hotel decorated our room for us ☺️. The bed was huge, and it even had a patio balcony. Including the balcony, it might have been around 20 square meters. The space for walking around and opening suitcases in the room was a bit cramped, but the bathroom size was just right.
The hotel breakfast was also excellent. Every morning, the staff would ask us if we wanted an espresso or a cappuccino, then prepare it and bring it to our table."

"Right by the train station, super convenient! They even let me check in at 11 AM and stored my luggage for free. The staff were all really friendly. They helped me with my takeout order, and when I checked out, one staff member chatted with me, saying he'd been to Shanghai and planned to visit Beijing next. When I came back for my luggage, a female staff member saw I was struggling a bit and heading for the accessible ramp, but she just grabbed my bag and carried it down for me. 🤠 The single room was small, just like in the pictures. The only downside was the soundproofing wasn't great, but for the price, it was excellent value for money. Parking was also convenient right next door, though a bit pricey at 30 Euros a night."

"The hotel is a five-minute walk from the train station. The surrounding streets were quite diverse, with a noticeable presence of Black people. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby, offering a wide range of dining options.
Cleanliness: As an older hotel, the facilities were a bit dated. However, the room was reasonably clean, though quite small and a bit cramped for two people. A big plus was the very strong air conditioning.
Service: The service was acceptable. The gentleman at the front desk was quite handsome, and the older gentleman was also very European and gentlemanly, which was pleasant to see.
Breakfast: The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, though the croissants were just average. A waiter proactively offered coffee and tea. The restaurant had consecutively been awarded Michelin stars before 2018, with a label proudly displayed at the hotel entrance.
Local Amenities: If you exit the hotel, turn right, then turn left after about 20 meters, you'll find a local, affordable supermarket selling bread, fruit, vegetables, and milk, which is very convenient."

GGuest UserThe service is very good, very clean and tidy, the doorman is very enthusiastic, and greets you every time you go in and out~ The room is clean and the bathroom is large, the location is good, and the pasta in the restaurant opposite is delicious. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, but you can only go up from one elevator. The other elevator goes to the suite on the 6th floor~ I didn't meet other people on the terrace, it was quiet and comfortable

HHONGSHENGI rarely write reviews, but I simply *had* to this time! After checking out, I discovered my car wouldn't start – I'd foolishly left something on and completely drained the battery. Within just 5 minutes, the amazing ladies at the front desk found the incredibly resourceful Alessio for me. He first brought a battery charger, but when he realized it couldn't reach, he immediately drove another car over to use its battery to jump-start mine. The entire process was completed within 10 minutes, and it was absolutely free! So, a huge shout-out to [Hotel Name] for such outstanding service, big thanks to the front desk team (both the ladies and gentlemen), and a special, massive thank you to Alessio!

MMarcos 305Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.

The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

The regional train station is right in front of the hostel—we caught our train to Pisa within just 2 minutes of arriving. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. Self check-in is available, and you can store your luggage for free. An automatic cleaning robot helps keep the place tidy. There’s also a 24/7 coffee machine, and games like pool and foosball are available. Overall, it’s a great deal for the price.

TTom loves to travelMe and my partner stayed 3 nights in the hotel, we had forgotten a travel adapter and the staff were so kind and gave one to us. The staff all went above and beyond especially the receptionist Valentina. Breakfast was great, just what you need to start the day. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was great. It was extremely convenient to walk from the hotel to everywhere in Florence, and right next to Santa Maria Novella station. We visited in December and were happy to have hearing in the room. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Upon learning it was my first time in Florence, they gave me a tourist map and informed me about the sights, even drawing a convenient route for me. At my request, they printed out a concert ticket. The room was warm. I made tea using my own water heater, so the absence of a kettle wasn't an issue. Breakfast was perfectly fine, just like at most hotels. The hotel definitely undersells itself with its star rating; it could easily be a 3-star.

GGuest UserIt's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. GGuest UserExcellent location, excellent treatment and service by all the staff, especially by the receptionist who is there in the mornings and who knows how to speak Spanish. Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down.
Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

AAlexandraSHotel overall is okay for a 3 star. Employees were always friendly. Free parking and if full, hotel as a old garage underneath which it was where we parked. Breakfast was okay also for a 3 star hotel.
Amenities nothing to be honest, on our room we had some stuff broken also… could get some refurbishment. And also, it is not a queen bed, it was two single beds close to each other… with no top mattress anything…
