"Fantastic stay! The free airport pick-up and drop-off were seamless. Staff were genuinely kind and helpful from check-in to check-out. I was warmly welcomed, check-in was quick thanks to pre-prepared paperwork, and I even got a WeChat message to confirm if I needed anything else. The hotel is new, modern, and clean, with a beautiful scent in the hallways that reminded me of Crown ****** Melbourne. Rooms are high-tech with heated toilet seats, and thoughtful touches like free drinks in the lobby and bottled water in the gym and room. They even helped me iron my shirts! Special thanks to Yang Qianqian and Shan Yuming. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Jinan, you won’t regret it. If you’re traveling from overseas, message the hotel through your booking and share your WeChat ID, they’ll contact you directly to arrange airport pickup."

"A big thank you to Elsa for her arrangements, which made our entire stay incredibly smooth and comfortable. They even prepared a special surprise for our child's birthday. The hotel boasts an excellent location, right outside Quancheng Square. Major attractions like Baotu Spring and Black Tiger Spring are all within easy walking distance, and public transportation and taxis are readily available and convenient. While the room amenities were a bit dated, they were impeccably clean, the soundproofing was excellent, and the soft bedding ensured a restful night's sleep until morning. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring a wide array of Jinan's local specialties such as Bazirou, Tianmo, and Chatang. The lounge was very quiet and relaxing. It was incredibly comfortable to return to the hotel and unwind after a day of exploring. We absolutely loved Jinan, and the 'City of Springs' truly deserves another visit. Next time we visit, Shangri-La will definitely be our top choice again!"

"One of the best hotels I have stayed considering everything. I think best choice to stay in Jinan and to avoid generic brands. Good location, Spring square near, shoping center around, beatiful 49th rotating floor breakfast, excellent room, 7 bottles of water:), cheap minibar. Not 100% glamorous, 99%, but with much more heart. Thank you Mr. Harry, Mr. Steve and Mrs Amy for your help and information. Only one little advice: bar could be open until 23:00"

"This is a newly opened hotel, close to Jinan East Railway Station. The hotel environment and breakfast are quite good, but I encountered two problems. You can judge for yourself. First, in such hot weather, I woke up from the heat in room 432. The hotel corridor was cooler than the room. Second, the laundry room said that there was laundry detergent for people who are used to hand washing, but when I went there, there was only one bag of baby laundry detergent, a very small bag, which seemed very stingy. The service is just so-so. I hope the newly opened hotel can improve so that it can match this kind of environment."

"Ctrip searched for Jinan five-star hotels and the first one that came out was a new hotel that had just opened for less than a year or two. I chose it and booked an executive room to feel what kind of treatment it would be. Environment: There was construction going on right opposite the hotel, so the environment actually had to be reduced, but the room could not see that direction so it didn't matter. Sanitation: Clean and tidy. Facilities: Complete. Service: Fast but careless. The front desk checked me in at 1809, but the room card said 1807, so I went to 1807, rang the doorbell and swiped the card, but the door could not be opened. At this time, I heard someone say ”wait a minute” from inside. I thought the room was still being cleaned and didn't care. After waiting for two minutes, the door opened! I opened it halfway and saw a middle-aged man wearing a white sleeveless vest on his upper body. He asked me what I was doing with an impatient look on his face? Speechless. He immediately closed the door without saying a word. I went downstairs immediately. I asked the front desk what was going on. The front desk checked and said sorry that they wrote the wrong room number! Then I took the new room card and went to 1809. So far, the hotel has not compensated me. Maybe this is an insignificant matter in their hotel's eyes? But as an i person, I feel speechless, so I deduct one for the service✨, is that okay? Enjoy MINIBAR: This is very good. There are even more snacks in the pictures than shown on their app. Executive floor exclusive benefits: I advise everyone not to book the executive floor, because the executive afternoon tea is as shown in the picture. The coffee is delicious and the snacks are okay, but the egg tart is obviously left over from breakfast (the outer circle of the crispy egg tart is hardened) and the meat floss bread is dry and hard to bite. 🥲 It is understandable that the afternoon tea is limited, but it is another feeling if it is not delicious. So I deduct another one. I didn’t eat the executive dinner. I felt that it might be left over to fool people, so I didn’t want to go. (The service lady at the bar was very enthusiastic and thanked me very much) Breakfast: It’s great. I recommend buying an ordinary room to eat breakfast. There are many types. The egg tarts for breakfast are normal and delicious crispy egg tarts."

"Honestly, I wasn't expecting much out of this hotel. It was just somewhere to sleep for the night. I'm only writing this review because the young lady at the front counter named Ada went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were as comfortable as possible. She upgraded us to a bigger room with a humongous bed (bigger than king size) and gave us a bowl of fruit as a gift. That, combined with the quick and timely shuttle to the airport in the morning, made this stay at Holiday Inn Express an excellent one. Would definitely stay again. 💯"

"Honest Review of The Madison Hotel, Jinan – Good but Not 4-Star Standard According to Trip.com’s grading system, The Madison Hotel is listed as a Trip Plus 4-star hotel, but based on our recent stay, we believe it falls short of that rating. While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification. The Positives - Check-in & Staff: The reception team was friendly, and one staff member could communicate a little in English, which was helpful. - Room Comfort: Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well and allowed individual adjustment. - Amenities: We appreciated the complimentary bottled waters and two soft drinks restocked daily in the fridge. - Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible. The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star) - Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming. - Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient. - Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned. - Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel. Final Verdict The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards. Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Good, but not 4-star."

"Consistently excellent! This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in town for a game. Last year, I even bumped into the Guoan team, though they weren't staying here this time. The rooms are spacious and impressive, with beautiful views. The hospitality was incredibly warm, especially Vicky, who was exceptionally attentive and truly made me feel at home, showcasing the renowned hospitality of Shandong people. All in all, a wonderful trip. Oh, and after Shandong Taishan's 6-0 win against Beijing Guoan, I even made sure to have a smoke by the hotel entrance and waited for some Guoan fans. What a happy day!"
