"Although the hotel is a bit old, the environment is clean and the waiters are friendly. The price is favorable compared to other hotels. There is a parking space, which is very convenient for me who is on a business trip."

"Booked the hotel for 2 nights, but was given a bigger room for the first night with 3 extra queen size beds. Could be a good/bad thing if you are a solo traveller.. nonetheless very good location and also near to the train station and the night market! Value for the money :)"
"It’s a very old building. It looked clean but there was smoke smell in my room. The pillows and blankets were really old as well. They had lumps and the color is old dirty white . I also got bug bites. The staff were nice, though. The breakfast was not great but tolerable. They really need to renovate that building."

"This hotel has a prime location, convenient transportation, and complete living facilities nearby. The room is clean and tidy, with good lighting and comfortable beds, which is very suitable for rest. The service staff is friendly and professional, making people feel at home. The lobby is elegant and has a sense of design, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was quick and smooth. It is a good hotel worth visiting again."

"The room is big and the location is very good
The bed was great and the water pressure was great
Hygiene is no problem
The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, and turning up the air conditioner didn't help.
I stayed for only three nights and the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke on two days.
My friend lives on the 5th floor and there is no cigarette smell.
I live on the 3rd floor. Let me give you a reference."
"The location of the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is better than the location of the Grand Hotel Taipei. Also, the view from the guest room at this hotel was better than the one that my parents got when staying at the Grand Hotel Taipei. The view at the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung faces the front of the hotel with trees and the water fountain. The view at the Grand Hotel Taipei was the parking lot. The subway is a bit far from the hotel. The room was quite big and the price was fine. Also, the room was clean and tidy."

"The hotel's location is the best because it's close to the tourist spot ! The staff is very helpful and kind 💙Their breakfast menu is delicious and has many choices ! (I really like the fresh milk they serve, I'm looking into where I can buy it because I noticed every store they use it in there milkteas ! I forgot to ask it to the staff huhuhuhu) Btw the swimming pool is okay ! Superb hotel. Thankyou ! Jaiyo"
"Although the price has increased by 20% during the Easter long holiday, the price is mid-to-high, and it is a good choice in the area, suitable for the whole family to relax. On the first night, the hotel was afraid that we would not have dinner when we went out, so they unexpectedly provided us with a hot meal. Although breakfast was provided, it was not delicious and was very simple. The home-style coffee machine was also very slow and there were too many people. After queuing up, I had to go out to find something to eat for the children at the end. There were small insects in the quilt of the extra bed, so I had to clean it myself. In addition, there are many animals and insects in the mountains. The Villa has a nice swimming pool, so you can first soak in the beautiful mountain scenery. There are alternating hot and cold hot springs. It is also very close to the cherry blossom forest. In addition, it is also close to places around the city. There are 7-11 and restaurants. You can do some activities before breakfast and in the afternoon. The scenery outside the pool is beautiful. Although the price is a bit expensive, it is still Very good experience."
"The service attitude is first-class, the decoration is also very good, and the supplies and different details are very considerate. It's a pity that I booked the largest room and said there was a window. Unfortunately, I only said that there was a window when I arrived at the scene, but I couldn't see the outside. It was like a ”dark room”. I couldn't see the outside at all. The room was dark all day long. This is very disappointing, after all, it is not cheap. 😵💫"

Outstanding
CClymene LimWe stayed at this hotel in March. While this review is in English, we communicated to them in Chinese. We also observed that they could converse with simple English with the international guests.
Service - The hotel staff were friendly. We were greeted upon entering the door, and attended to immediately. The check-in process was fast. They also explained to us about the amenities - there is an enclosed area where we can chill, enjoy free drinks and ice cream. We were also entitled to one free drink from the par per day. Even the housekeepers were friendly. There was an elderly housekeeper on Level 8 who greeted us and offered to guide us to our rooms - was impressed by this because I wasn't expecting this from any housekeeper from any hotel! The receptionist at the level 2 morning buffet hall was also very attentive. I was looking around for the toilet, when one of the staff saw me and asked me if I needed any help. Please keep this proactiveness up :)
Food - The breakfast spread was huge and the food was scrumptious. Absolutely recommend. It has a mix of local ********* dishes and western food. I especially love the ********* food spread! (see photos for some of the food options, though i didnt take photo of everything).
Room - The room was sufficient and clean. Housekeeping also does a great job at tidying the room.
Location - Right next to Kaohsiung Main Station. I could walk directly to the hotel from the station - it seems like the renovation works that the earlier hotel reviews talked about has been resolved, so there is no longer a need to go to the hotel in a roundabout manner. Super convenient.
Other Amenities - They have washing machines, dryers, and even an ironing board! Powder detergent is provided too. This was something we really appreciated. Also, like what I earlier mentioned, they have a hall with the free-flow ice cream and drinks, which is a great place to chill and relax - especially at night after a long day of activities.
Overall, I will recommend Kindness hotel to those staying in Kaohsiung!

YYEUNGI’m impressed. Excellent ambiance. Spacious room. Lots of varieties of book that one could choose to read. There’re quite a few interesting decors that you want to take photos. Lovely stay. Will definitely recommend to friends.
We also had dinner at Papillon, a French restaurant. It was lovely and delicious.

FFannyC1011Stayed in Nikko Kaohsiung for 2 nights! The room is very comfy and I really enjoyed the bed and bath tub. In the morning, I can enjoy sunshine. It a shame that I didn't go to sauna. I'll stay in Nikko next time :)

TTianshunThe location is excellent, the service is very positive and polite, the room feels good, it would be even happier if there is a bathtub, the breakfast room uses vegetarian food, and the placement of the five-spice vegetarian, egg-lact vegetarian, and vegan dishes can be more clearly distinguished.

TTobias TI recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel located in close proximity to the airport during my trip to Taiwan. From start to finish, my experience at this hotel was exceptional!
Firstly, the hotel's convenient location near the airport made it an ideal choice for transit travelers like myself. The complimentary drop-off service provided by the hotel ensured a hassle-free journey to catch my flight. The efficient and timely transport service offered peace of mind, especially when dealing with early morning departures.
When it comes to service, the hotel staff truly went above and beyond. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly welcome. The reception staff were knowledgeable, professional, and always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate individual needs were truly commendable.
Moving on to the rooms, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern, clean, and cozy ambiance. The well-appointed rooms were spacious enough to allow for a comfortable stay. The contemporary decor and tasteful furnishings added a touch of elegance to the overall experience. I particularly appreciated the attention to cleanliness and maintenance, as everything appeared to be in pristine condition.
The hotel's amenities further enhanced my stay. The comfortable beds provided a good night's sleep after a long journey, and the well-equipped bathroom had all the necessary amenities. Additionally, the complimentary Wi-Fi kept me connected to my loved ones and allowed me to catch up on some work during my stay.
To top it off, the hotel's dining options were delightful. The in-house restaurant offered a wide array of delicious local and international cuisine, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. The attentive and friendly staff made dining a pleasurable experience.
Overall, my stay at this Riverside hotel was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of its convenient location, excellent service, and modern, clean, and cozy rooms made it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to stay near the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and impeccable service during their visit to Taiwan.

GGenevieveThe location of Han Hsien is very convenient. It’s only twenty minutes from the airport. There are coffee shops, bakeries, and markets, fruit stalls and flower shops in the neighbourhood. The Birthday Park is just around the corner. There is a pool, a spa and a Cantonese dim sum restaurant in the hotel which are all of good standard. The hotel is not new but it is well-maintained.

GGuest UserIt was right next to the MRT Cianjin exit. The room had wooden floors and a large window with a screen that partially opened. There were two bottles of bottled water and two bottles of sparkling water, as well as shampoo, body soap, and hand soap. The shower booth was spacious and had strong, hot water.
The top floor was a lounge with a water server, coffee, tea, snacks, fruit, and more. It was the breakfast venue in the morning.
There were four rooms on each floor and two elevators, so there was no waiting and it was very quiet. Thank you.

HHsu NadiaMy second time staying here, perfect location right beside kaohsiung station, only the construction site right beside the hotel starts early morning, breakfast is rather simple, ended right on time 10:00am, not even a second more, didn’t provide enough food as most of the plates are empty for people who arrived half an hour before they shut down.
Booked a penthouse for 2 pax and got upgraded to a 4 pax room, but with amenities for only 2, the aircon cannot be adjusted to desired temperature and when I asked for another blanket there’s a surcharge of 100nt. which I never encountered to any of the hotels around taiwan, only at the hospitals.
