Xining Hotels with Kitchens

"This was the last and most satisfying hotel I stayed in during my 25-day journey. Its location is fantastic: directly opposite Xining Bus Station, with the train station just across a small road to its left, and the long-distance coach terminal a little further. When I arrived, laden with bags, and asked the front desk to store my luggage first, the two young ladies at reception carefully organized and put them away for us. After checking in, they were incredibly helpful, answering all our questions politely and speaking in gentle tones. The two gentlemen we encountered during the day were equally courteous. The room facilities were on par with or exceeded a 3-star standard, featuring a wet/dry separated bathroom and excellent shower pressure. Despite its proximity to the train station, bus stop, and long-distance coach terminal, our nights were surprisingly quiet, and it wasn't noisy during the day either. A minor flaw is that the rooms aren't particularly soundproof from each other; I suspect this is due to unsealed pipes inside the wardrobe near the window. The breakfast selection and taste were both good, and the restaurant itself was clean and tidy."

"Staying at this hotel was a great experience. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and the lobby's decor was beautiful. They offer a variety of services, and responses were always quick. They even have robots deliver food orders directly to your room! The breakfast on the second floor is a buffet with tasty options, including potato buns, beef noodles, and rice noodles. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. Any issues in the room were addressed promptly and resolved well. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Central Square, and it's close to the airport shuttle. Plus, there's a Wangfujing supermarket and various local snacks nearby. When I asked about good places to eat, the front desk staff gave excellent recommendations."

"Nice room with view from neighborhood. It's 30min walk from downtown but there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. I was the only guest during the 4 nights I was there, so not much of an atmosphere despite the nice social areas. The heating system (underfloor) works only in the night so it's a bit chill during the day. There are hot showers and possibly of doing laundry (10yuan a load)."

"My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!"

"One of the good hotels I have stayed in China especially when talking of “value for money”. Facility is clean, rooms are spacious (＜40 meters) with good amenities, service is good, the best part was the breakfast which I found to be a good balance of Chinese and English. Foriegners and people with dietary restrictions will have enough to eat. They also have kids play area on the top floor which my son enjoyed playing. Location is also good. 15 mins to the railway station by taxi. A shopping mall just 400 meters from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you are coming to Xining."

"Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, and the bedding was as comfortable as sleeping on a cloud. Plus, it had cooking facilities, which was a huge bonus. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating; they even gave us a free upgrade since we were traveling with our child. The breakfast spread was delicious and abundant, and our little one had a blast. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip!"

"The location is easy to find and very close to the Daxin Street Night Market, with lots of delicious food. The room provided disposable toiletries and a disposable toilet seat cover, which was a very thoughtful touch and deserves praise."

"Really clean, really friendly owner, really good location, in short really good. Very strict on no smoking rules, that's great. Would come again and can recommend! In the winter there is no heating in this hostel but they provide warm blankets and this awesome heating sheet under the main sheet (don't know how to describe xD) so it's okay. 谢谢 :)"
