Akti Palace Hotel

Akti Palace Spa I had a back massage and a facial this afternoon and it was wonderful. My whole body feels relaxed from head to toe, so relaxed in fact I fell fast asleep during my treatment. The pressure was just right. I would highly reccomend this treatment. My therapist was called Sophia and she made me feel very welcome. I will definitely book again! Thank you

Very relaxing and peaceful. Really nice experience. Staff are very kind and helpful, Theodora, bill and kostas were all very nice. Would absolutely recommend to everyone. It’s in a very nice and calm area of the hotel which helps you to relax

if you like an adventure go to akti palace, never a dull moment. for example a million ants in your room, bed and clothes. Broken shower & broken toilet in all the rooms we had. FYI we had 4 rooms in 12 days! If you want to loose some wait pls go to Akti Palace, The food is so teriible t hat you will be skinny by the end of your hols. The best diet ever!! If you don't like a friendly guest relataion manager, pls go to akti palace. She does not know that you excist. The only 10/10 I can give is for the staff in the restaurant and bar. If you like to fight afterwards with the touroperatour, pls book this hols with TUI. Trust me you will have a very interesting experience with the hotel and the tourporator when you get back. If you like a Horror holiday, pls book this holiday. Trust me you will be disappointed.!

There are a lot of good things about this hotel. The setting is great, the grounds are lovely and the pool area is nice with plenty of good quality loungers. The food is good and I found a varied choice. Bus into Kardamena is a plus and very reliable. Also a bonus being able to use all the facilities of the akti beach. What lets it down for me is that it is marketing itself as a 5* but does not seem to have enough staff or quality products to deliver this. All staff seemed rushed and overworked - it was very difficult to attract attention to get drinks or service during dinner. The staff are mostly lovely - just far too busy. The main gripe for me though is the drinks offer. All drinks were of a poor standard. The orange juice at breakfast was sugary rubbish, the coffee was poor and the alcohol offerings terrible. There are no branded drinks apart from baileys - this would not be an issue if the drinks were quality, but they were not. The cocktails were all pre-made and sugary. The wine was usually not chilled at dinner. I am sure this is a key way the hotel is making savings which I understand, but then it maybe needs to downgrade the star rating accordingly. The other annoyance for me was having to traipse to the spa to collect fresh beach towels and being given the hard sell whilst there everytime. Spa is also at the other end of the resort from the pool and beach.

Just back from a week’s stay with our two teenage daughters. We booked 2 of the gf apartments with private pool access (for 4 gf apartments). Upon arrival ‘George’ a very friendly staff member offered us refreshments and directed us to the buffet for snacks which was welcomed after a 5hr + journey to get there. We arrived around midnight. We were then disappointed to discover that our apartment did not have any electricity so we were eventually taken to another for our first night (at about 1.30am). Not ideal and even less ideal when we were advised we’d have to vacate this room before 9am. We complained about this but in the end our desire to get to our original apartment and unpack was greater than the need to sleep on. So off we went to reception to see what was happening. We got our keycards and after about half an hour an electrician arrived and fixed the issue. We asked reception to make a note and to consider granting us a free late check out upon departure for our inconvenience. They did do this but we didn’t have it confirmed until 6pm the day before departure. We found most of the staff to be friendly and helpful - bar staff near restaurant vg - barman at pool bar - vg but quite a lot of the waiters and waitresses could try a lot harder and you have a bit of a wait for tea/coffee/water to be brought by them at mealtimes - other resorts we’ve stayed in have machines for hot water & coffee & buckets with ice and water bottles so you can help yourself rather than ‘inconvenience’ the staff. I’d say the food was ok. Better on some days than others and it tends to be a lot of the same stuff. There’s a good selection of things to eat at every mealtime but it’s just not up to the standard of other hotels we’ve stayed at. The pool bar was quite nice for lunch with a decent selection of salads/fruit and some hot things. The beds were comfortable, the rooms given a tertiary clean daily with a towel change when you need it. But be warned the cleaner likes to come early at 8.30am and will let you know her displeasure if you ask her to come back later! Not a great attitude for a quick glass rinse bin empty and a sweep up! Sheets weren’t changed but that may be the norm? The fridge top up guy comes shortly after at about 9am and you can get water wine fizzy juice fruit juice and beer so that was a nice touch. There are birds nests everywhere including over some of the lights near your sleeping accommodation and over the top of some tables in the dining area so whilst it’s nice to wake to the sound of a dawn chorus, if it’s at 4am every day that’s not so nice! You will need swim shoes for the beach as it’s pebbled and very rocky leading into the sea - I recommend getting your own for £5/6 before you leave rather than pay €15 from the local shop! And get down there quick, there not that many beds. Acomodation was very good and service by staff too. But alcohol drinks were realy disgusting. I expect, that five star hotel will have good-quality beverages, not some sh*t mixed with oversweetened lemonade from postmix. I want to thank very wiling and pleasant barman Nicolas, thank you for your service!

We have just returned from Akti Palace. It was more than expected. The staff are generally amazing. Just one or 2 staff that were a bit grumpy but other than that everyone was very helpful. The wee man handing out the towels at the beach was so nice and always happy to chat and help anyone. George was lovely and so helpful, we had some chats at night and his crepes are amazing too. Thank you George you made our holiday very special. The room could have done with a wee bit work to make it 5* quality but was always clean and the cleaner was so nice and done an amazing job. The food was really good too. The sports centre on the beach was so good, the staff there were both lovely and happy to chat to you and helpful. Free shuttle bus to the town which was brilliant. Loads to do, go-karting (just a 5 min walk from the hotel), horse riding and loads of water sports like paddle boarding, parasailing and much more. When we went it wasn’t too busy so got subbed at the beach and by the pool without any issues.

We had a great holiday at Akti Palace. Friendly and accommodating on arrival and checkin was fast and organised. We was given a glass of bubbly and escorted to our room which was up some steps on the 3rd floor overlooking a private pool area. Only the ground floor rooms could use this area which we didn't realise at first as it wasn't made clear to us. Mini bar in room well stocked every day. The complex is large and it took us a while to get used to it because the rooms are in blocks painted exactly the same. There is a large main pool with plenty of sunbeds and parasols and never had a problem getting a spot in the sun. The pool bar was great for snacks during the day and at night for the entertainment and service was very good. The staff and the Pool Bar Manager (Savos) were very friendly and remembered our drinks providing a great table service with crisps too. So sorry I didnt take their names the Pool Manager and the younger chap who is always there were great. The Main Bar was also great for an afternoon drink from Billy (very friendly and informative) we also loved Nicolas!!! He is an absolute legend. He runs that Bar like his own and you feel so welcomed. He could do with more help at times he is run ragged with demanding guests and is trying to wait tables and serve which is impossible but he does it with a smile. The buffet restaurant is great too. Plenty of choice lots of meat and fish, and salads are amazing. Table service is great. Particularly from the lady and 2 younger men ( sorry can't remember their names ) I could not complain about the food or service here. Have to shout out to George who runs the night food in the main restaurant He's a lovely man, very professional and always smiling and happy. The themed restaurants are good but far too much food! Need to cut the portion sizes down. Kardamina is about a 40 minute stroll along a flat road. Fabulous little town with a marina and great bars and a few nice shops with good designer copies. On the negative.... The beach is stoney and across a small road so we didn't use it but great views across the sea. Maids cleaned room every day but didnt change our sheets and left them in our room which to change ourselves whuch was odd. Would have been nicer to have branded premium drinks and better quality beer. The cocktails were pre mixed and weak. I dont really drink them but disappointed if you do. Some people don't respect the rules and give the staff a hard time. Some people are rude, particularly some big groups expecting the earth because its 5 star, and making noise at night and not taking glasses back. The hotel dealt well with it well and the night reception/ security man was onto it, but it's a shame when people come and try to spoil it Overall a great holiday and we would come back again!
