The hotel's overall environment and service were excellent. It was quite nice, and the room was clean and very satisfying. The service was excellent and attentive, the facilities were complete, and the cleanliness was excellent. The location was great, close to the beach. I'll definitely stay again. The bed was comfortable, and the service was attentive and meticulous, making me feel right at home. The staff was warm and friendly, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Service provided was absolutely great, staffs were patient and friendly! We arrived late at night and there was no eatery available but the receptionist borrowed his phone for us to order food. Assistance was readily available whenever we needed help. There were no stains on the beds, room was clean and big. First time staying at a hotel in China and it was a pleasant experience! Recommended!

The hotel's facilities are new and modern, and although the staff didn't speak English, we were able to communicate through wechat. The service was great and welcoming. The hotel is located near the beach👍, but it's not crowded, so you can enjoy the sea; yet, downtown is not so far away if you want some sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel.

It's very close to the beach, just a five-minute walk to the ”One Country, Two Systems” beach. The rooftop terrace offers beautiful sunrise and sunset views, and there's free parking downstairs. The owner is very friendly, giving me two breakfast vouchers and even upgrading my room for free.

This was a pretty great stay. Hardware-wise, our room was clean, odor-free, and quiet, with accessible pathways and grab bars in the bathroom, which was very convenient for guests with disabilities or elderly visitors. The parking lot was spacious and parking was easy. The hotel is also very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. Software-wise, the front desk service was attentive and warm; seeing us with a wheelchair and being elderly, they proactively helped us with our luggage to the room. The room was cleaned daily, and breakfast was light and tasty, perfect for older guests. The security guards were very responsible; they'd lift the barrier for us whenever we drove out, making getting around very convenient. The only downside was that the TV remote wasn't very responsive; you had to be quite close to change channels.

I checked out a few hotels in Xiamen, but my schedule was quite tight so I didn't have much time to compare them carefully. However, upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant surroundings. It's located directly across the street from the sea, and downstairs there's a bustling street with shops and snack stalls, making food and drinks incredibly convenient. The guesthouse itself was very clean and well-maintained. Overall, it's a fantastic spot, offering excellent value for money.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs.
The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious.
The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊
From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏
I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator.
The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄
The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋
Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍
Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city.
What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯
The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely.

One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷
Overall: highly, highly recommended.

GGuest Userthe scenery was gorgeous at night and in the morning,, definitely would recommend! front desk receptionist was also really helpful to us ! i bought taobao and both receptionist was very kind enough to help me find my parcel and the lady even helped me with the pick lockers because i was not a local so i did not know where it was. there are loads of food around the hotel as it was a 2-3 minutes walk away from zhongshan lu!! overall the stay in the hotel is very clean, and there was room service everyday so don’t need to worry if you make a mess. everything is provided as well and receptionist is also very kind enough to let us know about the scams that we have to be wary about! very informative and friendly personalities !! definitely recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a good hotel for an affordable price !

It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
