We drove from Charlestown to The Talland Bay Hotel for lunch today. We are so glad we did. From arrival to pre lunch drinks to lunch and then a walk around the grounds...everything was amazing. We were a couple and had the whole plaice and rump steak. Both dishes cooked to perfection and delicious. We ate in the conservatory with views to die for. Elsewhere, Christmas decorations were up and the place looks stunning. Hats off to the waiting staff (and chef of course) on a rather quiet day...they made it special for us. It's not cheap, nor should it be in such elegant and so very, very British Cornwall surroundings. A true gem. We will book a stay next time we come. Thank you TB Hotel. x

The Bay Talland is simply stunning 💕 we have just spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary here, sea views are amazing from house 35 & Hot Tub on the private decking, on each occasion we had the indoor pool and Sauna to ourselves. House 35 is fabulous. Beautiful setting, lovely accommodation and owners. We will definitely be booking again! highly recommend, perfect for that special holiday 😎 #TheBayTalland #looe #cornwall

We spent another fabulous 3 nights at this glorious hotel tucked away in the beautiful surroundings of Talland Bay. This was our first trip away with our 8 month old Jack Russel pup so we were naturally anxious about how she would behave and how other guests and hotel staff might respond. We needn't have worried. She soon settled into a routine and the staff all went out of their way to make us all feel at home. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was sublime and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the superior suite (Room 20). Thank you to all the staff and we'll surely see you all again next year.

Cancelled our booking due to an issue with their online booking system not taking children into account even when entered in the search options. Refunded our deposit but took no accountability for it being an issue wholly within their control and left us without a room or alternative.

Recently back from a fantastic stay at Talland Bay Hotel. Sadly just one night working our way home from further West. What a unique experience. Totally quirky decor with a surprise around every corner; splendid sea views; extensive drinks (especially gin!) menu in the comfortable bar; delicious food (lobster specials when we were there); amazing bathroom in our Yellow Submarine room and most importantly probably the friendliest staff we've ever experienced in a UK hotel. You have something very special here Jack so please keep doing what you are doing and we hope to be back very soon!

Visited for a 2 night weekend break at the end of April. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Greeted with a smile by Jack who gave us the welcome news that we had been upgraded. Room 27 is extremely spacious with an amazing sea view. Excellent choice of food at breakfast which we enjoyed in the conservatory. We ate in the restaurant on the Sunday evening. The food was delicious, and the service just right; friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. We highly recommend the hotel and it will not be our last visit.

Truly the best dog friendly stay we have had. The Talland was faultless from start to finish. Staff are attentive and super friendly, and absolutely LOVE dogs! Our room was absolutely beautiful and perfect with the accessible patio outside. Everything had been thought of to the highest standard including the doggy welcome pack with towels, bowls and poo bags! Not to mention homemade dog treats! Guest doggos also receive chicken for dinner, a sausage with breakfast and there’s a dog shower area - perfect after muddy walks! We felt so welcome from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The food was divine and service impeccable. It’s obvious how much the staff love their jobs because they’re so passionate talking about their beautiful hotel! And we love the unique features - it’s what makes Talland, Talland! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you all from Mabel and co x

We had a wonderful Afternoon Tea experience today. Great selection of savoury and sweet items all served in a beautiful bright conservatory with lovely views. Thank you Jack for looking after my neice and I so well. Hope to return again soon.

Great Mother’s Day lunch. Superb natural service by Ev very engaging with humour. Not stuffy but professional. Food was extremely well presented and tasty. Lovely terrace dining room with views out to sea. We’ve stayed here in the past and lovely it. Highly recommended.
