This company should be ashamed of themselves for being associated with Halcyon developments who are building the properties on the site of this hotel. Over four year ago I bought two fractions and despite so many promises on my capital being returned I dint believe I'll even get my money back. They're not even paying the interest now. If anyone tries to sell you a fraction DO NOT INVEST. If they tell you they don't know me or can't trace me Don't Believe them as this is what I was told when I queried a negative review.

We stayed with another couple for 3 days as part of a Wyndham points deal in September. I was not going to review this property as they seem to be trying hard to get a reputation but I’m writing this because on checkout we paid for some bar items and for breakfast for one of the mornings out of the 3 days and as it was in French we just paid and left. When we realized that they charged us for Breakfasts for the 3 days we immediately sent and email explaining what they had done we have been completely ignored so if by chance you stay here watch what your paying for as the couple we were with were overcharged as well

Wonderful chateaux experience. We were beautifully and unabtrusively looked after from start to finish. Loved the look and feel of the place in a rural setting and our room very well appointed. Food and service good. Enjoyed cycling and walking on the property and taking photos of the Monet- like light in the late afternonn

Having been an avid viewer of UK TV program "Escape to the Chateau" it had always been a dream of mine to visit an original french chateau. The Wyndham Halcyon Resort definitely did not disappoint! Driving through the countryside and then along a treelined lane that opened up into the grounds was one of my favourite moments because seeing the Chateau for the first time just felt magical. I loved hearing about the history of the place, and the staff were so happy to share that with us. (The paintings in the breakfast room are fascinating-ask about them!) Across the way from the main Chateau is a second one; smaller and much older - like a fairytale castle with turrets. We were told it is going to be turned into a spa which sounds incredible! Great food, service, and our room was lovely,- felt very luxurious. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to go back again one day.

I visited the hotel for a long weekend in October 2022 and had a lovely time. The hotel itself has loads of character and is unlike any other place I have stayed. The staff were friendly and the food was exceptional. Especially the dinner menu. I spent the days hiking and cycling around the surrounding area as we were very lucky with the weather.

Very cozy hotel with wonderful surroundings. Ideal for a calm and relaxing stay in the French countryside. The pool was very nice and the room was big and comfortable. It was very clean even though we found a spider in our room. The restaurant of the hotel is closed someways during the week but the staff was prompt in presenting alternatives. Breakfast did not have much variety.

Interesting old chateau, a little tired in places but worth a visit. Restaurant was closed on the day but there are options in La Souterraine which is not far away.

Greeted by "No guests are checking in today." They were mistaken. Reception ran up the stairs to check on a room for us. I wanted to love this place but much to be desired. Flies on the ceiling, they obviously were not expecting us. Stained carpet. Wish we had stayed elsewhere.
